Uzumaki Advancement Trials Part 3 [Combat Trial] (Currently OPEN) The ninja's ability to fight and the ability to plan are obscenely important in the world we find ourselves in. This trial will test both.
Each finalist will be pit against each other, first in a round-robin style set-up to form a rank, then a tournament style set-up to determine the winner. Lots have been cast to determine the order in which each person will be fighting and who will be fighting at what times.
Round one of the round robin format are:
Tsubasa vs Kojin
Tsuyomaru vs Tamaki
Round two of the round robin format are:
Tsuyomaru vs Kojin
Tamaki vs Tsubasa
Round three of the round robin format are:
Tsuyomaru vs Tsubasa
Tamaki vs Kojin
This trial starts Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Noon Eastern Standard Time.
Each participant is autotravelled to this thread at the start of the matches. Due to the nature of the trial only one fight will be held at a time, first up will be Tsubasa vs Kojin.
NOTE: REMEMBER YOUR CHARACTER WILL HAVE AT LEAST 4 FIGHTS, YOU WILL NEED TO ROLEPLAY THEM ACCORDINGLY (IE: FATIGUE ONCE THEY HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL THEIR STAMINA.)

Tsubasa walked out onto the battlefield, going through his mental checklist: Got fresh pair of training weights from bedroom-check. Restocked tools and jerky-check. Secured new suit-check. On his way to the exam battleground, Tsubasa was stopped by a courier-nin with a package and note from his sister, the note read: Tsubasa, sorry I didn't get this finished in time for the start of your exams, but I hope you can still use it. The modifications you asked for have been applied; weather goggles, streamlined fur, and that special one you asked for, just pull the red thread. Good Luck Tsubasa, Love Miko
Tsubasa stopped walking and looked around, trying to find Kojin, so he shouted out for him. Kojin come out, we need to talk!

Noone could say Kojin wasn't ever wary. He was sitting, and the calling Tsubasa caught him off-guard a bit. "Certainly a valid tactic, to use tricks. But I'll hear him out..." kojin thought. Nothing much too interesting had happened while he was en-route here besides people talking about the trials, which made him frown a bit due to several rumors that had spread, some people had made bets, although playful ones, on who would come out on top. He made the hand signs silently, "Water release: Water Clone jutsu." he whispered as he simply made a clone of himself. He nodded to his double as he crossed his arms and leaned, if it 'was' a trick, he wouldn't be caught in the trap. If not, he'd hear what they'd have to say.
To Tsubasa, Kojin just came about from the corner, and strode over at a casual pace, one hand on his naginata, the other in his pocket, "Yes, Tsubasa? Some pre-battle jitters or requests?" he asked as he stopped a few feet away. He had his normal, rather dull face with his natural frown.

I have a request to ask of you Kojin. I doubt Tsuyomaru got to speak with you about this, but we had decided that we should withdraw from our match so to save time and energy. I am now extending this offer to you as he will more than likely extend as well. So what do you say, shall we make a truce for this round, so to conserve our energy for other opponents?

The Kojin doppelganger made a nod... "Alright, if that's what you want. It does make this stage of the trial a lot shorter, in some ways." he gave shrugging a bit, "Not much of a show, are we?" he smiled some, "I suppose this is how it is with us Uzumaki." he gave with a chuckle, before the clone dissolved into water.

As Kojin's clone evaporated, Tsubasa gave a small look of surprise. I was wondering why it was a bit humid as I got near you. Looking around the arena Tsubasa tried to get the attention of the examiners, Hey, we're not fighting this one, you might as well move on to the next participants!

Tamaki strolled towards the battlefield for the next part of the exam. He was a little anxious, but still confident about his abilities. He had really started to finally develop as a ninja capable of defending himself in dangerous situations. Of course to Tamaki, this was far more a personal matter of defending himself against his sister, and those who threaten the village. He knew his sister wasn't evil, but in his mind she was just as big an enemy.
Tamaki continued to walk towards the field, repositioning his boomerang holster, and making sure he had all of his kunai and skuriken. His heart raced as each step he took led him closer to the next round.

Will you be there... Tsuyomaru slowly made his way to the battlefield to face his clansmen, however as soon as he made it far enough for Tamaki to hear him he stopped. "Tamaki, it is as Tsubasa said, he and I have decided not to fight the first time, I wish to extend that offer to you as well, I understand that this way of thinking could derail the trials but I can hardly bring myself to fight any of my clansmen, let alone multiple and multiple times. I was brought up to love and defend. I will fight once the preliminaries are over but not until after. So what do you say? A draw for us as well?"
Tsuyomaru kept his defensive stance in the case that Tamaki would not have any of Tsuyomaru's "shenanigans."

Tamaki stopped and looking over Tsuyomaru for a moment. He wasn't entirely sure whether or not Tsuyomaru was being serious or not, but he had heard that the other two had called it a draw. Tamaki stood for a moment and pondered his options. Truthfully, Tamaki was completely for saving their strength for the later rounds. It was tactically more intelligent, especially if they were all willing to cooperate, and agree to the situation. On the other hand, Tamaki couldn't help but wonder if Tsuyomaru was trying to pull a fast one on Tamaki, and just have him surender so he, Tsuyomaru, would be the finalist in the first round.
Tamaki shrugged and took a step towards Tsuyomaru. "Alright, I agree to the terms. But just keep in mind, this is a test to see which of us are ready to go into the world as elite ninja. Through this test we have to fight our friends, which is sometimes much harder than fighting our enemies."
Tamaki stood silent. He felt good sounding out what he had just said. He didn't normally say things like that, so it even surprised him. After a few seconds of letting the wisom seep in, he felt pretty good about himself. Tamaki waited for Tsuyomaru to announce to the judges that they were both to call a draw.

Tsubasa hopped up from the sidelines of the battlefield and walked over towards the center of the battlefield where Tamaki was standing after the conclusion of his "fight." Hey squadbro, I know that things between us haven't started off too well, so I would like to apologize for my previous rashness. There's no need for us to fight now and waste precious energy, so how about we head back to the waiting area and relax for a bit? Tsubasa stopped several feet short of Tamaki, rushing his chakra to his feet in case he needed to back off, just in case Tamaki still harbored ill feelings for Tsubasa's past judgements.

Tamaki looked over towards Tsubasa, and back towards the crowd. "They sure won't like it, and it kinda feels like we're cheating the system, but I guess I'll agree to call a draw." Tamaki shifted, and turned towards the rest area. "And don't worry about it man, no matter what happens, we're clansmen forever...that is unless you betray the village and leave to become a rogue ninja, in which case we wouldn't be cool, and I would have to kill you."
Tamaki waited a second and turned back around to Tsubasa. He had a cracked grin indicating a joke, and gave a light salute towards his fellow clansmen. Tamaki then walked towards the rest area, once again signaling the judges that the match was a draw.

Kojin didn't bother to hide at first or do much of anything else. He leaned on his naginata somewhat lazily as he thought of what the preliminary battles would be like, however, at the current this was both Tsuyomaru, and apparently, according to Tsubasa he had a plan to get through this for the main event without using much energy. So he just stood and waited for Tsuyomaru, "Going to make the same deal here, Tsuyomaru?" he asked upon seeing his Cousin.
