 The afternoon was heading into that period of too-hot-to-want-to-forage-around so Pairidaeza sought shelter resting on cool stone, shaded by an overhang of rock. It wasn't a proper cave, but it made for a lovely resting spot, and even had the advantage of a nice line of sight out to see any creatures or fellow kilen that might wander by. If they were silly enough to be out and about at the moment, that was. It wasn't long at all before she saw her blue and purple friend passing through. "Karime!" The exclamation was both excited-to-see-her and also commanding. She couldn't just keep walking! Obviously she should come have a lay down, and the girls could get to exchanging the most valuable of things a kilen could: information.

 It was true, the current heat of the day left much to be desired. However, that only motivated Karime to travel further to find the nice, cool, shady spot that she had stumbled upon the other day. She knew it was around here somewhere..."Karime!"Oh hey! There it was! And it seemed that her friend had already managed to find it as well. "Pairi~!" the multi-colored kilen greeted back cheerfully, trotting over to join her. "I haven't seen you in so long now. Looks like you've been making good use of the shade though. Mind if I join you?" Surely the stone was more than large enough to accommodate the both of them, right? And she did so want to get out of the sun right now...

"Not at all~ Go on, make yourself comfortable," Pairi offered, budging over a bit to make more room for her friend. "How has your day been~? Find anything interesting?" She, of course, had news of her own she'd like to pass on, but it was polite to lead in with pleasantries. There was no need to rush these things! "There were some perfectly ripe berries in a bush nearby, did you find those? If not, they're worth a nibble later~"

"Ah, berries? That does sound rather nice," Karime agreed. "I'll have to check those out later." The mare took a moment to seat herself in the cool comfort of the shade before continuing. "My day has been fairly pleasant. Not much of interest to report, really, but certainly nothing gone wrong either. It's better now though, of course, with such pleasant company," she replied with a smile. "What of your day? Have you been enjoying this shade the whole time?" Of course, she didn't doubt that the other might have something more interesting to share than simply reports of the weather. She had that look to her, a certain contained eagerness that Karime rather wouldn't mind hearing more about. It was always nice to hear a good bit of news.

"Hehe, not the whole time, no. I hadn't been settled here very long at all when you came by~" Even though she and Karime kept to themselves quite a bit, like a lot of the other kilen around here, it was still nice to run across one another and have little chats like these at happenstance. It would be so terribly lonely to not see her own kind very often... Speaking of which. "Today has been quiet, but a few days ago...I met a very interesting male~" Certainly the boldness of his fur's contrast had been the most eye-catching part, but it was really the whole encounter she was tagging as 'interesting'.

"Oh~?" she replied, interest sucessfully piqued. "Well do tell me more about him then. Was he nice? How'd you meet?" And what overall made this mystery male so 'interesting'? Details please, she'd rather like to hear more. Had something unusual happened during this encounter?
