 Uyoga scanned the pathetic shelter. Needless to say, he was frustrated. A week ago, he attempted to put his body through extreme stress in order to come out a stronger warrior. Unfortunately, he failed. He starved his body to the point of uselessness. It was disgraceful. He couldn’t even work up enough energy to hunt. That night, he should have died, but this stupid creature interrupted his plans. She called herself Nubia and she would not leave him alone. He tried to eat her, but his weak body was no problem for her to avoid. She declared him unfit to look after himself and so, she will see to his needs. Again, disgraceful. Uyoga didn’t need help from a lesser creature! He was a strong warrior who lived his life with strength and honor! But…now look at him, lying in a crumpled mess with a wolf his only way to survive. Pathetic.
Uyoga made an attempt to rise. He hasn’t stood on his own feet for over a week and he desperately needed to stretch his legs. But, before he could get his feet under him, Nubia came rushing to his side.
”Now, you stop that right this instance!” Nubia pressed her nose into his shoulder to force him back down. It didn’t take much. Even after a week of regular food, his body still looked on the brink of death. Something wasn’t right. Her brow folded in worry. As young and strong as Uyoga was, he should be able to recover faster than this. Her experience only included cubs. She’s never looked after an adult lion, never mind a male, stubborn as dirt, lion. He fought her at every turn. It took her hours just to force him to eat a rabbit. It was obvious he was starving, but his stubborn attitude caused him to suffer. Finally, he gave up and ate. She didn’t have an answer, but her only guess was male pride. She shook her head disapprovingly. He’d wined up dead if she wasn’t here.
As Uyoga laid back down, she noticed his body gave a violent shake. Oh, no. Nubia circled around him in their make shift shelter. She found a fallen tree trunk leaning against another tree. She patched up the holes with branches and leaves. It gave her a nice place to take care of Uyoga. It wasn’t very spacious, but enough room for him and her to sleep comfortably. Now, she could feel extra heat coming off of Uyoga. Nubia began to worry. He must have a fever on top of some kind of illness. This was beyond her skill set. She could take care of coughs and minor things, but never something like this. She needed help. ”Now, you just sit tight. Don’t you dare try to move. I need to run out~ I’ll be back in a bit.” She quickly dashed out of the shelter and ran through the trees. Nubia had to find something or someone to help him.

How many days had it been now? Quite a few.... a long time since he'd last interacted with another feline, or even a canine... sure there were passing by creatures he'd see, but... there was never any interaction. In fact, most of his life was rather lonely. He didn't have a pride, and his family had dispersed at an early age in his life. Thus he walked alone in silence, just doing what natural instinct told him to.
Though in his solitude he was able to learn a bit of a trade, healing that is, that seemed to come in handy every once in awhile. Sometimes he would come across an injured creature, or individual who needed some care, and he'd always offer his assistance. Of course this didn't happen too often on his travels... thus they were mostly used on himself when getting into a scrap or falling a little under the weather.
On this day out though, his leisurely gait was halted by the sound and sight of another. Ears flipping forward, Ekrem watched as a spied a small canine weaving about the grand tree's surrounding them, looking quite... distressed. Blinking curiously, he watched her, to see where she was going. Hopefully she was just late somewhere..

Oh, dear. Oh, dear. Nubia raced through the trees. Things were not looking good. She needed to find somebody to help Uyoga or else all her hard work would have been for nothing. She would never forgive herself if he died. Well, Nubia did take him under her care. It's bad busy if her 'client' died under her watch.
As she dashed along the ground, a lower branch whacked her in the face. She halted and rubbed her paw where the branch hit. That hurt, but she wasn't paying enough attention to her own self. The only thing on Nubia's mind was how in the world she was going to find somebody that could help her around these parts. She continued forward, but walked this time. Even though she needed to hurry, Nubia took a minute to think about her current situation. She needed to attack this with brains or else she'll wind up needing help too. A frustrated growl escaped her lips. Why did that big, stubborn lion have to go and starve himself? This situation could have been avoided if he wasn't so bull headed.
Nubia paused and took a couple deep breaths to calm herself. No need to get her tail in a knot. It would not help her current situation. She opened her eyes after the little cool down and scanned the area. What is that? She squinted her eyes and took a step forward. Then she yipped in happiness. It was a lion! Oh, thank the gods! Nubia has found another lion! Maybe he could help her? It was worth a shot. She dashed forward calling out, "Sir! Sir!" Nubia came to a stop in front of him, breathing heavily. "I'm really sorry to bother you, but you wouldn't happen to know how to heal a fever? There's a really sick lion not too far from here and I'm afraid he needs help or he'll die." She panted after getting all that information out in one breath. This was really lucky! Nubia had no idea when she would meet another creature.
