Koko sat alone along the shoreline of the massive lake. Her eyes seemed glazed over in thought. Tiny baby fish swam around her paws that sat in the shallow water, they knew she was not a danger to them. At the moment, her mind was on something she had often thought about, babies. She was at the prime age to have cubs, still young and at an age where she could have many litters if she chose to. It would be the greatest gift she could think of to repay Aliʻi Mini for taking her in.

It was slowly becoming a goal to have a litter. The real question was who to have the cubs with. She really didn't want to just have it with a random rogue who happened to pass through and had dark colors. No, she wanted the father to be around for the cubs. Unfortunately, she didn't have much options in terms of males.

User Image Anga walked through the grass leading to the lake. His day has been pretty awesome so far. He woke up and then laid around for couple hours, went fishin' for a bit, and then returned to laying around on a sunny patch the rest of the day. Yeah, he was content and enjoyed his new home. Everything just seemed to fit nicely. Most of his time was spent sleeping (hey, he wasn't lazy...just...economical with his energy) and fishing. A good splash in the water always helped relaxed him. Of course, eating was pretty sweet too.

As he came into view of the lake, he spotted Koko sitting along the water's edge. Anga went to call out a greeting, but paused as he noticed that she was in deep thought. It was obvious something was on her mind. That's not good for a lion, spending too much time thinkin' about stuff. No, Anga would have to fix that. A grin sneaked its way on his face as he quickly padded up next to her. Then he flung himself, rather dramatically, down towards the water causing it to splash a little on Koko. He didn't want her to get soaked, just enough to get her attention. He swung his head towards her and said, "You know, it's unhealthy to think too much." His lower body was in the shallow water and he pressed his paws into the soft mud. "I would know, I'm an expert." He grinned as his paws continued to play with the mud. He really did love the feeling of watery mud in between his toes.

Blu Chalk

Koko gasped at the sudden sight of Anga. She hadn't heard him approaching, again, too caught up in thought. This habit needed to stop. When had it even started in the first place? She couldn't remember. He was actually probably right that she shouldn't think too much. It wasn't helping her and didn't get anything done. She should just go into action. The problem was that having cubs was not as easy as just wanting to and then popping them out. First she had to find a male suitable to be the father of her cubs.

She smiled at him. Being nice to Anga had been a good thing for her. Aliʻi Mini was very pleased about it. "Ah, I guess it would be." She wiggled her toes in the water. The baby fish that had been around her had scattered at the appearance of the male lion. "There is just a lot that needs to be done. I know I can help but the how is harder to figure out." She shrugged.

(Sorry for the late reply!)

A dragonfly seemed to float above the water before zipping off. Anga watched it. It would be so cool if he could fly. He'd be taring it up through the clouds. A grin tugged at his mouth. Though, only birds and the gods would fly. Humm...Anga tilted his head. He's never met a god before. Anyways, not important. He pulled his attention back to Koko.

Anga didn't mean to startle her. For once, he was going to have a serious conversation, at least he felt like it was. No worries, he couldn't take life too seriously or else he'd turn grey. His eye glanced into Koko's. "Well, maybe talking about it would help? This may come as a surprise, but I'm not super smart." He turned away to chuckle. "But I do have good listen ears. Plus, if I have experience, I can share it." He may not be the sharpest claw, but he didn't live this long being stupid.
