I love the idea of the Bard's College, but it just seems like a bunch of fetch quests. What do you think about it?

I just hate it. Honestly. Their all like "Oh, in order for you to become a student in the bard's collage, you need to get a book about King Olaf!"

But they don't mention that you have to fight off King Olaf himself. Er, whats left of him anyways.

-.-

They could have just said that your going into some old a** tomb to find a book that is half ruined, and fight off our old king. No biggy wink

So ya. I hate that quest.

And afterward when you help with festible, the torch that one dude carries to set the dummy on fire sticks in his hands. Forever.

He takes his job very seriously.

And as an answer to the original post, I never really gave it much attention.
Stopped doing their quests after retrieving the verse.

I think it would have been much better if they had made it like the House of Ballads in Reckoning.

I really need to get a hold of that game, I've heard a lot of praise.

I love it. It reminds me of a bunch of great RPGs, but also has a unique quality all its own.

That would be cool. Play a chosen instrument for experience and gold.

Honestly for gold yes but the only way I see it could gain experience is if you could beat somone with a lute or flute....

I never put much effort into the Bard's college. I did a few quests and decided it was bunk and continued on with my other guilds. The Bard's college isn't necessarily a waste, but I don't find it as interesting as other guilds. It would be better if you could actually hear yourself singing to others or play an instrument, but you can't do that.

Maybe not experience so much as an increase in skill level, which can earn you more gold. Then again, I doubt Bethesda would add a instrument skill tree, lol.

I hated it because I loved it so much, well the idea of it and then it was like 3 missions and the items were stuck in my inventory for the rest of the time I played it.
Plus I thought you would actually become a bard, like be able to play an instrument or something....it sucked o.o

This is hilarious! XD I'm with everybody else, I started this quest and after one or two "fetch me this" requests, I quit. rofl I really want to get back into it. There's got to be something rewarding at the end...right? Do you become leader of the bards' guild? LOLOLOLOL Okay, this may be my weekend entertainment.
