~::Tachibana-Hakushaku Southern Honshu Estate::~

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Though their traditional main estate is located in the Northwestern section of Kyushu, the different clans of the Tachibana-Hakushaku Demon Alliance have estates which range throughout the different regions of the country from Kyushu to Shikoku to Northern and Southern Honshu. Occupied by the different guardians of the regions for the Taihaku Clan, when necessary, the Main Clan can relocate to an estate for however long the duration of a particular mission may be, and in the most dire of circumstances (the loss of their traditional home), they can make a permanent residence out of any of their vast estates with the blessing of the estate's guardians. Each estate is massive, capable of housing a hundred Taihaku Clan Heads at any given time should the need arise, though they tend to only house the Head of the Clan, his entourage, and the guardians watching over it at any given time. Complete with an open-air bath, large meeting rooms, regular deliveries of Western delicacies, and other necessities, even the Head of the Tachibana-Hakushaku Alliance never feels out of place here.

Here is the Clan Headquarters for the Southern portion of the mainland, Honshu, which is set on the borders of the Iwatodai Area. This is the closest Taihaku Estate to the capital in Tokyo; currently it houses even the Head of the Main Branch so that orders can be distributed in the most timely fashion between the new Shogun and his loyal allies. Seo Taihaku, the current head of the clan, is particularly fond of this location for its proximity to the country's richest cultural centers.

Kyuzo Rikkio

The brown haired northerner entered the front room of the strange hideout, his movement sluggish from days of wandering. The red lines in his eyes showed how tired he was from days of searching for his own apartment, and he nearly stumbled as he yawned, before shaking his head...he could rest when he made it back to Sapporo. Finally, he glanced around the room, a strange decorum for a Japanese home when the seasons were just turning to Autumn, but somehow it seemed like a peaceful place, and he smiled instead. "Ah...I'm home..." And then he collapsed onto the rug covering the front room of the Tachibana Estate, exhaustion finally catching up to the map-deprived man. His stomach growled from his place on the floor, a sign of the reason for his collapse, but otherwise it seemed like allowing Kyuzo to rest for now might be a better idea...or, instead letting him lay there a little longer might be just the time needed for his soul to leave his body from starvation. Either or.

Shiranui Amaterasu- Iyokono Taihaku

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"The mostly nameless gods are worn out today too~. Their lower backs are stiff and their knees are crooked. Their long-time hearts desire is a relaxation of three days and two nights. They come all the way to the bathhouse in the neighboring world~. But no matter-!" Shiranui was happily singing as she walked through the estate, an old song she was taught by her mother some time ago. It was a tune she was prone to singing when she was in an especially good mood. Though the okami had to stop when she saw an.. unexpected visitor. A human in the estate for demons! What an odd result of fate. "The poor thing looks exhausted.. And starving by the sounds of it." Shiranui walked over to pick Kyuzo up, surprisingly, and carried him to a spare room. There was no way she could leave a guest sleeping on the floor! The demoness had a duty to show great hospitality!

"Hmm.. I bet some hearty soup will fix him right up." Shiranui chimed to herself as she made sure Kyuzo was all tucked in bed.

Kyuzo Rikkio

"Ah...where am...?" Kyuzo raised his head lazily, glancing around the room. This wasn't his place in Sapporo...? Spotting the person who'd given him a place to lay down, Kyuzo could feel a sense of gratitude sinking it. "...ah....thank you." Kyuzo glanced over at his bag along the side, sticking his hand out towards it. "...ch...ch...cha..." It was clear he was reaching for something, perhaps an offering or gift to his host for having looked after him for...several minutes, at least, though he wasn't really sure how long yet. It could have been a Sapporo item...or something to fight off the cold...like a hot dish, or a chawmanu-"...chocolate?" Kyuzo reached into his bag, pulling out a couple of items from Sapporo. They were unique Sapporo chocolate products, produced in the famous chocolate factory in the city, and thus more of a souvenir item than anything else...but the gift was something.

Shiranui Amaterasu- Iyokono Taihaku

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Shiranui watched Kyuzo dig through his bag with a great sense of curiosity. Her ears flickered as she looked at the assorted chocolate products. They all smelled good and.. he was offering her some? "How generous of you! You didn't need to repay me but it would be rude to decline it." The demoness picked up one the chocolate treats and got a closer look at it. She hadn't been to this Sapporo place but this chocolate was rather unique! The Okami decided she would keep it, not devour the tasty morsel. So for now she placed it on a table nearby for safe keeping. "Since you are awake I can ask you an important question.. What would you like to eat? Your stomach sounds just as loud as Nora's when he forgets to eat." Speaking of her fellow demons, Shiranui couldn't wait to tell them about this kind human! No doubt they would be fascinated.

Kyuzo Rikkio

"...sorry." Kyuzo slowly sat up, before looking around the room one more time. He was grateful, but he was also the type to avoid getting indebted to someone easily, since he also had a tendency of paying it back en-masse. The App User slowly slid his legs to the side of the bed, grabbing his bag so that he could make for a relatively quick escape. "...I shouldn't...impose..." Kyuzo began to stand up, but in a jiffy his empty stomach and his attempt at a quick departure combined for a double-whammy of lightheadedness, and in an instant he had stumbled back onto the bed. "Ah...thanks, by the way." He didn't know if it was obvious, but this was the second time he'd apologized for intruding. Although this time, he was also trying to draw attention away from his stumble, which perhaps he could pass off as just that; a matter of placing his foot in the wrong place. "I can...afford some food, if there's a McRonalds nearby..." Ah, the wonders of dodging copyright-infringement, and simultaneously revealing that he thought surviving on fast food was possible. What kind of budget was he on exactly...?

Well, you know, none. It's in his profile. The man was just kicked out of an orphanage for being too darn old, it's not like he's got savings to fall back on. Come ooon, you should know this already, people!

Shiranui Amaterasu- Iyokono Taihaku

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Watching the man try to leave, only to fall back down on the bed, made Shiranui sigh and shake her head. "You need to stay in bed. You are in no condition to be moving about.. We have plenty of food here! Sooo~." The okami moved closer to put the covers back over Kyuzo. The woman knew that if she left him alone he would just try leave again.. Her ears flickered with excitement when she got an idea. The demon walked to the door and looked around. "Rorek?.. Roooorek, are you here? I need you to keep an eye on our guest while I cook up some food!" Surely Viral wouldn't mind keeping an eye on their human guest right? It was only common courtesy after all.

"Alright, Alright...I'm coming." a voice came from another room. He'd been busy with something else, but heard her calling for help watching over the human. As he slid into the room, Kyuzo would notice that his features softened considerably as he looked at Shiranui....Though his mouth full of teeth could be seen in a flash, as he gave a neutral expression, glancing over Kyuzo.
"You heard her...Relax, Human." he snapped quietly, glancing down. "I don't wanna hafta smash your legs and force you to relax..."
A few seconds later, enough time for the words to sink in, before he raised a hand.
"I was kidding." he added quickly, giving an unintentional glare at him. "What brings a Human like you all the way out here, anyways?"

Ebiro Uyahara
"Even the greatest of legends can be felled by the smallest of tragedies..."

As he had finally reached the entrance of the hideout, Ebiro took quick glances around to make sure that he had a good understanding of his surroundings. He wanted to make sure that he had gone the correct direction. He might not be as waywardly lost as others claimed he was, as well as other people, but he was still known for some bouts of confusion. As he sighed, he decided that here would be his shelter for the time being. Entering the room of the hideout, he gave caution to everything that was around him. You could never know when something could strike. And with that, he sighed. "Lets hope that my sense of direction has sent me to the right place." Ebiro spoke to himself as he tried to stop being so nervous of the surroundings. He needed to straighten up.

"And yet, even the smallest of persons can recover from the greatest tragedies."

San Viral-Taihaku

What a mess this turned out to be.. San lost sight of Narue and had no idea where she was! That Aeon must've had something to do with this! His magic was questionable to begin with and now both he and her dearest friend were gone. The Viral descendant found herself at a familiar location as she made her way through the surrounding forests. San wasted no time in leaping upwards to scale the wall, crouching on the top of it. A hand rose up to push the half-mask to the top of her head to get a better view of the nostalgic sight. Her home before it became tainted, the happy memories she had of this place played in her mind.. Those times seemed so far away now but here she was, in the past before the tragedy struck. Maybe Narue found her way back home? One could only hope..

A small frown came to the Viral's face as dark eyes scanned the Taihaku grounds, looking for any trace of her friend. Sadly there were none as far as she could tell. 'Please be safe, Narue.. Hold on until I find you!' San was about to put her mask back in it's proper place until she heard something nearby. The young okami jumped to a nearby rooftop, her necklace creating a faint jingle noise as she did so, and crouched down low as she looked for the source. What the brunette discovered was something she hadn't seen in ages..

It was Shiranui, her mother, happily singing to herself as she walked along. On her face was such a pure smile, one the daughter had missed seeing. San jumped down to the ground and kept to the shadows as she followed the woman, listening to her voice. How long had it been since she heard her mother singing like that..? Perhaps she would see her father too at this rate.

Shiranui Amaterasu - Iyokono Taihaku

Although it was late into the night that didn't mean Shiranui could enjoy a nice stroll. She always did enjoy gazing at the moon when the skies where clear and the cool night air was refreshing. The woman started humming a soft melody to herself as she walked along, unaware of what was lurking nearby. What did she have to worry about? The Taihaku Clan lived here and Rorek was always around here somewhere.. And she could defend herself too you know. The okami's ears twitched a little as she caught a noise but decided it was nothing of the dangerous sort. The woman then started to sing a simple song that her mother once sang to her..

"In the span of time we live out our lives
Calmness sweeps us off our feet
In the end, we're left with memories kept
Locked away, as they spiral down and fade away from thee

As for me, I'll sing the song of now
For that's all that I can do
Though my memories escape me
They're a part of my heart, just as I have thought of you"

Shiranui's voice was soft and calming as she sang aloud to herself. This was quite a common sight around these parts, hearing the woman singing or playing some manner on instrument to create an aura of relaxation around the estate. She may have been too calm for a demon but that was simply her nature. Save the more serious motions when the time came for it and savor peace when you could. Shiranui walked into the room and looked around, having stopped the singing. "Rorek? Are you still working? Perhaps you would like to take a break and enjoy some fresh air?" The demoness tensed a little when she felt someone watching her. Was it Rorek or someone else skulking about in the shadows?

Rorek-Viral-Taihaku

Okay....Page Seven hundred and thirty seven......cataloged and....noted.
Rorek filed up the small, filled notebooks that had been conscripted the entire night. From Lord Seo's morning walk around the area, to his sudden departure to a dangerous area.....To fighting a battle [That he really should have intervened on his behalf on], to...the arrival of a demon that claimed to be his daughter frmo the future. Though he wanted to disbelieve the notion, he also didn't want to bother his Lord, and if he trusted the girl...Then Rorek would as well.
Though, cataloging all of those stories he told.. he called, lightly flexing his wrist. I think even I'm getting tired of taking so many notes.
At this, however...he heard the wonderful voice of the demon that had joined him at the clan. Shiranui's lovely singing voice...and then a call to him to join her for some fresh air.
"Just a moment, Shiranui!" he called, before setting his pencil down on top of the notebook, and opening the door. The air was brisk...the night sky bright as usual...
And yet, as he started along to join her...He could almost catch another scent on the air....
Strange....It smells familiar...yet, at the same time.... he thought, trying to figure out if it was just the two of them together...Or, if it was some unknown third party....

Narue Taihaku

User Image

"I told you it was a bad idea."

Eyes shifted to look at the frail man on her back, and Narue Taihaku shook her head. She grumbled under her breath as she made her way back to the Estate; the young Lord's light smiles were contagious though, so she couldn't actually keep angry at him for long. Not to mention she was spending time with her father again...that, on its own, made her mood better. Still...

"Are you feeling better now?" the girl asked, a small pout on her lips. He had convinced her to let him carry her on his back...and it hadn't been long before he collapsed into one of his coughing fits. She had been carrying him after that. Not that she was complaining, really. He was light...alarmingly so...and she wasn't weak either...and it was actually funny being the one carrying her daddy, for a change. He had carried her like this soooo many times when she had been a girl, so...it was a way to return the favor, right? Just the thought made her giggle. "You know... this place is really pretty... Nothing compared to how it looks from where I come from." Her eyes shifted to the road, as the Estate came into view, the girl sucking air in in surprise. She hadn't been in this place for so long... Home. It was so beautiful...so full of life. She hadn't known she felt this homesick. Would San feel the same? If only Aeon could see her home...

"So! We are here..." Still, as she said this...a knot form on her stomach. Nervousness sank in once again. It was one thing to hang around her father, who really believed and accepted her. What about the rest of the family? Not all of them were as trusting... And somehow...she was scared of seeing them in their younger versions. Would they be very different? What about her mother? Her father always used to tell him stories of their years before she had been born...But her mother had always been so strict and worried for her family that it was hard imaging her being anything else but.

Well, they were already there. She couldn't run now.

Narue Taihaku

User Image

Nightmares weren't strangers to Narue Taihaku. Dreams of her family dying all over again, seeing her father after so long, only to lose him again to the illness, to the Corruption, to an enemy; strange dreams of a talking notebook teaching three puppets about creativity; dreams of the Corruption getting Aeon instead of her; dreams of black slime oozing down her fingers, pouring out her eyes, mouth...drowning her. Nightmares weren't strangers to the demoness... but that didn't make the nightmare she had had last night any less horrifying. Narue woke up shaking like a leaf, the nerves that had left her the moment she had found her father and her family returning to her like a sledgehammer hitting her on the chest. Trembling fingers brushed through dull brown locks, cerulean orbs staring at nothing in particular as the dream played on her mind like an awful movie. The Ultimate Walking Plague... that's what he had called her. She could still feel the resentment, the hate... she could still see the growing distrust on some of the students...and as the dream collapsed...she could feel her heart sinking, her resolution wavering.

"Aeon...Aeon, I am not sure I can do this..." her hands clutched at her head, her breathing growing heavy, quicker. Her human disguise flickered, little droplets of black trickling down to her leg. Perhaps Cesc was right. Perhaps she had doomed the new world by coming here. Perhaps Aeon had made a mistake by sparing her...for not ending her when he should had done so. Aeon... He had been there in the dream too, at the end...and his voice had been bright as always. He was the only one who trusted her. The only one who didn't see her as a monster. And for him...she couldn't... fall. Not right now. Not here. Shaky breaths escaped her lips, the girl willing herself to calm down. She needed to... get to the others. She needed...to get to Aeon. He needed to know what was going on. He... she needed him.

She closed her eyes, easing her mind, before letting out a sigh, standing up from her futon. She rubbed her eyes with the heel of her hand, and shook her head. The girl walked out of her room and looked for the Lord of the Estate, and when she found him, she couldn't help but to smile faintly despite her pale face. "Good morning, daddy." she kissed his cheek softly before waving. "Thanks for everything! I have to go! I have to find Aeon! It's urgent! I love you, daddy! Byebye!" No explanation, no anything. But hopefully, Lord Seo would understand.

Seo Tachibana-Hakushaku, Demon Lord of Kyushu
"Lovely lady, would you like to make an heir with me?"

There were times when he was sick that the Lord of the Taihaku Clan would sleep like the dead...but despite his illness, yesterday had filled him with a life and vitality that he hadn't felt in nearly all his life. The truth that one day his lovely Yasuko Kimiki-Taihaku would one day accept his proposal, the truth that the two of them would finally create the heir(ess) that he had always dreamed would succeed him, and the truth that said heiress had turned out to be such a lovely, remarkable girl as to have traveled across time itself to be reunited when them long after he knew he must have died in her time (though he had yet to ask how or when, specifically, he had perished)...these were all more than he could have hoped for, given him happiness he never would have dreamed. For years he had been a condemned man, for years he had fought and cheered and smiled with his family but contained within his secret pain at knowing that one day soon he would be forced to leave them. He could not tell them of his regrets, that he would not burden a woman to love him when he knew he would be forced to leave them behind to face the decades, the centuries, without him...but now he knew, that would not bet he case. He knew that in spite of all of his reservations he must have known that happiness of having a wife, of having a child, and now he got to experience it sooner than even his other self might have done. He was blessed...so blessed...and he could die happy now, but for his overwhelming desire to protect this little joy inside of him and the precious people who made it so.

And so when Narue kissed her daddy goodbye, his eyes were closed but had her senses been a little less distracted, she would have noticed that he was well awake. She had her reasons for leaving for now, he knew, but that didn't mean he had to simply let her go and do things on her own. The moment he was sure she had cleared the compound he was out of the room and heading down the corridor towards some of his most reliable attendants' rooms. Knocking on them softly, he called out to each of them and waited for them to join him before he assigned them their new duty.

"Viral. Shiranui. Fina. I have a favor to ask the three of you. The very future of the Taihaku Clan may be at stake," it was an unusually serious tone for their rather comical (at times) Clan Leader, but his uncovered eye did not reflect any of its usual bemusement. Whatever it was, he was taking it as seriously as anything he had since they fought against the Snakes of the Orochi. "My beautiful and wonderful future-daughter has just left the compound on her own. She seemed troubled, and said she needed to find a boy called Aeon. ...I trust her implicitly, but I desire that the three of you follow her and keep her safe while she is gone. Only let her know you are following her if things become too dangerous. And when she is finished with her errand, make sure she comes home to me...Viral, take note of this." And then he trailed off, seemingly complete in his orders...until the protective glare of a father suddenly gleaned over his sickly features and, in spite of himself and the seriousness of the situation, a faintly-hidden joy began to fill him as he suddenly felt what it was to be that protective father looking after his child. Particularly if she was going to meet a boy. Oh, small joys!

"And one more thing...if you happen to meet this Aeon or if she finds him, I'd like you to assess what sort of person he is. Then when you all return, report to me if he is a worthy match for my darlingbabygirl Rue-Chan. You may go when you are ready."
