This is a private RP between: Zale, Firefly, Pablo, and Sully. Where: Spades, Firefly and Pablo's shop. What's happening: Having been sold a gun that was poorly constructed by Firefly, Zale returns with a fuming Sully.
He was growing tired of hearing his Guardian's yelling.
He had returned with the gun, and quickly noted never to mistrust his gut again. He was right, the gun was wrong, not only that, apparently it was very wrong. So wrong that Sully was screaming profanities, and he never did that. It might be because Sully needed to go on a mission early in the morning, and he had no weapon other than a knife. The mission required a gun. A good gun. That actually shot.
And so, here they were, Zale following after the faster Sully. Several times he had lost the man, however when Sully leapt onto a roof Zale quickly spotted him and was able to slide up back in Sully's range. When they finally reached the shop he watched his normally sweet and patient Guardian kick the door open, storm to the counter, and slam the gun down, a tack flying.
Oh. This was why Sully was an assassin.
He had never seen this side before, but Sully looked frightening. Zale slid against the wall, slumped down, folded his legs, and watched, his eyebrow raised and mouth twitching in a smirk.
"Where is the damn shop owner?! Get him the ******** out here, now! I don't have ******** time for this s**t!"
Ah. Sully was very different today. Zale found this side much more amusing.

Skyler was not tending the store now. He was sitting on a stool in the corner, nursing his sore bottom. His papa was a firm believer in spanking as a correction method. And from the tears still dribbling down Skyler's cheeks, he'd learned his lesson.
Pablo was already trying to think of how he could fix this mess his son had made. The store name was a valued one and this could ruin business for a long while.
When the door burst open, Skyler fell off his stool and trembled behind it, teeth chattering. Pablo already had his gun drawn, aimed at Sully in case he turned violent.
"I AIN'T DEAF! Take it down a notch, spark plug." He puffed his pipe, his frustration and anger angled at the little one in the corner, though he wouldn't admit that. "You must be Sully. The one my boy...helped."
He picked up the tack as it hit the wall and put it back in the board, lowering his own gun. "Now, let's see how we can fix this. You can't blame my boy..." He spoke through gritted teeth. "He's very sorry. He was just trying to help."

Snarling, Sully leaned in closer as the gun was set down, eyes hostile.
"Take it down? You tell me this when you fully acknowledge, being a part of Spades yourself, that this mistake could have killed me, actually, it would have. Not only that, ruined my mission. Thus, ruining a bunch of s**t for a bunch of ******** people. This," He jabbed his finger at the gun.
"Is not a damn joke. There is not settling down. You could have, would have ruined everything for me and others if I had not checked. And you let a boy run the shop?! A boy who uses tacks?! I was told this shop was special! I was told that this shop was responsible, and reliable. I get this for my belief." He was fuming, beyond angry, however as his eyes drifted and glared at Skyler they faltered. It was obvious his true colors were showing as he seemed to relax slowly. He was not one to frighten children. His head turned, glancing at Zale, checking to see if he had frightened his adopted son.
.....
No. Zale was watching him with his learning expression. s**t. He was learning this. He was observing and would later perform this if he needed results quickly. Ah. He would later blame himself, instead rubbing his forehead. He was stressed, this gun ordeal did not help.
"Hn. I haven't slept in days. Zale, you have the paper still, may I have it?" His voice was at least kinder, though weary and tense. Zale approached, extending his hand and handing the paper over. Sully lifted it, handing it over to Pablo.
"Thank you Zale. This is what I ordered." Sully watched tiredly as Zale headed off to view Skyler, the Treeko tilting his head and crouching down to view the Eevee.
"Why are you hiding?" He questioned. Skyler knew he was at fault, why was he hiding from his punishment? Zale was not like a normal child, he was raised to accept his punishments.

Pablo was a fierce type who would protect his family and his name to the bitter end.
"I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE GUILTY OF SENDING A CHILD. Your boy is the one who said it was fine and brought it hope. He is as much to blame as my boy. I apologize for what has happened and I will give you your gold back for it as repayment. But do not speak bad of my boy. His heart was in the right place. I left him to run the store for a moment and he just wanted to do his part and make me proud." He took the paper and glanced it over. "This doesn't look too complicated. I can make it now and have it sighted by tonight, if you don't mind waiting a little bit."
Skyler on the other hand was not calm at all. The screaming and yelling terrified him. It was all his fault and he was already extremely sensitive about his actions. Now his papa and his first customer were angry and they'd have to give back all their money. Papa had told him off about all this while he was disciplining him.
That was why Skyler was hiding behind the chair. If his papa was angry enough to hit him over this boo-boo, what would this screaming customer do to him!? He could only look at Zale and start sobbing into his dress, shaking all over.

"I'm not training my son with guns until he's a teenager! I am not letting him blow his god damn fingers off! That is why he didn't know! Silence was followed. Both men were protective of there kids, Sully almost seized Zale up and took his order somewhere else, however stayed put.
"Fine. I need it by the morning, that is when I leave." He rubbed the spot between his eyes, grimacing as he turned to view Zale and Firefly. Ah s**t, look what he did. Sighing, he merely kneeled down, extending his hand and revealing a candy.
"Look, I'm mad. I am. What you did was dangerous. But, I'm more angry with your father than you. Here. Next time, just wait. I have no intention of harming you." He handed the candy to Zale, knowing Firefly was distressed about him in general. Standing, the male glanced at the guns on the wall, sighing.
"If you can make a gun that looks like one of these and functions properly, Zale will buy it. Your first gun." He turned, eying Zale as the boy handed the candy to Firefly, his head raising.
"I will?" "Yes. Until then, please, please please please let your father do the building."

Pablo was about to fight back, but shook it off. "Knife ain't gunna do s**t against someone with a gun. They won't hold back because he's a kid." He puffed his pipe again, already working on the assembly of the weapon, screwing this to that and popping this on here- only his strong, calloused old hands knew what they were doing.
Pablo glanced up as the other knelt and showed off a candy. "He ain't a dog." he muttered as he lined the trigger up to the release.
Skyler eyed the other with distrust, tears spilling off his face. He blew his nose into his skirt and looked at the candy, teeth chattering a bit.
His ears perked at the offer though and he glanced at Zale, then gave a small nod, a large lump in his throat. "okay."

"He isn't a dog, you are correct. It is better to keep at eye level when you frighten someone you wish not to, and the offering is simply a present most children enjoy. It is basic comforting skills. And yes, but Zale is not going on missions until he is a teenager." Sully grumbled, having heard Pablo.
He settled down, folding his legs. Zale watched Skyler, nodding before pressing the candy into Skyler's hand, not wanting to hold it anymore. Apparently he was buying Skyler's first gun, he only hoped it wasn't like the one the boy had made previously....
Sitting down as well, he noticed the boy had blown his nose on his skirt. Quietly, he fetched his handkerchief that Henrik had handed him, holding it out for Skyler.

"Don't talk down to my son." Pablo muttered, turning a few screws into the flat end of the gun and affixing a trigger inside it. "Do you want this part in brown or camo?" He asked though a mouthful of pip.
Skyler took the candy and sniffled, trying it. It was good. But when the other gave him his kerchief, he blew his nose a few more times into it. "T-thank you." He whimpered.
The bell chimed again and Pablo looked up as a fierce looking salamence stepped into the shop. "One moment, please, sir." Pablo said to the Salamence. "Skyler, go into the back room please."
Skyler got up, tears almost dissipating as he grabbed Zale's hand and tugged him into the back room. It was a cue for him to get out of the way or that this was a dangerous customer.

"I wasn't." If comforting was considered talking down, well, Sully was sorry for the boy. Shaking his head, he glanced upwards, eyes flicking over the current state of the gun before replying. "Camo." He responded with, eyes flicking upwards as he tensed, hand reaching closer towards his dagger when a new customer entered.
It was when Skyler took his child away that he became even further tense, standing. He didn't like that Zale was being taken into the back room, for he did not know Pablo or his house much. However, he kept quiet when the customer walked in, casually glancing towards the guns.
"Why are you taking me away?" Zale questioned lowly, allowing the tug only when he met eyes with Sully and his Guardian nodded. When they were in the back room he let go of Skyler's hand, settling right beside the door.

Skyler put a finger to his lips. "Papa knows that man. He comes in here a lot asking for money for something called....spent?" spent was a money term! "He wants the monthly spent and he comes in here and yells at my papa when we don't have it. And one time..." He shivered. "He grabbed me and said something about my safety. And since, Papa's not let me talk to him."
The salamence ignored Pablo and went right to the counter. "Listen, old timer, your rent is due! Where is it, huh!?" Pablo remained calm. "There was an accident and i had to give one of my customers a discount for a shoddy gun. I will not have your rent until closing time tomorrow. If you could-" "HOW ABOUT I FLIP THIS PLACE UPSIDE DOWN UNTIL I FIND SOME MONEY, HUH!?"

His eyes flashed the second the customer sauntered over to Pablo, hand gripping his knife tightly, his other hand moving for his gun. The man was aggressive, and while it was clear Sully did not favor Pablo he also did not hate the man. Not only this, but the man had a child, and there were children in the shop. Children that could be harmed.
He listened quietly as Pablo spoke, releasing his knife back into its hiding pouch. Quickly, he scooped up his bag of money. He had plenty, he decided, and not all of it was with him. He never carried all of his money, instead he liked to scatter it about. Watching Pablo, he decided that perhaps he could do a favor. Murdering a man in cold blood would probably only worsen Pablo's obvious problems.
"The customer was satisfied with the new gun, however. I was told to give you this." With that, he dropped the bag onto the counter, not only paying what the gun would have previously costed but enough for a second one. Perhaps a third, though Sully wasn't going to count at this particular moment,
"Kill him." Zale bluntly spat out, watching Skyler. It was that simple, kill the problem. However, it seemed that the type to go about killing their issues.

Pablo's face visibly soured as the other bailed him out. That was not honest work for honest pay. He did not like accepting charity, but he was in a pickle here... The salamence grabbed the bag before the other could protest.
"Well, you're might lucky, Pablo. You get to keep this dump open a bit longer." He chuckled, scratching his own grizzly beard. "You say hi to the little one, okay?" And with that, he stormed out.
Pablo was white knuckled, steaming. "Don't ever do that again." He hissed, in place of thank you.
Skyler whimpered and played with his tail. "N-no...i can't. I couldn't..." His lip quivered.

"I shouldn't have to again, should I?" Sully quickly retorted, a familiar smile on his lips. However, he still was tense from before, head turning briefly. "And I do not care if you dislike help, if I find out that man hurt your son I promise you I will murder him, and take his egg into the deepest hole so when he returns he will never leave."
"Then one day, I will kill him." Zale's voice was blunt, and clearly serious. He was not kidding, yellow eyes viewing Skyler quietly. Apparently, the boy was likable enough for Zale. Skyler was a Spades member, and much like Amias he was allowed to be Zale's friend. He was.... allowed to be Zale's friend.
"Here. Come here if you need me." Zale fished out paper, hurriedly grabbing a pen from the room and writing down their address. Nodding, he shoved it into the others hands, turned, and headed to find his Guardian once he was sure the noise was done.
So, for the rest of the night Sully actually acted kinder towards Pablo, and Zale sat quietly, awkwardly in his corner, as if embarrassed by his recent show of.... of affection? He hadn't shown that since... since Malo and Briar.
Sully and Zale quickly vanished the second the gun was done, leaving quieter than they entered.

Skyler frowned as the paper was shoved in his hand. In almost unison, they said to their respective conversational partners. "No, its fine, don't worry about it."
Skyler watched his papa work for the rest of the night, putting the paper in his pocket and kicking his legs on the little stool, happy the scary salamence was gone.
Once his guests had left, Skyler and Pablo closed up shop and went home. Driving down the long cobblestone street in their little car.
"Papa?" "Mhmm?" "Why does that man keep coming back." "Don't worry about it...go to sleep, Skyler." Skyler frowned, but curled up on the chair he was in. "Dream on, my little one. You will see better days sometime." He stroked the other's back as they pulled into their house.
