Yin found himself suddenly facing...another adult. There it was, brown hair distorting into various colors. Wings, glimmering as they too fell away to various colors. The very area around the creature seemed to be distorted, wrong. It unnerved him. He could feel its eyes on him, watching him, judging him. It had an edge to it he recognized, dangerous. It was standing in his way and he could not get past it without fighting, but it scared him on some deep level. Just...attack. Get past it, destroy it. Go home. Back to Princess Eva. Alexander. And...whatever else there was. He dashed forward with his small legs, letting his wings propel him, driving him forward before he kicked out, trying his best to get the upper hand early on. There was a blur of a counterattack. Equal pressure, equal damage. "You again?" The distorted scarefly looked down at the mantis boil in his new form. "This is pointless, it always is. You train. You fight. You fail. There is nothing for you to hide behind here. No morals to use as excuses, no zombies to use as your scapegoat. Just the two of us Yǐn Cáng. "It is not pointless," Yin tried to argue. "I may not win but it is the training that is important." But the other simply kept talking, and it was hard to deny it when he spoke such words of truth. This opponent seemed to know him, knew exactly what to say, what would dig the deepest, and ring with the most truth. It was just him again, facing the same issues as before. He never truly dealt with them, just pretended like he did and moved on. But today that was just not going to cut it. "No, I have become stronger. I do not need to be some flashy creature to fight well, to defend what is important." He made no comment about most of the things that the other said to him, not even sure what to say. Instead he just burst into a flurry of activity. Tiny hands seemed to come from all angles, striking various places on the distorted enemy. Pressing down on pressure points until it was defenseless. Yin was down before he could stop himself, catching himself on his hands, trying not to show the pain that he was in. It took him a while just to get on his feet, the entire time the mocking voice of the other continuing to point out his insignificance. Continuing to mock him. His wings helped to pick him up off of the ground, and their very presence reminded him that he had changed, he was different. "You are a liar. I am getting stronger. Things are changing for me. I will no longer be held back by words." He lunged forward, trying to keep weight off of his injured knee as best as he could. "I will fight for what I believe in." A sound he did not recognize tore from his lips as the wing was held up, his weight no longer supported by it and pressure building up on his knee. He fell with a moan but immediately began trying to drag himself back up. "I...I will do whatever I can. I will fight back."He gasped as pain shot up his leg, but he was up, and he could fight past pain. Fight through it. With his leg partially out of commission, and only one wing to try to help him support his weight, he was limited in options. But sparring had taught him other methods of attack. He pushed himself forward, almost falling on the other and then bit down, wishing for his razor sharp teeth but thankful that at least scareflies had some form of teeth. Rather than just clamp down he gnawed several times before digging in, refusing to let anatomy get in his way. Yǐn Cáng - Student Element - Grass HP: 8/20 Damage: 5 Effects: +1 attack for Gold Key

Yin had the creature and he knew it. He ignored the pulls at his hair, instead leaning up to get a better position and then reaching down, hands closing around its neck and squeezing. He kept squeezing until the entire area disappeared and there was nothing left but flashes of color and light. A fearsome battle being waged, the hatred from it washing over him like a wave. And then there was a bit of color and that was it, he was back. The battle gone from his memory but his knee giving him phantom pains, his hands still wrapped around an invisible neck.
