I. Introduction

A. Hello

My name is Chromo, and I will be your English teacher. I started learning languages in my Freshman year of high school (when I was around thirteen years old). I've been interested in languages ever since. I'm currently a French, Spanish, and Latin student, but I hope to learn so many more, including some offered here. I am especially looking forward to learning more Latin. This guild has an excellent teacher, and you should check out his Latin thread when you get a chance.

B. About These Lessons

This thread is designed for those that speak a different language and are wishing to learn English. You don't need to know any English coming in. However, I will warn you. This thread isn't designed for those that wish to memorize a few phrases and start speaking quickly. This thread is for those that wish to learn the actual language, grammar and all.

II. Resources

A. Dictionaries

WordReference

B. Google Translate

I am strongly advising against using Google Translate. In fact, I'm telling you that if you use it, I will cry myself to sleep at night. And I'm not kidding about the last part. It butchers everything that it touches. I can smell Google Translate from a mile away, so please don't use it.
