((Pre-minipets~))
Danny flopped on his papasan, getting comfortable without even asking him if it was okay. She propped her feet up on the edge of the bed, sliding her backpack around so she could pull out the singular notebook that she carried around.
One notebook. For every class. It was no wonder she had bad grades.
She really didn't want to do this assignment. It was a writing assignment, and not only was her chicken scratch handwriting horrible, she was also terrible with words. Things just didn't come out right on paper the way they did in her head. It probably wasn't good that she was choosing to do this with Roch of all people either. She probably should have picked someone like Sparrow or Taryn. Oh well.
"So can we just like ... no do it, and say we did?" That would fly well, right? Nothing like not doing your homework.

"Hell if I know," Roch said, lounging on the other end of the bed, staring at the piece of paper he'd managed to scrounge up. "I think I erased most of it," he said. "It's good enough. What was the question again?"
Then again he didn't have anything solid to put the paper on to write on... maybe his knee? He moved around, trying it out--nah, that wouldn't work, he wasn't a contortionist--

Danny had her book on her knees and was doing just that. "Stop moving!" she said. Every time Roch moving, the bed moved and Danny's comfortable lounging position was disrupted.
To emphasize her point, she threw a pillow at him.
... Or maybe she just didn't want to do her homework.

"I can't write like this," he complained, tossing the sheet of paper over his head and frowning. "I don't wanna use the desk. The desk sucks--I swear its actually alive," he said, glaring at the desk in question. "Okay, fine, what were the questions? We'll just fill them out on the jackin' sheet he sent us," he decided, pulling the sheet out of his pocket.
"Name," he read, "Roch Scythe. Bag received--I got no jackin' CLUE what her name was--hey, Danny, you know that short ghoul with the plaid vest in our class? Do you know her name?"

Name: Danny Fitz.
THIS HOMEWORK WAS THE EASIEST THING ON THE PLANET.
"Uhhhhh," Danny said looking up, her pencil erasure on her chin. Didn't she have a name that was short? It was like ... "Lily? Leo? Larry?" Those didn't sound right. "Something like that," she said, shrugging.
Danny's was easier to answer. She'd gotten her bag from Tro! Good ol' Tro. She wrote that in the second line.
Danny was already wiggling in her seat. "What stuff did I put in my bag ... something something something ... 3-5 ... something," she mumbled quietly. She was the type that read everything out loud whether she meant to or not. "Okay I put a candle and a maceball ... d'you remember the other thing?" Obviously Roch would know what was in her bag. Clearly.

"Didn't you steal my guitar picks?" Roch asked. He was looking at the sheet blankly. "Le... roy, I guess," he wrote down, even adding a question mark. "Um... I had a sucker, a guitar pick and a comb," he said. "She had a horse head on a stick, a piece of paper with writing on it, and a piece of plaid."
Then he blinked. They seriously wanted SENTENCES on this crap? That was retarded.

"Oh that's right. Picks." Danny scribbled that out. Sentences. Ughhh.Quote: Name: Danny Fitz Bag Received: Tro's What objects did you put in your bag? What does each mean to you? Please describe their significance with at least 3-5 sentences per object.Maceball: I play maceball and like it a lot. My favorite position is second base, but sometimes short stop is fun too! I like maceball. Candle: I'm a flame demon so ... like fire and stuff. I don't know it was just sitting in my room and has fiery stuff. Fire is really cool hot! Guitar Picks: I stole Roch's guitar picks. I play the guitar and he's my best friend in the whole world. So I put them in the tote These descriptions were really high quality. Danny wasn't a shakespeare, that was for sure. "Hey how much did you write?" she asked, glancing over at his paper.

Student Name Here! Roch Whose Bag Did I Recieve? Leroy's? I dunno, she's the short ghoul with the plaid vest. Never seen her before.
Q1: Booberry sucker-- I like food. I like candy. I won the school's eating competition once, against a grue. Guitar pick -- I play the guitar. My weapon is a guitar. I had a pick in my pocket. Silver comb -- I like silver. I like my hair. I had a comb in my pocket. Q2: Piece of paper -- It had FAIL written on it. The owner wasn't too bright. They really need to clean out their pockets more. Horse head on a stick -- I got no clue. Calder wasn't in the class. So... seriously, what WAS that for? Piece of plaid -- she was wearing plaid. Calder wasn't in the class. Nobody else was wearing plaid.
He jotted down his answers, knowing he was probably going to fail his homework, but not really caring. Seriously, what else were you supposed to say about a horse head on a stick? Honestly it sort of creeped him out...

Luckily it seemed Roch was writing just as much as her. Good!Quote: Name: Danny Fitz Bag Received: Tro's What objects did you put in your bag? What does each mean to you? What did they mean to you?Iron rod: Neat I guess. It's kind of heavy. Weird for someone to have though. Shield pin: I really liked it! It was shiny. I think Tro wears it sometimes? Bunny wunny head: I used to have one of these when I was little! I liked him. Didn't know Tro liked this kind of stuff. She looked at the bottom question. Uhhh. She was really comfortable on this bed. Besides, Tro had already kind of told her she did good! So ...Quote: Tro said I did good. He ... thought all of my descriptions were spot on. I got it all right. It was a lie that the teacher would undoubtedly see through, but Danny was lazy. Homework wasn't her thing. "Okay homework's done LET'S GET PIZZA!"

"Naaah, let's go get somethin' else," Roch said, tossing his piece of paper on the hated desk as he got to his feet, stretching his arms over his head. "How about... tacos!" he decided. "I could seriously go for a box of tacos. Maybe a burrito and some of those cinnamon swirly things."
The homework was completely forgotten, and done incorrectly, but honestly, he didn't give a crap. It was food time! "Hey, where ARE my picks, anyway? I want them back."

Danny hopped up too, throwing her papers on her bag and just leaving it there. Its not like she didn't leave her stuff here all the time. She probably had a second tooth brush in Roch's room to be honest.
"TACOS!" Danny shouted, following behind him. "Taco skull! Taco skull!" Homework was totally trounced, word count not met and done entirely wrong, but neither of them cared about their homework. There was a reason Danny was failing.
When he asked about his picks, she nearly stopped in her tracks. In that childish way, she looked up at him and said, "... I dunno."

"You don't know," he repeated. "You yanked a month's worth of picks to stick in a bag for class and you don't know what you did with them," he said. "Jackdammit, Danny, I might lose picks a lot, but not that many at once!"
They were sort of expensive and a pain in the a** to get the right ones. He'd even had to order some in a few times. Eh, oh well. "Maybe I should try usin' one of..." Then he shook his head, since the idea of LOSING one of Tex's picks was downright terrifying to him. They were all he had left--those and the hat.

Danny shoved him and said, "Calm down screech, they're in my room okay." Where in her room was another matter entirely, but they'd go into that when they got there. Honestly, she just threw stuff around. It could be anywhere.
"Am I payin'?" she asked, leaving the unfinished sentence of his alone.

"For tacos? Lemme check," he said, digging in his pockets and pulling out a handful of seeds. "Nah, I can pay. I hit a nice crowd the other night, so I should be fine for a while." Then he yawned. "Course I didn't get in until three or so," he admitted shamelessly. "Sort of forgot I had a class the next morning."
That happened pretty often. "Hey Danny... y'know..." he hesitated, then shrugged. "There's more places than Taco Skull. It might come as a shock, but there's actual Mexican restaurants out there somewhere."

"But Taco Skull Roch!" she protested. t was her favorite fast food chain, so there'd be no convincing her. She did love Mexican though. Day of the dead was a great holiday.
She shoved him and said, "You gotta get to sleep Roch!" Rikki did the exact same thing, always staying up late. As far as Danny was concerned, it wasn't healthy! She had her late nights too, but nothing compared to these boils. She'd always be the first one out.
