 It had been a long and exhausting day with little results. His stomach letting him know quite angrily of what it sorely needed. Light blue eyes sighed happily as the sun slowly sunk into the earth. This. This was his favourite time. The night was always a calming place for him to unwind and with luck he would spot a sleepy prey. Survival of the fittest and all, it wasn't that he was mindlessly killing as he had known others to do.
With one last look over the cliff he currently overlooked Nuru turned around and sped off into the darkness just running for the joy of it. Lately he found life boring and tiringly hard to survive. Running was his outlet and if he ran fast enough things blurred together as if he were in a dark yet shiny tunnel of supernaturally greatness. Atleast in his mind.

 Haracha wasn't sure what had brought her out into the open like this, but it felt great. Her stomach was full and fat, thanks to the scrap of a meal she'd managed to take down. She had it pulled into the lowest branch of the tree she now resided in, with her own form lying on the upper branch. Just like someone try to take this from her up here!
Still, she had a lot of extra meat. What if a lion showed up to steal it from her? That wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that she was stuffed and they were a violent breed. No, she would need to ditch the evidence. But how...?
"Hey, you!" There! Perfect. That bright shape in the darkness couldn't possibly be a lion, which meant it was safe to pass on what was left of her kill. "Surprise! You've won the prize!" With a decisive kick, Haracha knocked the meat from the tree onto the ground.

He had been lost in thought when at the last second he noted the leopardess who had leapt out infront of him. He skidded to a stop with widen eyes as he took in her words. "Wha-" In horror he watched as a dead body was flung at him with her paw and he dodged at the last second. "Th-thank you." The words came out jerky surprise. No one had shared a kill with him before Nuru was an abject loner. He stayed froze for a moment unsure what to do next and then his stomach made itself known. Loudly. He leaned forward to nibble on a scrap of meat and sighed greatfully as his once empty stomach began to fill up.
Once he had eaten enough to keep his body happy with him Nuru looked up to take the kind stranger. "That was delicious." He awkwardly spoke not knowing what to say and made himself ask. "You sure you don't want the rest?" He began to clean off his tiny front paws as they had somehow had gotten blood all over them.

Haracha sat before the cheetah, taking in his figure. Cheetahs by nature were a gangly breed, but this one looked particularly scrawny. He couldn't have been eating well, so she could only see good things coming her way since she shared her meal with him.
She stayed quiet while he ate, too afraid that when she spoke it would spook him. Only when he had finished and started talking did she respond. "If I'd wanted it, I wouldn't have given it to you." She stated point blank. It wasn't that she was unkind, not at all, Haracha just didn't see the point in sugar coating words. "What were you doing running around on an empty stomach, anyway? What would have happened if you had fainted from exhaustion?"

"Okay," He blinked while tilting his head and blushed at the next words. "It just seemed like the right thing to do." He cleared his throat and raised a paw in a gesture that indicated he wanted to shake paws. " I humbly thank you for the food in which you have shared. I am Nuru'Nox it is nice to meet you for how ever long we are acquainted. " He took in the females markings on her fur and found himself liking her stripes best as he continued to talk. "I tend to go with things of the moment and... as silly as it is to some, I don't think of what could happen in future."
A faint cracking noise broke the silence that had surrounded them and his ears twitched trying to find where it was coming from as well as what was causing it. Both felines were in an area that held a large amount of trees and rocks.

Idiots shouldn't be running around on their own, she concluded. It seemed like a fair judgement call, considering that those who were stupid enough to be hungry should at least have company. Maybe that was her job? It seemed kind of lame; putting an end to hunger caused by stupidity across the world.
She gave him an odd look before holding her paw up to his and giving it a shake. "Don't mention it; really, don't." Haracha sat with her hip cocked to the side, her eyes taking in his splotchy pattern. "There's nobility in that; the thinking of the present thing. Seems pretty immature to me, but I can respect it." She shrugged. "And for what it's worth, my name is Haracha."
Her eyebrows knit together as she looked around. What was that sound? "Did you hear that?" She murmured.

He raised his eyebrows at the backhanded compliment not knowing how he should respond so... he didn't. "Right, Haracha. Nice name." He paused awkwardly and shifted his body for a moment. "I usually don't stay in one area for long... so what are you up too?" Small talk was not really his thing but sometime it was necessary especially if it envolved being around another that helped him survive. It wasn't like he couldn't find food for himself, far from it, she just made it easier for him. Seeing water he went to it and washed off the rest of what clung to his fur. "Can't say I've been around this place before nor do I tend to spend the rest of the night here. The best time for a run is during the night." Cleaning himself was calming. He spent most of the day sleeping rather than exploring that is when he could or wasn't driven out by other animals.

Haracha turned her head to the side to scope out the area, not too sure she liked being so exposed this late in the evening. While she was a formidable opponent, she wasn't looking to tangle with a lion any time soon.
"A traveller, huh? Sounds nice." She shifted her gaze back to him. "I'm just following my mistress' orders in seducing her step-nephew so she can steal the cubs and I can buy my freedom." Haracha grinned. "Or maybe I'm just a traveller too." Even though she told the truth, she doubted he would believe her. Hell, she wouldn't believe HIM if he had said it. It just sounded so...callous when spoken out loud. "Running seems like a waste of energy if you're not chasing prey. I can't imagine why you would want to do it for sport."

"Yup~" He 'pop'ed out the letter p. "I mostly live in the rogue lands though I have been to other prides on occasion, but not for a long stay. Oh-" His eyes widened at the tale. "So you are a slave then?" He had met one a very long time ago and the thought of being without freedom... left him feeling rather sad. "Oh." He was unsure of the situation and left not knowing which story was true or fantasy. "Must be my cheetah blood, it feels sometimes like i'm flying above the ground. I guess that is why I enjoy running without purpose. It is like a sense of freedom for me." He sent Haracha a cheery smile and looked around as well. He was getting antsy again and wanting to run. It was like the unknown was calling him to explore the unexplored. " Thank you for sharing your meal with me-" He bowed his head in a somewhat gentlemanly gesture. "-I think it is time for me to finish my running for the rest of the day." His front paws jittered. "Goodbye~!"

'Hardly!" She huffed, curling her petite mouth into a snarl. "I owe a debt, nothing more. I am hardly a slave." How dare he! Slaves were lowly, vile creatures that were to be pitied. There was no way she would bow down to that disgusting female and be her slave. She shook off the matter, determined never to speak of it again.
That cheetah blood of his would get him killed on day. Flying above the ground? How ridiculous. In response to his smile, she gave one of her own, obviously sarcastic. "That sounds just great! Maybe I should try running sometime." Ya right. "Whatever, skinny legs." She waved off his bow, content with looking at anything that wasn't him at the moment. "Go run off into the sunset or whatever."
With languid grace, she climbed back into her tree. "Just take better care of yourself, alright? You won't get many free meals in this world."

Nuru paused mid-way from leaving and felt his fur stick up at the feral tone coming from the leopardess. Whoa. Some felines just need to chillax a bit... life was just too short. "Yeah." He raised an eyebrow at her tone and childish name calling. Whatever she wasn't his problem. "Thanks?" He didn't know what to think of her last parting shot so he just shrugged it off and ran away to explore some more.
