The day's had been hot recently... more so than usual. The sun was relentless in it's brazen demeanor, and denied clouds from joining it in the sky. There was shade to be found under wide spread tree canopy's, but they only proved to be so effective for so long as the day would progress... water was a necessity now..
Having been wandering the rouge lands for awhile now, venturing from her fathers to take a little adventure of her own, the young lioness was able to take care of herself just fine. She was a born fighter after all, and that was only honed after the two males had adopted her as their own blood. Ready for what ever might come her way, Eros was fueled with a confidence that did not permit her to sway from any challenge presented. Water wasn't too scarce thankfully, and with a sharp nose, she was able to track it; along with the help of a few waterbucks and birds that were heading there themselves. Soon enough, she came to it... a pleasant little lake. It was tucked away in a small forest, thus shaded and not heated by the sunlight. Herbivores were there already, as were some avians to wash their wings, and quench their thirst. Stomach already full from the afternoon hunt, those pale blue eyes gave no mind to her usual prey, and instead meandered to the edge of the water pool, lowered her head, and began to lap at it lightly.

Huritt stretched his limbs to let out a bit of stiffness that seemed to have built up over the course of a couple hours. He found himself under the shade of a tree, close to a lake. The tree wasn’t very large, but it was adequate enough to provide a lovely place to nap. A yawn spread his jaws and his tongue slid out to clean his muzzle. Yes, today was a good day. The tips of his mouth perked up in a content smile.
Huritt thought about his adventures before. Earlier in the day, he found himself in the presence of the smelliest lion he’s ever met. The poor bloke was so gross and sweaty, that he attracted all the wrong smells. Luckily, Huritt found him and let the black pelted lion to a stream for a bath. Huritt left the black male, his mission complete. He continued, following the stream till it lead him to this lake.
He glanced up and spotted a lioness walking towards the lake. His ears immediately perked up and grinned. Well, now~ he hasn’t seen a female around these parts yet. What a treat, plus…she was very beautiful. It’s always a bonus when they’re pretty. Huritt picked himself up and headed towards her direction. He’d like to introduce himself to this new stranger. Huritt called out, ”Hello, there!” He bowed to her. ”My name is Huritt. What brings you to the lake besides the water?”
musicaloner7 Sorry for the late response! For some reason, I thought I already tagged this. xD

Calming more than she normally would be, Eros fell into a mild lull as she lapped up the delicious water. Throat getting quenched, the liquid rejuvenating her, the lioness was actually maybe starting to find a good mood! ...that is, until an unwelcomed voice and scent took to the air. Instantly, she ceased her drinking, and snapped her head right up to stare straight at the inferior male. Ears pinning back, fangs were bared, and her head lowered in a defensive position. Even with his outgoing demeanor, and friendly introductory, Eros was having none of it... Pale gaze remained locked on him, like a hunter on prey, warning him with a low growl to keep his distance. Even the polite formality's meant nothing... There were no welcomed guests to her... no one but her fathers.
A line of fur was starting to bristle down he spine, tail lashing about behind her. Not a word was spoken, nor a fragment of invitation given... There was plenty of lake, luckily. So long as he kept to a part of it far from her, then everything would be just fine.

Huritt immediately paused. He was a bit taken aback. Never had he come across a creature so...hostile. The grin started to slump from his face. He didn't want to push the situation further, but he was a bit intrigued. What happened to this lioness that made her so aggressive? Huritt would hate to get on the wrong end of her claws. By the way her stance looked, she could really do some damage.
Well, this will not do. He can not turn back now. He'll have to get to the bottom of this, or at least come to some conclusion as to why she instinctively sticks her claws out to strangers. Huritt took a couple steps back. "Now, now. No need to get your tail in a knot." He took his eyes off the female to survey the ground. He wanted to appear as if her threatening gaze didn't faze him. Then, he plopped down on the ground and assembled himself in a comfortable sitting position: front legs crossed in front of him, with his back legs to the side.
He turned his attention back to her and smiled. Even if she did lunge at him, he'll have enough time and space to quickly roll out of the way. Though, he was hoping that she wouldn't.
