- Don't mess with the forms. Just fill 'em out and post 'em. Please make sure to fill it out completely, even if you're just giving Yes, No, or N/A as an answer. Failure to complete the form will result in your couple/single being disqualified!
Forms should be posted in this thread. There's no need to PM us your forms or anything like that. Just post them here when we announce that slots are open.
Put all of your forms in separate posts. One post per form, please! For LM and crackbreeding couples, it's only required that one person post the couple. Any quoting and/or agreements should happen over in the Breeding Agreements thread!
A trade should be started once your win has been confirmed. The winners should send their trades to the colorist handling their breeding. Remember to give the trade some sort of title!
Each person is allowed to keep no more than half of the amount of BCRs from a litter. One person would be allowed to keep 1 BCR from a 2 BCR litter, one person would be allowed to keep 2 BCRs from a 4 BCR litter, one person would be allowed to keep 3 BCRs from a 6 BCR litter. When it comes to odd numbered litters (3 BCRs and 5 BCRs), the remaining BCR can either be kept by one of the owners (after talking to each other about it, of course!) or given away to someone uninvolved with the breeding. It's up to you (and the other owner involved!) to find owners for the BCRs you don't plan on keeping, if there are any. They can be given out to friends, given away via contests, or be sent back to the shop to be given out via a free event. Please PM the litter's colorist if you want to return any BCRs! The shop won't do paid events for your BCRs, just free events (free raffles/games/contests/etc.). Similarly, you are not allowed to do "trades" with your BCRs or sell them off yourself. In the rare case where an owner suddenly goes inactive (What we consider inactivity: no posts in the main thread or the guild, no replies to messages, no contact whatsoever) and one of the couples they're involved with ends up winning, the other owner involved is allowed to pick which BCRs each half gets 1 month after the breeding is won. The inactive owner needs to be informed of the choices via PM, and the usual BCR rules still apply (each person is allowed to keep no more than half of the amount of BCRs from a litter). The active owner cannot home all of the BCRs, regardless of whether or not they covered the entire breeding fee.
No bribing, whining, complaining, crying, etc. We're all adults/teenagers here, so let's act like 'em, alright?
There is an age limit. Pets should be adults, with their adult forms on their certs, for at least two weeks before applying for lifemates/breedings/etc.
Your pet's previous offspring must be grown. Your pet cannot breed again until all of it's children are adults.
Lifemated pets can't be involved in crackbreedings/mysterybreedings/etc. Pets that are officially lifemated cannot breed with anyone outside of their lifemate. Unmated pets involved crackbreedings can be entered into mysterybreedings and mixers.
Singles have to be just that: single. If you're entering a pet into crackbreedings or a mixer, the pet cannot be officially lifemated to anyone at that point in time.
RPs must be finished and unused to qualify. If a pair is being entered with RP, then the RP(s) must be finished and meet the RP requirements (2k word count per person, total word counts for all owners involved must be posted at the end of the RP, etc.). In-thread RP and Tribe RP do not count! You cannot use an RP as evidence if it was used in a past breeding, unless that breeding was unsuccessful.
We need the uncerted versions of your pets or we won't be able to work on breedings. Please remember to link your couple's official uncerts to their certs in the breeding form! If you're having trouble locating your pet's uncert, feel free to ask in the main thread for help or even PM staff!
Don't pester us about your breedings. Breedings will always be completed. However, RL comes first. Please don't pester us about your breeding or anything like that, because it will be finished. However, if the breeding hasn't been completed and you haven't received a status update - via PM/messenger/in-thread/etc. - from the colorist after one (or more!) month, please PM Modifox to discuss the situation!
Feel free to edit your entries. Editing is allowed, up until the slots are closed. We won't be PMing people about mistakes, since we usually get a lot of entries, but any couples/singles that we spot with errors in their forms will be listed with red text (along with a note) here on the front page, down in the Entries section! We hope this will make things easier for you guys. <3
- Couple Rules:
Two couples per person. Unless stated otherwise, you may only enter two couples into LM breedings and crackbreedings. However, someone else may enter another one of your pets if it's paired with one of theirs.
The other person involved in the breeding must confirm things in the Breeding Agreement thread for your entry to be valid. Failure to get things nice and confirmed before the end date will result in your entry not qualifying, so be sure to post over in the Breeding Agreements thread for your LM and crackbreeding couples!
Lifemated pets must be posted in both the Lifemating thread and the Breeding Agreement thread to qualify for breedings. To prove that the pets are officially lifemated, they need to be posted over in the Lifemating thread. Then, like all couples, they need to be posted over in the Breeding Agreements thread. We won't be checking the status of your couple unless they're RNG/CC'd. If your couple is RNG/CC'd and it turns out they weren't posted or completely confirmed in the Lifemating thread or Breeding Agreement thread, they'll be disqualified and another couple will be chosen. Making sure that your couples are posted and all confirmed in those threads is your responsibility, not ours! Prior to rolling/CCing, we make sure to do a Ctrl + F check to make sure all of the couples entered into the breeding round are listed in both the Lifemating thread and the Breeding Agreement thread. Again, any couples/singles that we spot with errors in their forms will be listed with red text (along with a note) here on the front page, down in the Entries section!
- Tribe Rules:
Pets in different tribes must have their Elder's permission before entering. If the two breeding pets are in different tribes, they both need to have permission from their Elder (either ICly or OOCly, from the Elder's owner).
Pet in a tribe + pet without a tribe = different tribes. If one of the pets in the pair is in a tribe, but the other is tribeless, they are considered to be in different tribes.
Pets in tribes must have their official tribe mods and be certed with them. Pets in tribes, especially same-tribe couples, must have their tribe mods and be certed with them before entering breedings. If they're still on the Waiting List and you try to enter them, we'll be forced to disqualify the couple.
Breedings between two Elders are rare. For two Elders to breed and/or mate, they must have extensive RP. Also, when two Elders lifemate, it means that their tribes must merge, so this must be cleared and allowed by all of the tribe members either ICly or OOCly.
Due to their ranks, Hunters and Carers have certain breeding perks that take effect during lifemate breedings. Hunters have a 1 in 30 chance to lose a kit, Carers have a 1 in 30 chance to gain an extra kit (The maximum number of kits a litter can have is 6).
Breeding payment is based solely on the parents, rather than the amount of BCRs and the types of BCRs the breeding results in. This way you guys will know right from the start how much you'll be paying!
Regular/Seasonal Breed Parent: 30k
Rare Parent: 60k
Examples:
- A breeding with two regular parents would cost 60k total.
A breeding with two rare parents would cost 120k total.
A breeding with two different parents (1 regular, 1 rare) would cost 90k total.
LM (lifemate) breeding: Officially lifemated couples are the only ones allowed to enter this type of breeding. Your typical B/C breeding! This is the type of breeding that the shop opens a majority of the time.
Crackbreeding: Single pets are the only ones allowed to enter this type of breeding. These are basically a more thought out version of mixer breedings, where a "couple" is entered, instead of two pets being randomly paired up by a colorist.
Mixer: Single pets are the only ones allowed to enter this type of breeding. One owner's pet is randomly paired up with another owner's.
Mysterybreeding: Single pets are the only ones allowed to enter this type of breeding. A pet is paired up with an NPC partner, which allows the colorist to play around with the resulting BCR's markings and, occasionally, even their breed.

If your answer is something like "I'd prefer them to be paired with pets with -insertcolors-" or "Please avoid -insertcolors-!", it's not guaranteed that the colorist will go along with that, since we're mostly concentrating on genders/species/etc. for this question! Please don't answer with anything like "Don't pair my pet up with any of USERNAME's pets, I don't like that person!" Just don't.)
