Manaloa'mini was on the hunt for a specific gray colored leopard who she knew but didn't truly know. It made sense in her head so she didn't try to analyze that thought. Chan, as she had dubbed the leopardess, had a very unique name. It was not one she had ever heard before. Chan was also a very quiet one. So Mini had a hard time really figuring her out.

As the Aliʻi, she felt it was her duty to know her people. Since they were few in number, it wasn't hard for her to find time to greet every single member. She rather liked getting to know and understand them. Her mother had taught her that to keep the clan happy, one had to know what the commoners wanted. Keeping them happy also meant a tighter knit clan to her. So her eyes scanned along the borders of their land for Chan.
