The shadow-coated mare stood on her lonely hilltop and took a long, deep breath as she savored the scent of fresh rain on sweet-grass. It was a pleasantly cool evening and she had met at least a couple of fellow Azrein since she had left the mountains. How long had it been, now? How many weeks since she left her family and everything she knew? Not terribly long, probably, but her knowledge of the world had already expanded so much. How much more would she learn about the floating isle before all was said and done? How much farther would she travel before she found what she was searching for? And what then? What would happen when she did find it? Would she be pleased? Would she feel fulfilled? A deep sigh left her in a rush. Only time would tell. What she needed right now, however, was a distraction. Yes, she could do with a good distraction about now. Preferably in the form of an Azrein. Her bright, crimson eyes scanned the surrounding country in hopes of just that.

Andreios was out on one of his excursions again, as was normal for him. With no herd or family to tie him down, he found it difficult to stay in one spot for too long. But today, he was in unfamiliar territory and it showed as he walked slowly and alertly. It was getting well into the day, and the stallion was beginning to get hungry and so the search for food was on. Smelling a pond nearby, Rei was sure there would be some good grazing near it, so he started off to the east, chasing the rising sun.

The mare turned just in time to see the end of a brown tail disappear around a bend. Oh? Now who could this be? Interest piqued, Senka took off after that tail at a brisk trot.
In short order, she found herself by a small, crisp-smelling pond. Good water, to be sure, and doubtless good grazing, too, but that was not what caught her attention. Before her stood a large, refined-looking male with teal-laced wings. Ah, it seemed that her chances for a good distraction were looking better and better.
"Good evening," she said courteously enough, not allowing her intentions for cornering and interrogating the male to show through.

Andreios whipped around at the sound of a voice. It seemed as if he was lost in his own thoughts today as he allowed himself to be cornered. The male's guard instantly went up as he regarded the beautiful mare that stood in front of him. Her blood red feathers danced in the soft wind that blew the mare's mane. Trying as hard as he could, he tried to not become enamored in the mare's beauty.
"Good Morning." He said politely, he had at least been raised with enough sense to know how to talk to a lady.

Senka nickered in amusement. "Morning? I do believe that the sun will be setting soon, but if you insist, then who am I to argue?"
Oh, yes. This meeting would surely provide her with much entertainment. Fate was smiling upon her once more. She cocked her head slightly and considered him. Where best to begin? The herd? The humans? The Isle at large? My, but those were broad topics. Perhaps it would be best to start simply. Introductions were generally considered the polite place to begin.
"I am Senka."

(( D: It's my own derp for not reading the finer things in your post...oh well...rei can just look stupid for a bit. Lol))
Rei shrugged and flattened his wings against his back. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Senka. My name is Andreios." The red of her eyes lured him in as he looked away quickly, not wanting to be mesmerized by anything. "This isn't your territory is it? If it is, I am terribly sorry for intruding."

((lol No worries. I'm just willing and able to use all details to my advantage. >_> ))
"The pleasure is all mine," Senka replied, though she did have to wonder why he was avoiding her eyes...and her entire general direction. Some strange taboo or was he just that shy? The mare shrugged it off.
"I could ask the same, but seeing as you make no claim and I have only just arrived in these lands, I suppose we are both risking trespassing. At least if we are discovered now, we will not be found alone."
She smiled at him, though she doubted he would notice since that hill over there seemed to hold his avid interest. "May I ask what brings you here?"

"I find it difficult to stay in one place for too long, I just started another little journey today, and this is where I landed." Rei smiled at her, looking up again. "But I suppose it lets me see more things and meet other Azrein and humans." He purposefully stated that last part, telling that he was aligned with the king.

This male sounded a lot like her. The restlessness, the curiosity. How much had he seen in his travels? How much more of the world had he experienced than she? There was no doubt in her mind that he had more experience with the Isle at large than she did. After all, she had not been long off of her mountain.
"Yes," she agreed. "The humans are most interesting." In truth, she was fascinated by them, and she had only just started learning about them.
"Do you have one?" She asked, as though they were fascinating pets to be claimed.
