transforms into cotton candy!

Tilly can aim this ability to another spell cast towards only herself, for herself.
She can use this to either double the strength of a spell on herself or to
completely block a spell.

Tilly throws her batons up into the air, and following them are streams of
sparkling sugar that concentrate into numerous six-pointed star flake
candies. After they concentrate, Tilly retrieves her batons and points it toward
the enemy, where they explode around them in dazzling light and impairs
their vision.

The enemy is unable to take any action the next Round.

Personality: Tilly is an average girl. She gets average marks in school, despite being at such a splendid academy, she is average (and sometimes below average) at sports, and her efforts in the various arts have yielded nothing above average. Despite her mediocrity, she truly works hard at everything she does. And despite what many would consider a flood of failures, she doesn't seem to allow such to get her down. She keeps a pleasant smile on her face and vows with all sincerity to do better next time.

Tilly dreams of becoming a picture perfect little lady and wife someday, one who is able to cook, clean, sew, and take care of a household all by herself. She has a strong opinion as to what a "lady" is, due to her family having somewhat high standards. Tilly is the girl who minds her manners and shows respect to all, as a proper young lady should. There is a problem however. Tilly's cooking tastes atrocious, when she cleans, it looks almost worse than when she started, and her sewing results in all band aids on her fingers and no recognizable final product. Despite all of her efforts, she just has no natural knack for the homemaker lifestyle.

Unfortunately, Tilly is very aware of her own mediocrity, and when confronted with someone who might excel in one area or another, Tilly has a tendency to get jealous. She is soft spoken, but that is because a young lady does not speak too loudly. She is prone to sulking in thought and trying her hardest to do better than the current source of her envy (and inevitably failing at such efforts), but she makes an effort to not be obnoxious or snub whoever has made her jealous this time (A young lady does not act catty around others). Even amidst the envy, Tilly is the sort who likes to have lots of friends and tries to be friendly with all. Sometimes her desire to have friends can blindside her. She can be quite gullible, believing what others say before trying to think things through for herself. This has led to many rumors and hurt feelings in the past, but Tilly doesn't seem able to change how she works to prevent being taken advantage of. Tilly can also easily be called the "naive rich girl." Tilly isn't necessarily able to understand some of the hardships others go through. Where as Tilly does have the desire to try to understand others, but she tends to be unable to step out of her own shoes and put on the shoes of others. It isn't that she completely lacks empathy, but has a hard time putting herself in those other hypothetical situations.

As an interesting note, Tilly has always had a sweet tooth. However, when things don't go her way, if she is stressed or upset or sad, her coping mechanism is eating whatever pastries she can get her hands on. She can be quite generous, even with pastries, but when life is getting her down, the one thing she can always count on to make her feel better are pastries.

Despite her many flaws, Tilly easily comes across as a sweet, polite girl who tries her hardest at everything she does. She is not the sort who stands out, but rather seems to blend in with all the other faces in the crowd. She can't help it. She's just average.

Appearance: Due to her Swedish heritage, Tilly has pale blonde hair that goes down to her mid-back, usually tied up in a ponytail of some sort. Her eyes are very similar in color. She stands at 5'1", and though a true lady never reveals her weight, she looks as if she does have a couple extra pounds at her belly (due to years of enjoying pastries). She is still growing into a young lady, but already seems to enjoy dressing the part of a young lady. She prefers wearing dresses and frills and stockings and hints of make-up. Even in her casual-wear, she sometimes just looks a bit formal due to her choice in clothing.

History: Henry and Elsa's romance was not of an uncommon variety. Elsa, the secretary, married her boss, Henry Carlsson. It made sense, since the two spent so much time together due to work, and fell in love after all of that time.

After getting married, Elsa and Henry continued to work together until Elsa managed to find herself with a bun in the oven. After their baby girl had been born, Henry insisted that Elsa stay home with their daughter to raise her. Elsa quite easily fit herself into the mold of a housewife.

Henry found himself busier and busier with work, which made Elsa the primary parent for little Tilly to idolize. The child wanted to be just like her mother, wanting to learn how to sew, cook, and clean as well as her mother could. In her early life, Tilly was taught by Elsa about all of the different aspects of housework and manners. The only thing that ever seemed to stick were the manners.

Once Tilly started going to school, she started meeting all sorts of different kids who were all good at different things. While she, herself, was not good at anything. Frequently, the girl found herself taking up new activities to match her classmates, putting her whole heart into each new activity, only to find herself falling short every time.

Unfortunately, the child's efforts didn't go unnoticed. Her peers started to notice that she was a copycat, and a bad one at that! Some would tease her, but Tilly kept quiet and smiling as if nothing was bothering her. Even when she got home, she wouldn't tell her mother, instead just going to the kitchen and pulling out the most recently made baked goods and chowing down. At certain points, teachers would get involved, but many times they would pin the blame on Tilly for "copying" the other kids. There were parent-teacher conferences to deal with the problems, but Tilly wouldn't open up as to why she kept mimicking her peers (in all honesty, she didn't understand why she did it either).

Eventually everyone in Tilly's life just got used to her. Peers and friends would just ignore how blatantly Tilly attempted to copy them, since she never did any better than them. Teachers stopped reporting any of Tilly's antics, since she was going to stay at Rosaline Academy because her Father continued to pay for it. Even Elsa seemed less inclined to work with her daughter on improving her lacking skills. The girl soon enough found herself spending most of her free time trying to figure out how to get better at anything.

Tilly was just average, blending into the world around her. There was nothing special about her. Nothing special at all.

Family:

Henry Carlsson (Father, 42) ~ Henry has been working in the architecture industry for close to 20 years. His work has managed to afford his family a rather comfortable lifestyle, but at the cost of frequently not being a part of it. He is kept busy due to the constant demands of work. He adores his family, though many times his love comes across more like that of a pet owner with two expensive pets than a father or husband. He gets to see his family every Tuesday and Thursday at breakfast, and eagerly tries to take in all the details in from their day-to-day lives, but being only human, he can only manage to remember so much. It isn't unheard of for him to forget a birthday every now and again.

Elsa Carlsson (Mother, 37) ~ Once upon a time, Elsa was a secretary. However, due to her husband's career, Elsa has had a relatively comfortable lifestyle, being able to live as a homemaker. She is a strong influence to Tilly's perception of what a young lady should be, since she is a living embodiment of it. She is good at cooking, cleaning, sewing, and seems to practice patience on a daily basis. At one point, she used to try and help her daughter learn all of the important skills of a housewife, but after many a failure, she has slowly and surely ceased in such efforts. Elsa has a strange balance of a lack of involvement and being quite involved with her daughter's life. She will continually be the involved parent when it comes to school functions, but she has seemed to grow quite disinterested in her daughter at home, frequently using the excuse that she has a headache as to why she cannot assist Tilly in any sewing or cooking lessons. Elsa does not keep Tilly on a tight leash, partially because of a lack of interest, but also because she has faith that her daughter is a "good girl" and won't take advantage of such freedoms.

Desires: Tilly wants to become above average, even good at something in life. She is tired of being average at everything, despite all of her efforts. She keeps putting forth the effort, and yet she has not bore any fruits from her labor. She wants to be the center of attention and to get the recognition she deserves after all of this time.

Emblem: asterism.

Weapon: Marching Batons - Frequently tossed at the opponent in a spinning, attention grabbing manner. The weapons come back to her after hitting their mark. Initial use will lack in accuracy, but with more practice more accuracy will be gained.

Type of Magic: Her desire to sparkle at something has made it so Tilly's magic also sparkles. She summons handfuls of star flake candies that have six points (like her emblem). Throwing it at the opponent, the candies then create a sparkling light bright enough to temporarily impair the opponent's vision. Though she'd be a relatively average Puella Magi, her magic would sparkle and dazzle the opponents. Later abilities could incorporate different sorts of candies and sweets (Ribbon candy, bon bons, Candy kisses, etc.) and varying dazzling moves (brief stunning, opponent is only able to focus on Tilly for short periods of time, etc.), making Tilly more of a diversion than a true threat to any Witches.
