Lesedi was now on his second viking and quickly growing in confidence as his experience did the same. With his fellow Reavers the young lion had fought, bled, killed and “acquired” some interesting materials to bring back to the pride’s crafters – and one crafter in particular. His band had split up to detect herd movement and potential thralls and Lesedi was now making his way through the dense dry foliage of the savannah – a much nicer sight than the rocky landscape he was slowly becoming used to.
He wouldn’t admit anytime soon but Lesedi still felt squeamish about the extreme violence that would often happen around him. No problems had arisen during his last viking and he had actually made a friend then but he could tell from a glance that the Reavers he now travelled with were the sort that enjoyed inflicting pain on disturbing level. They were of old blood for the most part and it was easy to tell that their upbringing had been quite different from Lesedi’s. He was all for beating up any stupid lion or other feline that crossed their path but they would kill with an odd ease and where females were involved, well… Lesedi was hearing some of the most disturbing things he’d ever heard in his life and learning a vocabulary that his mother would be appalled if she knew. When he’d been forced to admit that he had “been” with a rogue lioness shortly before his first viking, the things they’d asked! And how pleased that’d been at his shocked face when they’d implied he might have some bastards lying around. he knew it would be impossible to track down Aviana and the thought was sure to plague him for a very long time.
His life was in their paws and theirs was on his… but Lesedi had decided he didn’t like this particular group very much.

Minipia wondered if setting out on her own away from her father was the smartest idea. This hunting all on her own thing was a lot harder than she had figured, and she did not have daddy to go crying to if something went wrong. She was surprised with how hard things were without her leopard father around to help. She hated to think she might have been a little spoiled, but it was certainly true. The leopon had had it very good with her father, and she was really starting to notice the lack of him around. She did not know how far she had traveled away from him, but she did know that she had been going for a few weeks. A few weeks of trying to do all her own hunting and usually having problems doing so. She had been living mostly on hares and birds of late. They were small enough she could catch them on her own. She just was not built to take down something bigger. At least with her father to help they could team up on something. This solo thing was hard, and her awkward shape and size did not make it any easier. Ah yes, her hybrid state. Her being a hybrid had other draw backs. There were some creatures that liked to make fun of it, or were just down right mean about it. Apparently a hybrid was not 'clean' to some of them, and to others just 'stupid'. She had found some hated her more for the lion blood or the leopard blood, and some just hated her in general. Minipia's little sheltered world was being very quickly shattered by all these strange new things, and she did not like it one little bit. She was so upset about all these new thoughts in her head, she really was not watching where she was going.

Lesedi’s head came out of the foliage with practiced stealth when he heard the alarm cries of a few birds nearby. They had either spotted him or another threat and the Stormborn was eager to know which opportunity was presenting itself so close to his location. Even if he was suddenly outnumbered by a group of lions, it would take only a roar to get the Stormborn band on his back so the tawny lion was fearless in his exploration.
His head tilted ever so slightly when he realized that he was on a colliding path with what he believed to be a pale lioness. Perfect. He took only a few moments to consider that he was about to force enslavement upon someone he didn’t even know - honestly, not very long - before he sprinted out of the tall grasses and ran straight to the female, aiming to knock right into her as he growled viciously. Hopefully that would be enough to subdue her but he doubted it.

Minipia had not been expecting anyone around and she had been so caught up in her thoughts that she had missed the tell tale signs that she was not alone. She only got a moment to register that something was coming toward her before the growl sounded and she dropped down. The leopon was terrified by the sound and very much was afraid she was going to be eaten or something. She looked up, finally realizing it was a lion that had made that sound, and she shrank down further. Her mother had not been scary, why was this one? Then again, why was any feline or canine scary. She was at a loss on that question as a whole.
She gave a little whimper of distress before backing away from the lion slowly. "I am sorry if I am trespassing. I mean no harm." She tried to back away as far as she could, but she kept her eyes riveted on the male lion. He was a lot bigger than her since she was a hybrid. Leopard blood was not to her advantage right now. Of course, even if she had been bigger than him, the way she was acting, not a thing would have been to her advantage. She realized a little too late, that she was not helping her case with this male.

She had shrunk so quickly that Lesedi had actually jumped right over her and then twisted quickly to face the… leopon? Stormborn’s balls! Thralls didn’t have to be perfect but Lesedi liked them to at the very least be lionesses. Other cats were vastly inferior, canines were annoying, male lions who would accept living as slaves bothered him far more than he liked to admit and hybrids… bah, hybrids. They were abominations and the fact that he had once seen a lioness favoring a leopard over himself still brought a bitter taste to his mouth.
“Don’t move.” He told the frightened leopon in growly tone as she backed away. He was trying to decide what to do in this unexpected situation. A hybrid had no place in his pride if not as a thrall and she would probably be considered rather valuable considering that she was most likely infertile. He could think of many males who would like having a thrall they could use as much as they wanted without risking creating b*****d children. Lesedi was not heartless. Crude and brutish at times, perhaps, but he was still a young lion who had once had a loving mother by his side. It was hard to look down at the pitiful cowering girl in front of him and not feel… something. He did not want to be the one to condemn her to the kind of hell she would surely endure if he dragged her back to the pride. “Get out of…”
He was about to tell her to leave. It was the easiest way to solve his problem, pretending that he’d never seen her. But unfortunately things would not be that easy because out of the corner of his eye, he spotted one of his fellow Reavers approaching him. He was surprisingly close already.
“Oi, oi… what have you got there, Outlander?” Lesedi stiffened, recognizing that tone of eerie satisfaction at once. Now what?

Minipia kept backing away even as the male seemed to hesitate. She got a good two lion lengths away from him by the time he spoke. When he told her not to move, she froze in place. She did not want to rile his anger and have him kill her. The way he looked at her was not pleasant, but it was also not as unpleasant as she expected with how he had come charging in growling for all his worth. Perhaps he had thought her someone else? A little misunderstanding? She would take that gladly as it would mean she could leave. Her ears perked up when he started to speak again and tell her to leave. She was sure that was what he was saying, until he was interrupted.
Oh dear there was another one, another big lion, and he sounded very very bad. Smug, kind of bad. She did not like that tone and she wanted to run for all she was worth, but she had already been told not to move and whatever other order the first male was going to give had been cut off by the second lion's arrival. He did not seem very willing to continue saying it either. Oh dear, what to do? Minipia had no idea what she should do and she was far too scared to think straight right now. What she wanted to do was wail for her father, but he was not here.

Everything was wrong now. He would never be able to simply let her leave. It wasn’t even a problem of being called weak or having flowers in his blood, the obvious fact was that he had no right to stop the other Reaver from taking the girl the moment he showed the slightest lack of interest. And if he did allow him to claim the leopon, Lesedi predicted a terrible journey back home for them both and a mountain of guilt for the rest of his life. He had been cornered into making a decision that he’d often said was of no interest to him and he hated her for it.
“She’s mine. I’m claiming her as my first thrall.” He said the words with a smug expression, grinning as he stepped closer to the leopon and placing himself between the two felines. First thrall? Bah, like he wanted one in the first place. “She’s very obedient already so I’m sure she’ll behave.” Translation: There will be no need to hurt her.
Those words were also meant for the pale leopon as well, who he eyed with a fierce expression.
“You are coming with me. I will hurt you if you resist so don’t.” He ignored most of the other Reaver’s comments about not being stingy and sharing – that kind of talk made him a little sick - and at some point Lesedi actually growled at him. Once he had openly claimed something as his, he was fiercely possessive when others tried to take it away. The pale leopon was no exception. He hoped the Captain wouldn’t contest his claim but since this was his first capture, hopefully he would be allowed to keep her. They were the type that would probably accept it easily if he let them have some… fun with her on the way home but that was something Lesedi would fight against before he let it happen. “You. Walk. In that direction. I’m right behind you so don’t try anything funny.”

Minipia sighed and slowly pulled herself up. The fear was giving way to well, shock really. She would probably come to really thinking about what just happened later, but for the moment the shock had managed to force away the fear. She would do as she was told and that was that. She stood and looked at the male. "You are much bigger than I, and I am not stupid." Her voice was quiet and trembled a little. Her footsteps were rather wooden as she went forward. Her mind, her emotions, they had abandoned her while something else, just took over and went through the motions.
She moved in front of the male and kept walking as he told her to. She was not going to fight him, and she certainly could not cower anymore. Her mind was still back on the shock of being claimed. It had not even gotten to wondering what a Thrall was yet. The leopon never really thought she would ever be CLAIMED. Have a mate, maybe... cubs, probably not, but be claimed by a male that she just met? That had never crossed her mind in her life and it was not something she would have been able to contemplate before.

Lesedi eyed the leopon with a fierce intensity, trying to determine if her words could be considered as talking back to him. In the end, her meek tone stopped the growl that was already forming in his throat. She sounded defeated and while he took little pleasure in it, he was angry that she had forced him to act in her defense whether she realized it or not. The simple fact that she’d crossed his path had been enough to change his life completely.
“Don’t talk. Just keep walking.” He followed after the leopon – maybe he should ask if she had a name at some point – doing his best to ignore the other male’s annoying comments. He knew he should get used it though… it was going to be a looong journey back thome.

The leopon tried to form some kind of answer to the words being spoken to her, then she realized what she had been told and kept her mouth shut. Her brain was trying to process everything but really it was failing miserably. The second male was not helping matters at all. His comments were filtering through to her little head and making her nervous as hell. The shock kept most of it at bay, but she still did not like what was being said and it was starting to make her want to run again. She could not run, though, she had to do what this lion said so he did not hurt her.
No matter what else did or did not get through to her head, the fact that the lion behind her would hurt her if she ran had gotten through clearly and was stuck there. It was big bold letters on her brain "Do not piss off the lion." This was probably a good thing for her considering she could not fight worth her fur. She could barely hunt, how could she expect to face a lion and win? She was stuck with the lion that was following behind her, but what would her future with this lion bring? She was half afraid to think about that, and yet her half shocked mind kept coming back to it.

She was obeying at least and that was good enough for now. As long as she didn’t openly defy him, he had no reason to hurt her nor did any of the others. He would need to teach her the proper courtesy in which to address the other Stormborn but as long as they managed to pass through this initial phase without a hitch, things would be alright. His den would be clean and she would work as a huntress and messenger. He would give her as much freedom as he possibly could with arousing suspicion and maybe she’d even find a nice meek match amongst the other thralls and be... well, not miserable. If only things could work out that well.
