It might have been odd to any passer by to see two reapers surveying a wall of the reaper dorms. It might have been even odder to see them start to run up the wall, trying to grab the ledges of the gothic manor. One of them wasn’t even trying to grab the ledges though, no. Hel ran up the wall and then kicked off of it, flying through the air with her arms flailing wildly like a run away windmill. The ghoul rolled into a landing as she hit the grass and kneeled, brushing some grass off of her shoulders as she looked back at Shun. “… Totally meant to do that.” She replied. Blade Kuroda Blade should post first! : D

Shun was watching off to the side, raising an eyebrow as Hel launched herself away from the wall rather than up it.
"Of course you did," he said flatly, "Remember to propel yourself up. Not back. You won't be able to grab the ledge if you kick away from the wall."
Not in this case at least. But there wasn't a building right next to the reaper one to perform that sort of maneuver anyway. But then, as if to demonstrate, he ran on up the wall a few steps and pushed himself up to grab one of the ledges of the building. He hung there for a few moments, then dropped himself back down.
It wasn't time to be going past that point just yet.

Yin had been casually jogging around the campus, enjoying the simplicity that training offered. As he passed by the reaper dorms, something caught his eye. He watched as someone ran up the wall and then did...some sort of rolling maneuver to land safely. As he got a bit closer he recognized the duality that was Lady Hel and it was impossible to run past as the boil who was with her, one he recognized from around the school, began running up the wall as well.
This boil caught himself on the wall, supporting himself for a long enough period that it was obviously on purpose before he dropped to the ground again. And really, that was all that Yin needed to see. Something interesting was going on, some different style of training perhaps, and he wanted in on it. "Greetings," he said casually as he jogged up, "It is a fine day for training is it not La--friend." he cut himself off, hopefully in time for Lady Hel to not pick up what he had been about to say.

Hel brushed the grass off of her knees, standing and moving back over to Shun with a sheepish grin. She placed her hands on her hips as she watched Shun run up the wall and then grab onto the ledge, hanging onto it for a few moments before letting go. “Aye, aye…I got ya!” Hel pushed her tunic sleeves up and clapped her hands together to get them ready, until a new voice caught her attention.
Blinking, she turned her head towards Yin. “…Oh! Good morning, friend!” She greeted, and luckily for the were-mantis, she was none the wiser to his near slip up. “Ya, a very good day for training!” Hel made a gesture at Shun. “Yin, this is my brother in arms, Shun, and Shun, this is a friend and fellow warrior, Yin!”

Hearing another voice in the vicinity, Shun turned to see the weremantis of the school. He had seen him around here and there, but never really spoke with him. Looking towards Yin while Hel introduced them, he just bowed lightly and quietly.
There might have also been a somewhat confused 'scree' from somewhere nearby due to a certain black falcon of the same name being in the area.
"Any day is good for training really," he commented. In his years, he hadn't really run into a 'bad day' so to speak.

Shun was it? He returned his bow, right fist against his left palm, more acknowledgement than an actual sign of respect for someone he did not know. "Greetings Shun." What was truly exciting was that both of these individuals seemed to speak his language. "You are correct, every day is good." He smiled a bit, revealing razor sharp teeth at the mere thought of training.
"May I be so bold as to ask what you were doing?" Apparently running up walls, but it was not something that he was accustomed to seeing. "Is it for fun or are you training for something?" His curiosity was certainly getting the better of him, and he was eyeing the wall, judging the distance to the top now that he was close to it.

Hel felt so proud. Shun was socializing. Not only that, but he seemed to react favorably to Yin as well and vice versa. The ghoul blinked, looking up at the sky as something ‘caw’ed down at them.
Shaking her head a bit, Hel returned her attention to the matter at hand, grinning a bit at Yin. “We are training!” The reaper announced. “Parkour to be exact!” Yeah, this was fun in a sense, but it was very much for training. “If you have not heard of it, ask him.” Hel jabbed a thumb at Shun. “He explains is very well…now…” Hel spat at her hands and rubbed them together, turning back to the wall. Hel then tensed and took off towards it, running up it with the intent to actually catch the ledge this time.
She scaled up, and her fingers were outstretched to grab the ledge, but she fell a bit short, and landed back on the ground on her feet. She turned back to look at Shun and shrugged. “Well…at least I did not wind mill this time, right?”

"It is a type of movement, used to get around obstacles more easily," Shun explained simply while watching Hel reattempt. Indeed, she did better this time around. Without a word, he went on to demonstrate to her once more, making it up to the ledge as he did last time. Dropping back down, he turned back to the other two, pausing as he heard another avian shriek above.
Ah. His Falcons were flying about overhead. Shaking his head, he looked back to Yin.
"In this case, I'm helping her scale walls such as this."

Parkour? It was nothing that he had ever heard of, so he looked expectantly at Shun for a moment before he noticed Lady Hel...spitting on herself? She seemed to be doing it in preparation, and he watched as she ran. It was unusual to see someone in running in such a manner, and he was almost willing her to make it before she fell.
So this was to maneuver around obstacles? Then it certainly would have been helpful for the obstacle courses that the War horsemen had had. He watched as the reaper took off, watching him scale the ledge before glancing up at the shrieks. That sound might have been rather disconcerting for most bugs, though to a mantis even a bird could potentially become prey. For one to be so vocal was still worthy of attention though.
So the object is to...gain enough speed to make it high enough before you fall then? Perhaps? He was not entirely sure, but he had watched how they had run and he was ready to try it himself. He took off at a run at it, making it a few steps up the wall but not nearly close enough to grab on before he was falling, turning it into a roll instinctively. "You make it look much easier than it is," he informed them as he returned, dusting himself off. He glanced over at Shun speculatively "Would you be willing to take on another student?"

Hel watched as Shun demonstrated for her again and nodded. She rubbed her hands together again and took another running starting, pumping her legs harder this time as she ran up the wall. She stretched her arms out as far as she could, and managed to snag the ledge. “Ah!” One of her hands slipped though, and she ended up dangling with one hand. “Bah…” She swung herself back around and reclaimed the ledge with both hands. “…Well…getting there, ya!” Hel kept dangling though, and stared down at Yin as he tried as well, only to fall short.
“Oh…you can do it, friend!” She encouraged, but then snorted as Yin asked if Shun would teach him. “Hey, HEY. He was my teacher first!” She shouted, and then laughed. “Oi, Shun! You can teach me how to move down a ledge too, right?” That being said, Hel started to move across the ledge with her hands.

"Just drop down. Roll if you have to," Shun explained to Hel before watching Yin make an attempt. It wasn't too bad for a first shot.
"I can teach whoever, but I really am not the best for teaching these things. I really can only show examples with maybe a tip here or there," he explained, "It isn't just about climbing though. A great deal of balance is needed as well. But, you at least seem to know how to fall already."
Going off the way he rolled at least.

"Oh I did not mean to intrude," Yin replied, feeling almost ashamed at the suggestion. He did not mean to steal anyone's teacher after all, and not Lady Hel's to be certain. Shun on the other hand seemed to feel like it would not be that big of a deal to teach him as well, or at least show him a few things.
"Yes, learning to fall was something I learned as a scareling," he confirmed, not even fully remembering the lessons they had been so long ago. But what the boil was saying had caught his attention. Balance? This had not seemed highly based on balance, and while Yin certainly trained in balance with his tai chi there were possibly other forms that might work a bit better in various situations. "How else would you use parkour if not to climb the wall?" he queried. "Do you think...could you show me what you mean?"

Hel sidled down the wall a bit more, before she sidled back down towards Shun and Yin, and it was then that she let herself drop.
She landed neatly on her feet, rolling her shoulders and clapping her hands a bit. “Oh, I am just kidding you, friend. Shun has good skills to impart…I think more should take it up.” She grinned a bit. “Everyone needs to be the best they can be!” Hel looked over at Yin now, throwing her hands into the air. “Parkour can be use to climb anything!” She informed excitedly.
“It is like flying across the ground without wings.” That’s what really drew Hel to it, honestly.

Shun glanced to Hel briefly at her explanation, then took a step back, motioning to Yin to follow him. He moved more towards the back of the building where the Reaper gardens were. Then, without warning, he broke off into a sprint and climbed up onto the brick wall that surrounded that area. Once on there, he turned and began to move quickly along the top of the wall, coming up towards the gap for the gateway. He didn't slow down as he jumped across. Granted, he nearly slipped, not entirely judging his landing correctly.
Hissing out a curse, he then jumped down from the wall, rolling as he landed.
"Is that example enough?"

Yin nodded at Lady Hel, tentatively giving her an answering grin. It did sound appealing when put that way, and there was no telling how long it would take for him to get wings. Well, when not a minipet. Learning to "fly" before then could be both fun and informative."You make it seem well worth the effor," he informed her before his attention was grabbed by Shun and he followed him around the building.
Yin started to jog after him, thinking that he was still following, before he saw the reaper just...head up a wall and then across it. Belatedly realizing this was his demonstration he slowed, watched the jump. He nodded to Shun, eyeing the wall to judge the distance. He took a deep breath, steadying himself, and then took a run at it. Actually getting onto the wall was a bit awkward, and he was forced to pause for a moment once he got to the top to regain his balance, not nearly as smooth as Shun had been. Thankfully the height did not bother him, and he took off at a sprint toward the gap, trying to judge where Shun had jumped from, trying to copy his form.
He managed to make it across, but the landing was just awkward, and the best way to avoid injury was to roll off of it, landing in a crouch on the grass. Certainly not perfect, but not entirely bad either, at least, he hoped it was not. "So then, you do things like this anywhere? To push yourself?"
