Of course they were lost. Rockin' Blues had drug his brother off on some wild goose chase, though he would never admit to it, and now they were lost. It wasn't frightening, at least Rockin' wasn't frightened. But then again, he was often too foolish to be frightened. Maybe he should be... but he wasn't going to go out of his way to incite his own fear. That was even more foolish than not being afraid when you should be. That was his logic anyway.

He looked back at his brother warily, waiting for him to say something. Rockin' knew he would. He wasn't afraid of being lost, but he was afraid of his brother -- more over his brother telling their mother what he'd done.

"It's right up here. I promise! I saw the deer go this way." It was a flimsy cover, and he'd be surprised if Rainbow Swirl actually bought it. But he kept walking, determined to find their way out under the guise of searching for that glittering deer he swore he saw.
