Personality: Affable and well-spoken, Kimblee is a brilliant man with a photographic memory. He never forgets a face, and tends to remember especially well those who interest him. Beneath his casual attitude, however, is a cruel, nihilistic monster whose one true pleasure is the act of destruction. Blowing things up, killing people, listening to their screams...these are the things which bring him joy. What's worse is that he knows the true toll of what he is taking from people, and he still enjoys it. This is merely the person that he is, he might say, and he accepts that truth. To deny it would be to deny his very being...and to run away would be cowardice. He was born a monster, and he lives his life proudly as a monster.
Bio: Always a cruel man, most of the file on Major Zolf J. Kimblee of the JSSDF is covered in so much black ink you would never begin to know the full story about him. It was said that during quite a few conflicts into which the Japanese forces were drawn her performed with excessive force and, while efficient in wiping out enemies and bringing down towns, always managed to go a bit too far. As a result, his career stalled out at Major despite his willingness to take on any mission, to do any job that was given to him, and the fact that he was good enough to get the job done. Unfortunately, on one covert mission his darker nature went too far...a small farming village that had threatened revolt due to heavy taxation had killed an MP that got too forceful with one of the locals...and in they sent the Major to settle the conflict with his unique skills, meant to bring the one responsible to justice.

After only 2 hours in the village, every building had been destroyed...burning in the wreckage of explosions, and every last man, woman, and child lay burning amidst the rubble, dead.

In the aftermath of the mission Kimblee was brought in to be imprisoned, but finding the old fools pulling his strings to be incompetent, he wiped out the unit that had been sent to arrest him and bring him to court martial. Immediately thereafter, the Major turned himself in for judgement despite openly feeling no remorse for any of his actions. He was thrown into the Central prisons for two years before the Human Weapons Project caught wind of his unique skills going to waste in the prisons...and using their authority he was brought out to be put through the tests, the training, striking an immediate rapport with the mad scientist behind the whole thing. His ability was an unrivaled appetite for destruction, the ability to destroy things...buildings, humans, lives...and by refining that ability over and over, he gained the ability to destroy whatever he touched simply by laying his hands upon it. All that brushed his palms went up in fire and smoke, and he loved every minute of it.

In him, the HWU had its first true success...but in the process, they had created an unrivaled monster.

Kimblee's ability is a perfect refinement of his unrivaled appetite for destruction; his unique ability to destroy all that he touches, all that comes near to him, without any concern for humanity or mercy or anything else allows him to become a complete monster unlike nearly any other human weapon. This desire to destroy with his own two hands became a catalyst for experimentation...and by carving two circles into his palms, the doctor behind the experiments gave him a focal point upon which to pour all of his intent to destroy. ...How the actual ability works is a mixture of directly manipulating the chemicals both in his own body and in whatever he touches, using his own body heat (manipulated to varying degrees) and the vibration of his hands to cause reactions that alter the composition of that which he touches into a something destructive...in short, what he touches with his palms he can change into bombs. These bombs are of varying strengths, sizes, controlled explosions or wild ones...they may explode instantly, after a timed reaction, and they may explode in various manners. Each bomb is unique, often with a personal touch for each specific target. One bomb may be meant to take a limb, another meant to take out an entire block. And once a bomb has been created it is impossible to revert to what it was before. It will explode...and Kimblee will revel in the destruction.

[What Kimblee touches with his hands will explode at his will...depending on the composition of the 'bomb' he creates, it may explode immediately or after a delay. It may impact with a severe level of fire damage, physical damage, or both. It may pierce resistances and leave a lasting Burn on those who are not killed by the explosions. Even if what he touches is a human body part, it will still explode and be severed.]

Personality: Intelligent, stylish, and relaxed in personality, Mihawk adheres to a strict code of personal conduct when it comes to (and only when it comes to) swordplay and on whom he will use his weapons. A self-styled 'holy man', he seeks to bring his own brand of peace and freedom to Japan, but knows that even a man such as he cannot manage such a thing by simply acting on his own beliefs. Choosing to side with the ally he feels is most likely to achieve the goal of reunifying the country's scattered, supernatural forces, he has cast his lot entirely with Mori...his own code prevents him from turning away from this path.
Bio: His exact origins are unknown, but Mihawk is often said to have been born with a sword in his hands. By the time he appears on any record, as a seven year-old boy being raised by a pastor in a Christian Church just outside of Osaka, his renown as a legendary swordsman had already begun spreading throughout the country. Defeating full-grown adults without taking a wound, the boy grew in stature until finally, at 13, the challenges to his title became so frequent and dangerous that he could no longer reason staying inside the church any longer. Setting out on his own, he became every bit the wandering swordsman that legends say one of his ability should be...and defeating every challenger who came across his path, circles of swordsmen came to revere him as the Greatest Swordsman of the Modern Age. By the time he hit his 20s, however, realization was beginning to strike him hard...he could never do God's work on his own and bring Japan the tranquility and freedom he hoped. And once the situation in Inaba with the Lockdown came to light, he knew that he could no longer wait to cast his lot.

It was for this reason that he sought out Mori (the only one amongst the Seven Spears to approach him, rather than the other way around) and requested that he, as the most likely man in his estimation to emerge from the chaos as the victor, allow Mihawk to act as his right arm...the First amongst the Seven Spears. Aware of Mihawk's reputation for both skill and personal honor, he did not hesitate to make use of this powerful knight. A true ace in the hole for a man who did not need one...

Bio: Before his death, Ebiro was a soldier to General Munakata, several years ago.
