Into the desert again. Samril had considered for a moment traveling to fight a Firani dragon, but he wasn't sure he could handle it just yet. He'd practice a bit more first... and so on he went to hunt down another Kiandri dragon. Yay. Well, at least he could continue to impress his brothers this way. A grin spread across his face as he remembered the look on their faces when he'd dumped his orb collection out for them to see. They had been shocked... stunned completely.
After that, his nieces and nephew had followed him around, asking him to tell them stories of his dragon hunts. It seemed he'd become the favorite uncle. At least for a time. Children seemed to bounce from hero to hero throughout their childhood, but he could bask in the limelight for now.
But now was no time for basking... unless it was in the sun and heat of the desert. Samril settled the silly floppy hat on his head and set forward. Now was time for fighting and being serious. Even if he was used to fighting the Kiandri and continually winning, he could still die from a lapse of attention. Dragons were tough and he had to be careful while out here.
The Dovaa set out for a dragon, his eyes searching as he walked. There would be a dragon out here for him to fight and kill. Another soul orb to add to his growing collection. Hmm, speaking of those, he might want to turn some in to Marcus Ysaride. Not that it was expected from him yet, but he could show the Dovaa leader just how powerful he was becoming. He wondered what Marcus would say. After all, he'd only been an Adept for a short period of time. And he already had a large collection of soul orbs. And not just Ysali orbs this time. No, he had a lot of Kiandri orbs. Maybe he should wait and show up with a Firani orb too? That would really make Marcus take notice of him!
Samril grinned at this idea. Yes. He'd try for a Firani orb and take it to show the leader. That was perfect. But, for now he must focus upon fighting another Kiandri dragon. And then he would practice some before setting out to try a Firani. After all, Tyne was still fighting them and he was four years ahead of Samril. So they couldn't be too easy. Or maybe he was just that much stronger than Tyne. And Teslin had mentioned that he'd met Tana when she was fighting a Firani. So had Teslin been searching for Firani dragons as well? Surely not. Surely he was strong enough to take on something tougher? Perhaps he had been searching for a Gaili dragon. Samril had heard that they lurked in the desert as well, though he was glad that he had not stumbled across one yet. They were very tough, especially for Kiandri Dovaa!
Samril's thoughts were pushed aside as he came across a dragon. A Kiandri dragon, not the Gaili he had just been thinking about. And it was unaware of him. The Dovaa grinned and put on his clawed gloves. This was going to be fun!!
A short time later, he was picking up another yellow soul orb and placing it in his bag. Easy.
