The garden had gotten some repairs done to it courtesy of Kristopher and Nergüi. Kristopher had repaired some of the ruined benches and had fixed one of the gazebos. Nergüi had beautified the repaired area by weeding and planting flowers. To celebrate the garden's partial revival, Blue had planned a special play date for Charis and another dream. She also had her older dreams there to have a small party of their own nearby. "Is everything set up right, Charis?" She asked looking to her youngest dream.
Charis looked at the gazebo that was currently housing a table and several chairs. On the table was a tiered treat tray that held an assortment of cookies, pastries, and finger sandwiches. Near that was a tea pot and set out were small plates and cups. "Yes." She finally replied. The tea party setting had her stamp of approval. "Who is coming again?" She asked wanting to know who she would be entertaining. She twirled her little parasol as she waited for an answer.
"A friend of mine's dream just grew and she's now your age. I thought it would be nice for you two to meet. They should be here any time now." Blue replied.

Moose hadn't expected Constance to be as excited as she was for this playdate after her incident that morning. The little girl had been terrified of being separated from Moose for any length of time, and when she found out she'd be on her own for the tea part she had panicked.
Looking at her now, Moose could scarcely believe it was the same child. It had taken some convincing to get her to this point, and now the girl was more excited just to see another dream than actually play with her. "You're going to be fine, okay?" Moose squeezed Constance's hand. "Blue said that Charis was a nice girl."
"I hope so," Constance chirped, swinging her mother's hand back and forth. She tried to stay a step behind the bigger girl as they walked around to the garden. "Because if she's not then I won't be able to talk at all."
Moose laughed. "What are you-?"
"If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all." Constance pointed out. "If she's not nice, I won't have anything to say to her. I don't want to be bad."
It wasn't too long after that that the pair found themselves in awe of the garden. The scenary was certainly more grand than anything Moose had expected, but Constance...she squeeled with excitement. "OHMYGOSH. LOOKATALLTHEFLOWERS,ANDTHAT,ANDTHAT-" After finally catching on to the fact that they weren't alone, Constance stopped her tirade to wave at another lady and- "Your dress is really pretty!" She called out to Charis.

Blue spotted the guests and waved. "Hello Moose and Constance." She called out before walking over, "I'm Blue and that one is Charis. She'll be your 'hostess'. And if you like the flowers you'll have to thank Nergui for fixing it up. Kristopher did all of the wood work though." She smiled when Charis walked over. "I'm sure you two will get along wonderfully and will have a fun time. If you need me at all I'll be right over there checking on Conan, Nergui, and Kristopher." She then walked over to where the teens were to make sure they were behaving.
Charis smiled as she walked over to her 'guest'. "Thank you." She said in her sing-song way, "Your outfit is really cute. I love your skirt!" Her little parasol twirled about as she held it so it would shade her head. She then tilted her head looking over Moose as well as Constance. "It is nice to meet you. My name is Charis. Would you like to look at the flowers more or some tea and snacks?"

"Hi Blue," Moose waved, and then turned her attention to the adorable little girl. "It's nice to meet you, Charis." Honestly, how cute was this kid? She placed a hand on Constance's shoulder,"Be good, okay? I'll be back later to get you." With a smile, she bent over to give the young dream a kiss on the forehead before leaving.
Now that all the formalities were taken care of, Constance was free to trot closer to the other. "My skirts got nothing on your outfit. You look like a princess!" Boy oh boy, had she seen plenty of princess' in her day. Even as young as she was, she'd already skimmed through all the childrens books Moose could get her hands on, and memorized the scenes by heart, even if she couldn't read. One day, Charis was going to have a handsome Prince if she kept dressing like she did.
"Snacks?" Her one true weakness. The bear child simply adored food, and as beautiful as the landscape truly was, her attention was already swallowed up by promises of sweet treats. "What kind of snacks?"

Charis smiled up at Moose. "Lovely to meet you as well." She said. She then focused on Constance and grinned. "Surely not. I do believe a princess has a more frilly and .....fuller dress than mine. Plus don't they have some sort of cone hat or crown." She commented, "Besides your outfit is much better for when you want to play. You can truly move whereas I am unable to."
She nodded when the bear dream questioned about snacks. "I have all kinds of tea time treats. Some light and tasty finger sandwiches. Some delicious pastries and cookies." She said pointing to the gazebo, "Would you like some?" She would allow Constance some leeway on the proper tea time procedure as Blue explained that Constance may not know the proper things to do and it wasn't very nice or polite to point it out (Blue didn't mention that it was due to how Charis pointed it out).

"I dunno, your dress is pretty frilly." What was that style called? The one that Moose had shown her? With all the lace... "I guess you're right, though. You would need a crown to be a Princess." Sad as it was, Charis just didn't fit the bill. How depressing.
Constance swung her legs into motion. She vaguely remembered the walk to the gazebo, and it was the treats that had her attention. They all smelled so wonderful! How could she stop herself from following the scents? "I would love some." She smiled, her grin stretching from ear to ear. "I'm not used to tea parties, though. Is there a special way to eat? Or...?" After all, with a fancy place like this, there just had to be rules. How could there not?

Charis looked down at her dress and examined it. "I guess it is pretty frilly. But no crown means no princess." She replied. She walked over to the gazebo with Constance and closed her parasol once she was under it. She set it up next to her seat and gestured for Constance to sit across from her. "There is no special way to eat the treats other than to put them on the small plate there. And to of course use your napkin." She explained, "Is there a certain kind of tea you would like? I have all different kinds!" She was very proud of her little box that held tea leaves and tea bags (although she never used those).

Constance took her place across from Charis, looping her feet around each other almost as soon as she sat down. Her ears were standing at full attention among her nest of curls. She snatched up a few treats onto her plate, paused, then grabbed a few more. After all, why not? Free food!
"Something sweet," she commented, "and with lots of honey." Constance took a bite of one of the sandwiches and moaned, shaking a little in her seat. Tasty food was the best kind of food, and this was really tasty!

Charis watched for a moment as Constance piled the treats onto her plate. She kept her face neutral but really wanted to comment that only one treat should be taken at a time. Instead she busied herself with looking through her tea box until she found the right tea. She also took out a jar of honey and placed that on the table.
Turning her attention to the tea pot she checked the temperature. It was just right for this tea. She took the small container that contained the leaves and took some out. She then went about making the tea. When it was finally done she poured at cup for Constance and herself. "I hope you like this tea. It's call Silver Needle tea and can be sweet if brewed properly." She said setting the pot down. She then passed the honey over to her guest so she could add in the desired amount of honey. She on the other hand used a small amount of sugar.

Constance ate one treat right after another. While she made sure not to act like the pig she was at the house, she also couldn't seem to help herself. It was all just too good! And as bad as her guardian hated it, she had a huge sweet tooth.
Though, she did manage to divert her attention long enough to watch Charis make the tea. It was kind of cool, and something she most definitely wasn't used to. She wiped her dirty paws off on her skirt before taking the tea. At first, she stared into the cup like it would attack her. Then, she slowly took a sip, made a little noise, and scooped a little honey into the cup. After another sip she was able to nod. "Silver Needle, right? I like it. How do you know so much about tea parties, Charis?"

Charis picked out a little finger sandwich for herself and was nibbling on that while watching Constance. She put it down when she was about half way done, dabbed her napkin at her mouth, and took a sip of tea. "Correct." She said with a smile, "There's a tea parlor in town and the nice lady who owns it teaches me. Plus I learned from watching tv and reading books." She paused for a bit to finish off her sandwich and to take a sip of tea. "If you would like we could go there some time. I'm sure she would love to teach you about teas if you are interested." She then reached out and grabbed one of the small cookies and started on that.

"That sounds really nice." Constance picked out a few more treats for herself and alternated between them and the tea. For the first time since she got there she sat back to take in the ambiance. There were just so many flowers, and the smell of the food and tea...it really was kind of soothing. "I don't know if I could learn as much as you, though. I enjoy drinking it more than I do talking about it." She laughed.
"I love to read, though. I read all the time at home. Mostly mushy stories, but that's because they have the best endings."

"Well you can learn as much as you can or want. You can also just go to have a cup of tea." Charis replied before drinking more of her tea. She smiled at how Constance loved to read. "I also like to read. Romance stories are lovely to read." She said with a wistful sigh, "I don't like to write though. Nothing I write comes out right."

"That can't be right! I'm sure if you wrote something about tea it would be really good." Constance nodded. Obviously, with Charis' more than ample knowledge on the subject, she should be able to write the best piece ever. "You can write one of those things with the big words and stuff. Like what my mom has to read." School-book? Was that it? That didn't seem quite right, though.
"You can even be the Tea Princess! Quen of the Tea land! And and and this handsome, charming Prince will ride in on a white stallion and say something really smooth like, "Hey baby, how you doin?" and then you'll faint." She said her tea cup down; a good idea considering how much jumping she was doing. "But you won't stay asleep, because he'll kiss you awake and marry you!"

Charis shook her head. Apparently there had been a miscommunication about her writing skills. "I may be able to write something good about tea. However I do not think many people would be able to read it. My letters do not come out correctly when I try writing. For instance my lower case 'e's are backwards when I write.... or so Blue says." She explained before taking a sip of tea.
She had to smile at the plot line that Constance had come up. When the little bear said 'Hey baby, how you doin?' she couldn't help but giggle. "Oh surely not something that smooth. I do believe I would blush profusely and swoon." She replied. Okay she may not actually do that for such a modern line but one can always dream!
