My boyfriend has been depressed for three years now. He has attempted suicide many many times....the latest being last night. It all began because of someone he lost years ago...who died. And now recently someone just left his life who was also very important to him (but they didn't die). I can't physically be with him because we met online and live in different states, but I don't know what to do anymore.....I want to be there for him.....
In fact, I was on the phone with him last night. Well, Skype. He never said anything about it to me. Around the time he tried to off himself, I was still texting him. He gave me no indication he was going to kill himself.
This is more of a rant of sorts...but I needed to post it somewhere....I just don't know what to do..........______________________________

And he and I talk on Skype a lot. We are serious...as serious (if not more) than when I was in my last relationship, and that one lasted one and a quarter years...______________________________

Cinna101 you could move.... you can't have a serious relationship over the internet.... that's all i have to say about that >_< and good luck to you ^^ I know a lot of serious internet relationships that are going better than most of the 'normal' relationships I've seen. Fair enough, they do meet each other sometimes, but it's still mostly over the internet. On that point though, maybe you could visit him at some point? I don't know.

Fair enough, they do meet each other sometimes, but it's still mostly over the internet. On that point though, maybe you could visit him at some point? I don't know. Oddly enough, I'm going to be flying down there at some point to check out a college near him with my family. They also want to see some wineries, and since et said I have to be the driver, I was hoping that maybe I could drive to where he lives.
It's a real long shot, but it could be worth it.______________________________

I have had suicidal tendencies, and my guy has been there for me. just tell your guy how much you love him and that you'd be heartbroken if you lost him and that him attempting it hurts you and if he feels that way, to just off himself, then he needs to let you go because he doesn't love you enough to weather the storm. that's kinda what my guy did, and it really woke me up. but everyone is different, so go with you gut instinct, not just something someone suggests.
