Hi guys. o: My living room looks like this, this, this, and this. In other words, preeetty plain. I was planning on going shopping later to buy some stuff to make the place look a little more spiffy. Ideas? o: I wanna get a square rug or something to go on the tile, and a decoration to go on the other side of the fire place.
I feel like my living room is really gray/white/brown based, and then when you look up, you see my overbearing yellow chandelier. e.e Is there a way to make the two work together?

I think your house is pretty~ Mine is on the outside, it's stone and pretty and when you get inside it looks like a medieval dungeon. emotion_awesome

Maybe a centerpiece will make it more lively? Or a splash of red above the windows using paintings or roses? You can even use books as decoration to complement whatever color you want to use. heart

Eternal Rebellion Maybe a centerpiece will make it more lively? Or a splash of red above the windows using paintings or roses? You can even use books as decoration to complement whatever color you want to use. heart
And for the splash of red, I could definitely cut some roses out of my backyard and get them preserved. Thanks for the suggestions!

Annnd.... maybe different colored blinds?
Your living room is definitely more spiffy than mine by 500943850398450%.
I've always wanted a chandelier, but made out of preserved driftwood.

A medieval dungeon sounds....scary. O.oYeah, it's my step-dad's house. The walls are wood and the furniture is dark. The floor is brown and has scratches and chipped paint. We have two axes in the living room under the yoga mats.
It's a mess and we have so many animals that we can't do much about it.
