A grape hovered over Felo’s whiskers. It danced just out of his reach. Oh, how it was taunting him. Nipping in the air, Felo attempted to devour it, but it continued to play with him. Sooner or later he’ll get that grape. A smirk curled over his teeth. Yes, he’ll snatch up that little beauty and enjoy the deliciousness inside. The grape lowered closer, Felo reached up, but the grape came crashing down and knocked Felo in the nose.
Oww! Felo woke with a start to find his sister’s paw covering his whole face. Ugg, he kicked her away. She merely grunted and flopped over. Felo glared at her and rolled over onto his paws. See! This was the problem with siblings! He was having a perfectly good dream about a grape (whatever that was, he heard some adults talking about them earlier) and his sister had to go and ruin it. He stabbed her with his eyes for extra measure.
Felo needed a break. He stretched and padded out of his family’s den. Maybe something more interesting will await him outside. It had to because all his family was sleeping. He rolled his eyes and took a more lazily pace through the area. Though, his round ears perked up. It sounded like something was thundering closer. He couldn’t see anything, but he wasn’t about to stick around and found out. It wasn’t that he was scared, just cautious. Plus, being in an exposed, open area probably wasn’t the best idea.
Felo took off. He didn’t know where he was going, but hopefully he was getting away from the noise. Of course, just his luck, it only sounded like it was getting louder. He intended to change directions, but he was distracted. Another couple steps had him smacking right into a wall of flesh, sending him tumbling through the dust.
”Uhh…” Felo slowly raised his head. His ears were ringing. A couple good shakes of his head got his eyes to focus again. He looked over to see what he ran into. A huge, light brown cub greeted his eyes. Still too stunned to get up, Felo spat,
”What is your problem!?”
