He'd been extremely protective of his territory. It was apparent that he didn't like any sort of idea of anyone crossing unless he escorted them. The fact that Undine was with him made him this way. Over protective. Plus, he was an old fart. Not really but he was going through his prime, and almost ending it so to speak. The old knight was pretty active in his patrolling. After he set Undine in to their makeshift den, he went off to hunt and patrol. The tall grass was his only defense, like most predators of his stature but his pelt was spotted in pure day light, but at night he was ample to use his survival skills. So he went off in to the darkness of the night.
First, he was just reviewing his perimeters. Scanning the area, which made him alert but laid back for the moment. Uptight but at peace of mind. This place, though he liked it, they had to keep constantly moving. For now, this place had done them well for over a week. Game was good- but he needed to find a pride soon. He'd heard of several for cheetahs but non quite interested him, and some- he had to save Undine from. Lions. He'd be prejudice of anything non cheetah.

The cheetah had been speeding away the ground beneath him. Full force as if he were running from something or someone extremely dangerous. It was excellent in his speed and form, but clumsy- well he was quite a lot of that too and with a lead on his sister and his hype. Well. That was a mix for failure. His mane blew in the wind and everything about running made him think he was flying. Everything below him seemed .. so far away.. Til a mid sized sleeping gazelle was in the way. The collision seemed too impossible to dodge by this point..
He hadn't realized until the gazelle made itself ten times bigger by being spooked and raising itself to buck off but it was too late. The cheetah laid it down flat as he went head first in to the floor and thumbled, hitting every body part on the way.. and finally stopped. Softly he opened his eyes.. blinking softly..
"woah..."
