Swirls and music notes clouded the pink mare's vision as she ran. The two foal's blankets flashing through her mind along with Damir's betrayal. She ran until she thought her legs would give, then kept running. The exertion of her body only barely easing her heavy mind. Cecelia finally slowed after what seemed like days and days of running, but had only been about half a day of running. Stopping in a small clearing with an apple tree in the center, she shook her mane, clearing her horns of any fly-away strands that liked to get lodged there. Maybe she should have gone to her mother...surely her mother would understand? Maybe not... The mare sighed sadly before going to lay in the cool grass under the tree. It had been morning when she left, now the afternoon sun was lowering. There was still some time before sunset, so Cece enjoyed the coolness of the ground under the tree after her hard run.

Cecelia jumped to her hoofs as she hears a male voice. She didn't know there was anybody there. The trunk of the tree was quite large which might have been why. Backing up, she squinted her eyes at the tree and cocked her head. A bit of her old light attitude coming back. "Did this tree just talk?" She asked herself aloud. Walking around the trunk, she noticed a purple and white stallion laying in the shade of the tree. "Oh, I'm sorry sir. I was not aware that anyone was here. I will leave you to your nap..." She said politely before turning to leave. His attractiveness caught her eye but she didn't even want to think about stallions after the day she'd had.

Cece cocked her head at the interesting stallion. "Well you are a male aren't you? So then you would be Sir Ka, if I were to add a title. You aren't a mare so I can't call you Ma'am." She giggled a bit, surprised the stallion could do as much. "I...am running." She said sadly. It's not like Cecelia had anything to hide, or should hide, this stranger seemed harmless. Who would call themselves 'a ka?' Unless that was his name..."Is your name Ka?" Making no moves to introduce herself, she glanced at the apple laying on the ground. "Did you get hit on the head?"

Staring at the apple for a moment, Cecelia bent down and ate it. "Or it could have been trying to get your attention? Did you introduce yourself to it? It might not have liked a stranger sleeping under its bows." She laughed, this Ka was funny and had a different way of looking at things. "Do you normally have problems with trees throwing their fruit at you?"

Cecelia looked away shyly, he was so charming. "I...I didn't mean to bother you, Ka. I was just...out for a run." Her voice was quiet again as her thoughts returned to...no, she reminded herself, I'm not going to think about...him. With a sigh, she looked up at the tree's limbs swaying in the slight breeze.

A distraction, yes, a distraction was what this stallion provided and Cecelia jumped at the offers. "Swimming is good, though food is good too...I've never really interacted much with large herds. My chosen is back home where we stay with another human who lost one of her bonds here recently..." She said sadly, thinking of the beautiful Daria whom she had only gotten to meet once. "I was skeptical at first about humans until I met Thalanir, then everything just seemed to make sense...if that makes any sense at all.." The poor mare was rambling now, she hoped the stallion wouldn't mind.

"Yes, Thal is very helpful. He takes part of the burden away." Cecelia giggled when he crossed his eyes. "That sounds nice to me." She said as she crossed her own eyes back at him before shaking her head as it made her somewhat dizzy.

So he had finally caught on that he never got her name, this made her smile as she followed him. "My name is Cecelia." She said as she followed him into the water. It was just warm enough to be comfortable, and cool enough to soothe them from the heat of the day. "So you are visiting a friend, Ka?"
