"Hey, wait up!" Super Sailor Aster called out to the blue-haired Knight who she followed out of the meeting. She had heard about a Negaverse agent turned Knight, but had not met the woman before. Her story she told in the meeting and appearance, however, fit the bill of the rumors. The Senshi of Sunflowers upped her pace as she followed after her, not taking a hint at when someone may want to be alone. "Wait! You're that former Negaverse chick, right?"
By the time she had caught up with her, she was already a little out of breath. She looked behind her - she hadn't run very far. They were scarcely a block away. She had to stop smoking so ******** much.
"I just want to talk to you," she panted as she caught her breath. "I'm Super Sailor Aster, Senshi of Sunflowers."

There was a small sliver of time where Lina considered turning around, punching the super senshi in the face and continuing to steam away like the Titanic of pissed-offedness. However Aster had been the one whose point of view she agreed with so instead of punching her the Knight of Mercury turned abruptly. "Yes. General Linarite, that's me. Everyone's like 'Oh no that was you!' but I'm still her. She's still me. Then again from what we just saw, everyone's pretty much ******** ignorant. I'm Lina now though, just Lina Knight." Just. Thank God. Princess Lina had been just a bit too much for her to handle and thankfully very few knew about her incidental husband.
"I'm a bit tired of talk though so before I have a stroke or something, what is it you wanted? I'm about to go Sephiroth on the whole place if I have to listen or participate in any more arguments." Normally Lina was a bit more patient, a bit more tolerant, but some things just went a bit too far. Realizing that she was probably going to die without achieving her goals and yet again failing to save anything that mattered could do that to a person.
God her heart hurt.

Aster had no idea what a Sephiroth was, but she knew when someone wanted to talk - and this was certainly one of those times! She did, however, sense some frustration. "You seem a bit tense," Aster noted, ever observant. She stuck her hand down the collar of her fuku and from within her cleavage pulled out a joint and lighter. She placed the thing in her mouth and lit up, taking a quick hit and blowing smoke out to the side before offering it to the girl. "Here, this will help."
"The idiots back there are going to get themselves killed if they try diplomacy," Aster shrugged at the reference to them all. "Hopefully they can be reasoned with in time. It really only seems that to purify is the only way but ******** if I know how that's done. I was hoping you might know a thing or two?"

Trying to release the tension in her body, unable to, Lina waved a hand through the smoke blown in her direction before waving the joint back towards the senshi of sunflowers with a bit of a snarl. "Nope, don't touch it. Have a friend who hotboxes the s**t out of their room and that's bad enough for me thanks. Rather have all my edges and be tense than mellow out and get stabbed. Again." The bluenette was not at all familiar with what happened to Aster, indeed she'd really never even seen Aster before this day to realize that anything that had happened to the girl. No, as always Lina was wrapped up in her own thoughts, her own memories, without realizing much else.
Old habits didn't only die hard, they almost never died at all.
"What worries me more than them getting killed, because I still don't regret the loss of an idiot, is that they might be corrupted themselves." Fingers reached up to brush her ear, the scouter sliding itself out in front of her eye with a small flash to flick through the personal database of power readings. "In that room you had at least a dozen Eternal senshi, one obvious princess, one moon princess of huge potential power, and how many other super senshi? Don't even brush off the power of a first-rank senshi because their possibilities are strong. Chaos does a lot for a senshi. But nobody thinks." Pacing again angrily, she was all but ready to wear a hole in the street with her stalking back and forth.
So Aster wanted to know about purification? "Purification sucks. It burns, it's painful, and you lose memories of people that you cared about. Everyone that cared about you can never see you again except as a traitor. You lose your family, your friends, your comrades but you also lose the corruption." Oh go ahead Lina, make it sound totally appealing why don't you? Frustrated with herself and her bitterness as well the young woman stopped pacing with a long sigh.
"But for the first time in years I felt free. What people don't understand is that the senshi can choose not to power up, the knights can turn their back on what they are and never power up again. They have that option if they can live with the guilt of it. Officers don't have that choice. They do what they are told or they are punished, maybe even killed. Purification saves them from that because then they can choose if they want to walk away or if they want to continue the fight." That's what was important to her, the choice she wanted to offer to everyone that she'd fought with. Everyone she loved.

Aster needed to take another hit at the mention of stabbing, that always cooled the nerves. It had been over half a year since her attack, but it still got to her from time to time, especially on a night where she had already discussed it earlier. She listened the Knight speak, half-afraid to make eye contact, so frequently looked down to her green slipper shoes.
"The way you describe it, you almost make me feel bad for the purple-haired c**t who attacked me," she suggested with a light laugh. "I can't understand the arguments going on inside that room. If purification is rescuing a Negaverse agent and also helps end the war, then its a win-win solution to a war. I'm more of a studier of peace than of war, but I'm pretty sure win-win scenarios don't happen very often."
She paused for a moment to think her owns words over. "I'm sorry for what you had to go through to finally free, though. That sounds awful, man."

Two things had Lina's brain pinging off of her skull in surprise and interest. The first was 'purple-haired c**t' which made her think immediately of Tanzanite though usually the Youma Queen didn't leave survivors to talk about meeting her in dark alleyways. Lina was generally the lucky one whom Tanzanite refused to kill instead taking joy from the pain they inflicted on each other in so many ways. Probably not best to talk about her in the end, so that ping was brushed off and tossed away into the darkness so that it might silence itself.
The other was that Aster felt sorry for her. Not because she'd lost something or because she was pathetic but because she agreed it sounded like it sucked. Not that Lina should be so grateful for her fortune to have been luckily purified but that she'd lost something in the transfer, something far more important than power. It killed some of the fury so that while still angry, decidedly piqued, Lina wasn't ready to rip out the nearest senshi's throat for mentioning the subject of what to do.
"Yeah well, things are okay. The problem with the whole thing is that you have corruption telling people that they don't want to be purified. Nothing is wrong with them so they won't come willingly. You'll have to fight them, knock them unconscious or hold them down long enough to get the process started. It's pretty precarious from my understanding of it and we'll probably lose people just trying to force it on them. I get that nobody wants that but...that's reality. You don't always get what you ******** want." Eyes rolled, a fist thumped lightly against a nearby building.
"They're people too. Just like us. Some of them were kinda creepy dysfunctional but that doesn't mean they deserve to die. Nobody deserves to die...except maybe Beryl. I could stand to lose her."

Aster didn't know who or what a 'Beryl' was, and like "Sephiroth' or 'Mitt Romney' or any other reference she didn't understand, she just assumed it to be a type of pretty butterfly and moved on with a smile and nod with crazy eyes.
"I've learned that I need to fight, but I am still and forever will be reluctant to kill," Aster nodded. She worried that she would be killed in the process of trying to purify others, but she always gave a 150% percent to her causes. Former classmates can still recall her schoolyard activism of sidewalk chalk protests against the prohibition on sidewalk chalk messages. "Though, how exactly do we purify them? Is there something I do them?"

Rolling her shoulders, feeling the need to move around Lina sighed and looked down the street. "Hey, do you mind if we just walk around? I need to keep my muscles moving or I'm going to seize up. It sucks when that happens." Without really waiting for much of an answer the knight sorta walked a few paces before starting to answer Aster's question.
"Purification takes someone with a good punch of power. Prince or princess from what I gathered from Cosmos, because they're the only ones who not only have enough power but can control it so that they don't just destroy your starseed. Kinda like how I could corrupt people as a general but it was damn tricky but the General-King? It was like breathing for him." Thinking about it some more, remembering her own experience, it was just all a little fuzzy because Castor was involved as well as Cosmos. Hers was also pretty voluntary.
"I think what generally happens is almost the same as corruption only it's like...overwhelming the bad with good instead. Cleaning it out. Like if you have soda in a cup and start filling it with water the soda dilutes and eventually is displaced?" It was the best metaphor she had, hands spreading a bit helplessly. "So you need to buddy up to a prince or princess if you want to start doing this."

Aster took another hit from the piece and followed along the Knight with great interest, nodding along to Lina's analogy of purification. But as for how purification was done...a Princess or a Prince? Where was she going to find one of those? She didn't live in England! Or wait - could she mean a Senshi Royalty? It was like she had just got hit by a bus full of logic! Of course she met Senshi Royalty! And she has met a Senshi prince or princess or two!
"I do know one Prince, but he and his brother were kind of pricks," she shrugged, recalling them from the Surrounding. There was another Princess he had met around then too. "I know there is a Princess of that Surrounding place with the pretty green hair. And then there was that Princess in the the meeting back there. I could hit up any of them."
She thought for another moment. "If there's a certain ranking or whatever in the Negaverse that comes with the ability to corrupt others, then they'd be the best place to start purifying, right? n** it in the butt?" She got the idiom wrong, but it sort of worked. Sort of.

Lina started walking around the perimeter of the building where the meeting was taking place, staying away from anyplace that she might be able to overhear what was going on inside. The knight had zero interest in the collective at this point but nearly tripped over her own feet when Aster mentioned Castor and Pollux. The bluenette couldn't help but mentally agree that his brother was the Lord of all Pricks but Castor? He wasn't...well okay he could be ********. Why was she doing this now? Her shitty relationship status was not really something that was going to be spotlighted tonight, no siree.
"Prince p***k and his brother are out of town anyway. Honestly I'd say your best bet is Chronos, Cosmos, though that Princess Polaris looked like she knew what she was doing? Dunno, you'd have to talk to them about it." Hands near her waist it was another one of those random times she wondered why none of their outfits had pockets. Pockets were amazing and when you were feeling self-conscious you could shove your hands in them to look sorta cute! Plus, you know, they held things. There was that.
Talking about the Negaverse structure was easy. "Yeah generals can corrupt anyone but the only one that can corrupt an awakened senshi or anything like that are the top-tier General Kings and Queens. You get a youma any other way if you try to corrupt at a lower rank or take on something too big and it could possibly kill you too if you're too weak." Chaos was all kinds of backfiring fun that way! "I'm working on trying to convince several of them that they should just join me but..." Shoulders shrugged.
"I almost guarantee it'll have to be forced. They just can't make the decision themselves, they're being controlled and were brainwashed."

"If it has to be forced then it has to be forced," Aster shrugged. Normally she'd be adamantly against forcing anything upon anyone - she strongly believed in universal rights. But the way she saw it - and the way that Lina Knight had been describing it - they already lost their rights; their right to so much as think with a free will. Of anything, forcing purification would be the right thing to do. "I should probably head back into that meeting. Its a ******** headache, but someone's gotta be there to yell at those bitches when they're wrong. Right man?"
"You coming back in?" she offered before she turned to head back.
