Plain and simple, the town of Eaglecrest Falls lies in rural Montana. It's a sparsely inhabited town, with a population of hardly one hundred. The nearest school lies miles away, and the closest large city is a good hour drive. In the town, there's an inn, a cafe, a general store, the town square and a forest surrounding the it, with a lake nearby. In this small area, it rains often and little goes on. Until, one September day, odd door-like openings begin to appear in the town square. These odd openings are portals; from other worlds. Strange people come through these portals and into the small town of Eaglecrest Falls. How will the inhabitants of the town -- the "townies" -- react to these new people -- these "outsiders"?
