Kettil was taking the odd moment of quiet time outside of his dorm room by hanging out in the gardens near the Reaper Dorms. For now Endzela seemed content to just hop about at his bench and around on his lap instead of flying around also enjoying the odd moment of quiet where her usually social Reaper was chattering at everyone that a sentient thought in their head.
Yet he wasn't there with nothing to do on his hands! Today he had a selection of beads and leather string and he seemed to be in the process of making some jewelry - that is when Endzela didn't suddenly decide to pause on his lap and stare at him and n** at his nose before giggling quietly and hobbling off to n** at a bit of nearby plant life.
The boil's only response was to laugh with amusement before he took up his task once more.

Since Biskoto had finished shedding, and was no longer tired, grumpy, and irritable, she had wanted to go outside; spending too much time indoors was stifling for her, and she missed slithering through the tall grass, or curling up in the shade of a rock for a quick afternoon nap. Thus, since early morning, Thanatos had gone for a walk with his familiar, her excited hisses making him chuckle as they took a casual stroll - well, Biskoto took a casual slither - around the school.
During the stroll, Biskoto had managed to find and devour a rather plumb miced tea, which had put her in a better mood - even if it meant having to bother Thanatos to carry her back; she didn't like to move after a meal.
As they neared the dorms, however, she caught a glimpse of two familiar figures in the distance, and had convinced the reaper to stray off the path towards them instead. When they got closer, she waved at them with her tail from her position on Thanatos' shoulder, "Hiiiiiii Endzela! Kettil!"
The reaper calling her was less vocal, offering the two a nod of his head as greeting.

Kettil was pulling some of the beads onto some bits of leather he had braided when suddenly there was a familiar hissing voice which made him look up with a bright smile, "It's you again~," Kettil cried out mostly toward Biskoto before his eyes pointed toward the Reaper she was using as transport with a bit of a grin, "See you decided to keep your reaper on hand today?" It was a good natured tease.
The owl stopped what she was doing when she heard Biskoto's voice as her wings opened up as if to make sure the Snake saw her, "Bissie~," she cried out cheerfully. She had enjoyed her fellow familiar's company when they had met many weeks ago, "How are you?! Hello to you as well~," she directed the 'hello' mostly toward the Reaper.
Needless to say they were pretty excited to see the pair.

"Sometimes I wonder who the familiar in the relationship really is," Thanatos chuckled, giving Kettil a look before glancing briefly at Endzela; sometimes, familiars really can be a handful, and he wondered if Kettil knew what that felt like... Apart from False and Kettil, he had yet to meet another reaper with a familiar, even if he had heard of a few of them.
"It had been surprisingly uneventful," He chuckled, carefully sitting down on the grass beside Kettil before getting Biskoto off his shoulder, "I thought that there was always something going on in this school... Although Biskoto did recently went through her shedd-"
"Ssssshedding," The familiar finished his sentence for him, hissing happily as she slithered her way up to the owl, giving her a nuzzle, "It'sss nice to ssssee you again, darling! Sssshedding isss a necessssssity, but ssssuch a botherssssome one, essspecially for a ssssnake my ssssize!" She, for one, was glad that it was over and done with.

"I like to think we switch turns on some days, at least Endzela makes sure I don' make too much of a fool of m'self," he laughed as he just refocused himself on his task though his ear was still open to Thanatos and his familiar, willing to chitchat with them idly during the downtime granted to them.
Kettil let out a small chuckle, "I am sure a lot of interesting things are happenin' to other people, just right now is our downtime," he grinned though he sounded dreadfully bored.
"And look at you! Beautiful as ever with shining scales," Endzela cooed as she even leaned down and nestled her head against Biskoto quite happily, "you are a glorious reptile to behind at your size, so do not worry!"

Thanatos chuckled along, even though on some days, it felt like he was the one keeping Biskoto from doing something silly... Like going along with Sharpie's bright idea of swallowing soap water in an attempt to recreate the effect of hiccuping up bubbles. At least Endzela seemed like a sensible sort of owl who wouldn't drag Biskoto into some harebrained adventure.
For a while, he was content to just watch the familiar interact, but since Kettil seemed to be doing something, he decided to watch the reaper instead. To him, Kettil seemed to be making some sort of a charm or accessory, but he could be wrong, "And is this what you usually do doing your downtime?"
Biskoto looked almost bashful at the compliments, hissing softly in joy as she gently coiled her tail around the other familiar in a sort of hug, "Oh, thank you, darling... You're too kind!" She did rather enjoy being so huge, even if it was inconvenient at times, "You look well! Gorgeoussss assss alwaysss!" Even if she couldn't exactly see her feathers, she was sure that her friend was the prettiest owl.

Kettil smiled a bit at the question and gave a small nod, "Keeps my hands busy otherwise I get into all sorts of mischief," he paused a moment to at least raise a hand and waggle his fingers before returning it back to the project at hand before it could potentially fall, "besides it is no fun getting into trouble all by my lonesome," he proclaimed with a grin as he just carefully picked out a bead from a pile near his leg. "What do you do when you aren't doing anything in particular?" Kettil asked in a fit of simple curiosity.
Endzela let out a cheerful series of hoots in her own joy. Biskoto returned compliments very well and noting pleased her more, "How have you been? Dearest One?" She didn't seem alarmed when Biskoto hugged her it just goes to show how much the Owl trusted her fellow predator. "Has your Reaper been good to you?"
The boil gave a small snort, "They act like we abuse them or something," it showed that he over heard the conversation a bit.

"I'm sure that you have other ways to keep your hands busy and yourself out of trouble... Ah, let's just say that I have no particular preference where hobbies are concerned, although I do enjoy walks," Thanatos replied, his attention on the materials that Kettil was working with, "I assume that your familiar keeps you on a tight leash as well?" The comment was followed by a chuckle, indicating that it was a joke, seeing how the familiars seemed to be holding a similar conversation.
"I had been well enough! Sssshedding normally putssss me in an awful mood, but I alwayssss feel great after," Biskoto nodded, cuddling up against her friend, forked tongue flicking out of her mouth as she hissed in contentment, "Thanatossss had been patient. I would ssssay that yesss, he had been good. Had Kettil been treating you well?"
The reaper raised an eyebrow, "I wonder if they had forgotten that we're sitting right here, listening."

He paused what he was doing and then nodded, "Touché, I guess there are many things I could do to keep me out of trouble but this what I cared to do to keep me out of trouble," he returned with a small cheerful grin. At the mention of being kept on a tight leash he offered a laugh and a bit of a shrug, "I suppose in a way she does, she watches me to see how I screw up next and then offers advice after she had a good laugh."
Sometimes she gave advice before the screw up.
...Sometimes.
Endzela was busily cooing over Biskoto to notice the boils right now, "Oh that is good! I am glad you feel better," she said happily. Endzela looked over at Thanatos and Kettil before she answered, "He better be good to you or else~. Kettil has been good to me as always. Though he hasn't given me enough of my favorite treats."
Kettil snorted a bit, "Perhaps, maybe it is just their friendship or it is a Familiar thing?" When Endzela noted the lack of treat he let out a short sound, "I give ya plenty, Madam Owl."

"Oh? Biskoto prefers to give advice before something happens. It stresses her out to not say anything at all," Thanatos chuckled, reaching for one of the beads that Kettil was using for his handicraft. Rolling it between his thumb and index finger, he held it up to inspect it, "It ruins a bit of the entertainment at times."
If Biskoto had heard that, she ignored it, her full attention on her fellow familiar. At the mention of treats, she hissed, "What ssssssort of treatssss?" She never had treats, just meals that could last until her next meal. The concept of treats intrigued her though, as long as they were not of the minipet variety; those have much too much fur for the swallowing process to be pleasant.
"I wonder~" He replied with a grin, "Although the only other familiar I've ran into at the school behaved this way as well."

Kettil laughed a bit, "Maybe Endzela can learn a thing from your Biskoto," he grinned at Thanatos and let the other boil do as he pleased. Kettil was less than worried about losing beads, "It does ruin the fun, doesn't it? Endy doesn't like it if I tease people too much sometimes. It is one of the few times she gets a bit rowdy with me. Such a motherly thing."
Endzela cooed softly, "Small morsels of tasty meats, fine tidbits cut from prey," she explained cheerfully, "it might not be as thrilling as hunting it down and eating it but it is tasty!"
"And fattening~," Kettil said helpfully. Endzela retorted with a hissing sound and just focused again on Biskoto. Kettil just laughed and looked over at Thanatos, "I dunno, she is pretty friendly so that might make all the difference."

"Biskoto tends to stop me from teasing as well," Thanatos replied with an overly dramatic sigh, although he was still grinning away; he probably just intended for the familiar to hear him, "They have so many things in common... It's no wonder that they get along well with each other." He chuckled, putting the bead down where he found it, his gaze shifting back to rest on the owl and the snake.
"Ah! Ssssnakessss do not tasssste much of when they eat," Biskoto replied with a sage nod; that fact was probably why she never found the idea of snacking a little odd, "I have to sssswallow my prey whole. Taste doessssn't matter to me assss much asss filling up my sssstomach doesss." She shook her head at Kettil, and then nuzzled Endzela, "Predatory familiarssss sssuch as usss exercise a lot anyway!"
Too much to grow "fat".
"Perhaps," He laughed, "Or perhaps all familiars attend a class on how to best bother their reapers."

"Nothing like bein' mothered about by a familiar," Kettil chuckled as he started to put things away now. He was growing bored of his task, "They have a lot of things in common it seems and they are very fond of each other, makes me happy that Endy could make a good friend in a fellow familiar," he grinned happily maybe even a bit proudly.
Endzela listened sagely to Biskoto ignoring the fat comment from her Reaper entirely except for when Biskoto pointed out that the weight is lost through hunting she chimed in a soft, "Yes! See, never fat," she chimed as she lightly leaned and affectionately and gently 'preened' some of Biskoto's scales. Kettil snorted, "I wouldn't doubt that is where Endzela disappeared to when she goes out for a simple flight," he observed as he finished packing things away. "Endy probably gets top marks in the class!"

"Indeed... Biskoto was looking forward to meeting more familiars when we first arrived in this school. I believe that she was surprised that there weren't more familiars around - or at least, we hadn't met many," Thanatos chuckled, shaking his head, "It is good that they get along, as long as they stay out of trouble." Biskoto's last great familiar adventure was with False's Sharpie, and that didn't end well.
In fact, it ended up with soap water in Biskoto's mouth.
"And Biskoto is first runner-up, after her," He replied, eyeing the two familiars - who seemed to be pretty much ignoring their conversation, and busy with being in their own little world. The snake had never been preened by a bird before, but she appeared to be enjoying it, letting out a series of soft, happy-sounding hisses.
"It is, however, getting late, and we should be heading back," He continued, his gaze once again on Kettil. That sentence seemed to have caught the attention of his familiar, who had turned in his direction, looking as sorrowful as a snake possibly could.
"Already?"
