"Helloooo.." Bix came knocking on Ceres door. He'd just been to the infirmary and they told him he was okay for missions. The runic bandages, pills, and mystery gels seemed to be doing their work. The stitches supposedly would come out on his next check up.

He was pretty happy about it but still wary of training. Mina hadn't been summoned since the HH encounter and the first few days she was quiet. He thought she deserved a rest after her valiant efforts to save his internal organs.

"Ceres.. you here?" He tried the knob. HEY.. at least he knocked FIRST.

When he turned the door he would find it unlocked, something that was a sure-sign she was home. The only time she ever locked it was when she was not home, locking it behind her as she left.

Inside he would find her sitting at her desk, pencil in her mouth, and reading glasses on at the tip of her nose. Nibbling on the eraser she was studing a piece of paper in front of her curiously.

She had called out "Come in!" Before he turned the doorknob, don't worry Bix your safe >.>.

"Hey Archer, how you feeling?" Her aquamarine eyes flicked up to stare at him for a moment, before returning to the paper. On the paper was writings here and there, no real subject to some of it. Partially it was a schedule that she was working on, a schedule that moved around hunter duties and a training schedule. She figured she needed one yes? Her justification was more that if she was a healer on the battle field, even her charged attack was a heal, she needed to grow stronger in other aspects as well if she wanted to survive.

There was also other little meaningless notes around the paper, nothing fancy.

Bi gave her a smile of greeting as he stepped into the room. He didn't close the door behind him, leaving it slightly cracked, but he did approach the desk, leaning over behind her to peer at her paper of notes.

"Working hard?" Seemed like he was scheduling more than anything. "Heh.. glasses are cute." He poked them up her nose with a chuckle before stepping away to sit on the edge of her bed.

"Actually they told me I was approved for duty. Stitches come out next time but, for now I am apparently allowed to do things." He unconsciously patted the wounded spot.

"I figured patrol duty would be easiest. Wanna hit the Town? Maybe we can look for that playground and use working as an excuse?" He felt like he should be trying to work back towards his peak. Not working out and training for a week made him feel like he'd slipped behind.

"Or hardly working." She replied back with a grin, removing the glasses off her nose after he pushed them up. She set them down gently on the table, scooting them towards the back. She also flipped the little light off with another hand motion to the side.

"Just doing nerdy science things, on top of making myself a schedule." She was someone whom for the first week or so needed a schedule. After that she would easily remember things, and be fine. Until then though, it was a schedule written.

P=At his words she was doubtful, and gave him a 'uh huh' look. Pushing herself up out of the chair she ttalked over and, without warning, lifted his shirt. Call it forward, but she had already been changing the bandage for him a few times. Looking down at the wound, she could not help but agree with its... lack of normal healing time. usually stuff like this took literal weeks. "What is this magic...Oh wait." This whole place was magic.

"The heck was in those pills you took?" Everything she knew about healing times in modern medicine was just thrown out the door. It was unnerving... but she had to admit, she wanted to see if his 'ok' status backed up with how he reacted.

And maybe she wanted to sit on a swing.

Lowering his shirt she let go of it and nodded at him. "Well might as well test to see how well you hold up." To make it look authentic even she grabbed her sleeveless coat from the back of her chair and pulled it on.

"Cripples first." She grinned, and opened the door for him. Cripple was a bit of a overstatement now, but hey she can tease if she felt like it.

"Aren't you the doctory person? You're supposed to tell me what was in those pills.." Bix was pink from her just ripping his shirt up but he was beginning to get used to Ceres' forward nature. It was refreshing to have someone not make a big deal of every contact and touch. Some of the girls weren't as laid back, or perhaps just a bit more sheltered.

The albino man headed into the hall, smoothing his coat a bit, while she put hers on. "So mean..." he muttered audibly about being called a cripple.

"You been down to the town yet?" he was there regularly with Gale living there now but the way could be hazardous.

She waved a hand at his retort. "Well firstly, i never finished my degree... and secondly it was more a figure of speech." It was her turn this time to be red at that. He was right about her outburst, but that did not make her any less frustrated with it. Books could only tell you so much okay.

Once outside, she pulled the door closed and with a click she made sure the thing was locked.

Because people would totally want to steal her meaningless crap, right?

"No actually, never really ended up wandering in that direction. Is it far?" Her body posture picked up at the mention of the town though, she had never been out there! This would be something new for her! Why didnt she put 2+2 together before now was a mystery, he HAD mentioned wanting to look for the school. Where else would the school be but in the town!

"Not far.. 5-10 minute walk?" Bix stuffed his hands into his pocket. He didn't thhink they would need their weapons, not during the height of the day, but he would be ready despite his relaxed look. When they got to the door he held it open and motioned down a different path that wound away from the main buildings. It was a bit of an incline, and as the path continued on the mist seemed to get tighter and denser.

"I'm sure you don't need to hear it from me," His expression was alert, not looking at Ceres even though he was talking to her, his eyes darted carefully over the swirling fog. "the fog can be tricky sometimes."

The path continued until outlines of buildings cropped up on the sides of the road. Most were ruined, what was left of houses and a few small shops. A bigger one to the left was the school. it was simply a large box of a building with chained metal doors. The gym had external access but usually the hunters would portal straight inside.

"That's the school.." His voice was lower as shapes swirled in the mist. "We can look around there maybe."

The female followed closely behind him, not only due to not wanting to get lost but also because.. part of her was actually scared of how THICK this stuff was. Not that she would ever admit that out loud, but it was thick and made it hard to see in every direction. Her own guard was up, trying to be prepared if the unexpected happened.

As the pathway continued she found herself STILL not certain of things. The fear was threading through her mind, and it was enough to cause her to stand right next to Bix, and grab his arm as they walked. She did not fear touch, but she did fear small spaces, and this mist was making her feel really really small.

As the buildings came in to her sight she felt less and less claustrophobic, something was out there. Something solid!

"Why is this mist so thick... its never this bad further down." She spotted the school too, dragging him over towards it to try and get a better look. If they actually found something it would be worth the trip!

"Not as much activity around here." Bix glanced down at her clinging and smirked, but went right back to being hyper aware. "Less people moving around the easier it is for the fog to roll in. More fog, more likelihood for creepy crawlies."

It often gave him remembrances of Insanity if he came here alone, walking to Gale's house. Whispers behind him or something moving out of the corner of his eye. It was a bit disconcerting but not as much of a worry when he was with company.

"I hate this school.. " He muttered, suddenly looking a bit disturbed. "Let's not go in, alright?" He seemed to know what was inside and not want to deal with it.

At the word 'creepie crawlies' she clutched at his arm just a little tighter, something that she knew he would notice and probably tease her for later. She would promptly deny EVERYTHING and pretend nothing happened.

Yes.

"Now i understand why only hunters live up here." They could take care of themselves. She followed his eye direction though, looking up at the school with a frown. "Why? Something bad inside there?" She was too damn curious to not ask, he set the bait and she took it.

"Not something bad.. but something bad happened in there." The school was close and thankfully the more condensed the buildings the less mist drifted between them. Every set of metal doors had a chain on it and every window was dark or broken. He didn't go near but there was some sort of smaller building to their right. They walked between them.

There was only a silence for a second, an extended second where it seemed he wouldn't bite, but Bix was good at spilling his guts. As long as the stories were his own he had no problem sharing. "During my trials we were in there. In the Gym. Do you know about the Control Pendants?"

He didn't wait more than a breath before continuing. "There's blue ones and red ones. The person with the red controls the one with the blue. Well Dr. H made us... made us kill each other."

Were those the doors right there? The ones he'd escaped through?

"I got out with someone else but... everyone else died." And if he got out than he must have killed.

He had and he didn't even remember who it was. Some nameless gas mask.

His trials were a long time ago she was guessing, so the fact that this place still effected him this much was all that really needed saying. Something really really bad must have happened here.

The girl stayed silent as he continued the story, telling by the emotions behind the words that it really was still plaguing him. The only part of the story that did not register as 'shocking' to her, was the name of the person behind it all. She knew from first hand experience that Dr H was a masochist, enjoying nothing more than causing others pain. He probably got off of it, not that she really wanted to think about that.

The man really did scare her.

"You did what you had to do at the time." Ceres chimed up once it seemed he was done talking. In a attempt to comfort him she let go of his arm, and instead reached around him and hugged the man firmly to her side. It must have taken him a whole lot to dare and return to this place, if even just to look to see if they had a playground. She felt a twinge of guilt and hoped that just maybe they would find something here that would make better memories for him here. She let go of him after a moment, choosing to walk beside him now. The mist was less dense here, but another thought was HE was the one whom was scared more than her right now, what right did she have to cling?

"Lets look around back."

Bix took the hug with a tiny wince but just smiled after. He didn't need to comment on what happened in the gym. It was over a year ago now. He just hadn't been back here since. Bix snagged his arm around her shoulders and pulled her against him. It would have been a smooth, arm-around-a-girl move except he used it as an opportunity to send a few tickles her way with his other hand.

"We all have baggage. I always seem to have some depressing story for you. Next time just poke me in my stitches and tell me to stop being emo." Then suddenly he was walking with his arm around her shoulders for a moment. As soon as he realized he sort of dropped it, turning pink and looking ahead. He focused on their quest.

"I.. uh think theres another building back here." Bix hurried a few steps and peeked. The mist was lessened and there, indeed, was a building. It was wide open and had a lot of glass windows. About the size of a football field.

"I think it's a pool...?"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 09, 2012 4:07 pm

For a moment she was content, not really willing to say much... and then the tickling began. Cue her auto defense mechanism, which this time involved a subtle shove as she pulled herself away, looking frustrated, "I keep forgetting you seem to enjoy tickling me!" She wouldn't step close to him for a little while then, comforting hugs be damned!

"Hey i asked, besides you went out of your way to come here when we were looking for something childish i was curious about." She did not really mind the stories, she just ended up feeling bad for him more often than not. Past was the past but, the scars they left made them who they were today.

"... A POOL?" Ceres deviated off, clearly curious now about how they had a 'magical pool' that no one knew about? Or she at least never heard of it.

Mirage in the mist maybe?

"I didn't know we had a pool here." She couldn't help it, she went inside the building with the glass to see if it really was a pool or not. To her surprise, it really was one!"...No wonder, its in deplorable shape."

"Deplorable?" Bix's boots crunched on broken glass. "Looks like s**t I think is the right phrase."

He walked to the edge and peered in. It was totally empty, broken glass and leaves scattered all over the bottom. A few puddles. The pool wasn't olympic sized but it went up to 12' and had a small diving board.

"You think the equipment is intact? I mean we could clean this and fill it up but these sorts of pools have pumps and stuff." There was room at the end of the building with a broken hinged door with some sort of warning sign on it.

"More importanly.. do we want to swim here?" He laughed. "Trek through the fog to.. swim.. in the fog?"
