Bix clung to his shard, swirling and whirling and tripping with the colors and the voices. Other than missing his love, he knew that this was where he was supposed to be. The shard had told him the truth and he was happy here with it.
Until he appeared. Another, like him. Was it him? Of course not! This one was broken and off. What was it missing exactly? A SHARD.
It wanted his shard. Bix whirled on the invader, pulling back his bow and releasing his super arrow. THE HERO'S ARROW!
It cut the trippy lights with a swirling heart trail and hit the enemy with an explosion of light.

The flawed Bix wagged his little tail. Oh he wanted that shard! It would make him perfect!
When the other released his power move, he took the hit like a champion, feeling his plushie body split slightly. This was still Bix, no matter how twisted, and so he mirrored the move.
The power behind it was exactly the same, like a mirror image. But alas, he was flawed. He had no keys, no shard.
He was imperfect.

The true Bix whirled. What was that? How dare that flawed creature mirror his moves! He felt like Link, when he fights his shadow self. The fight always sucked but as a true hero, ONLY HE COULD TRIUMPH.
His tiny wings fluttered and he zoomed, strafing. He may have been a minipet but he was still an archer. He fired a round of arrows into his enemy with practiced precision.

The shadow plushie growled like a dog. When in a dog's body, do like a dog! He also fluttered to the side, opposite his protagonist. He fired the same amount of arrows, compensating with extra strength for the bonus strength of the other.

AHHHH! THESE FIGHTS WERE THE WORST!
His villain continued to mirror his moves. He needed to find a way to beat it, do just a bit more damage, find a strategy. The world swirled, the whispers told him that he was right and close and would be victorious.
He took faith in the shard and it's whispers. It would give him his heroic power! Bix barreled towards his counterpart, abandoning his bow to strike with his plushie fists.

The shade of Bix was caught off guard by the forward attack. It barrelled in the air, striking back with rounded fists. He felt his seams splitting under the influence of the shard-infused mini. No fair!
He kicked, the effect not nearly as helful as he'd hoped.

Yes! It was working! He felt the enemy's strength falter and Bis was bolstered by it. The enemy stared at him, gaped, as Bix's final strike obliterated the enemy. He was a hero! He was triumphant!

Bix clutched his shard triumphantly. His plushie eyelids slid closed as he surrendered to the glory and truth of the shard. But it wasn't that easy. When his eyes opened again he was watching something unfold. It seemed familiar, it struck a chord with him. The weapons drifted through his memory to a time as a trainee when H took them to te basement. The strange cavern that he'd never find on his own. Twists and turns and curves and they were there and the power was crippling. Even now, watching a memory, he felt the power clashing. Pulling and pushing and devouring each other. Bix stared and spun in the void. He was lost to it, like an endless conflict forever on loop. Would they ever stop fighting? Would it be like this forever? And then he was past them, moving on. The tunnel was made of light. Was he dying? Had the shard brought him to truth finally? The whispers he embraced had led him home? It wouldn't be the first time that this hunter met his end. The pods. Fighting Red. Was this just another life to lose? <> Continue? <>
