~Serpent's Trench~

What was once a series of long-forgotten strategic tunnels and bunkers underneath Iwatodai has now been claimed by a secret society brought together under the banner of the 8-Headed Serpent, Orochi. A league of unpredictable and independent devil summoners who live together, scarcely get along, and rarely work together, the Orochi moved into the city some time ago and set up this location as one of their many bases, moving in only recently because of the compromising of their previous base in the town of Inaba. While somewhat stuffy as any underground lair is apt to be, it is a spacious, well-kept, and diverse headquarter with several independently decorated rooms available for those who...don't play well with others...to live in a place of their own design.

The 8-Headed Serpent is headed by one, Cesc Fabregas, and any who seek entry into their domain must be first cleared by his authority. It is rare that anyone other than the Eight are welcome here, and even rarer that any who see the inside live to see the outside. It's only entrance is kept secret, locked behind several obstacles only they could undo in the basement of an abandoned shop in the Downtown Shopping District...impossible to enter without the proper skills and keys. It's current keeper and overseer for when the 8-Headed Snake has set up shop elsewhere is a swing-member named Ai.

As Kiki-Jiki had transported into the home base, he had noticed something peculiar. It was, in the fact, that he had transported himself into a fairly large room, painted completely white, spare for the few parts that were blood spatters. As he had tried to gather the information around of what was happening, he had noticed that from his injection of his new "weapon", that his senses were heightened incredibly from before. And also, with it, his stomach was getting quite hungry... Even though he had food a few days ago...

Then, Kiki-Jiki could sense an anomaly in the air and, almost immediately jumped back. Then, left where he stood before was now was a chunk of ice and darkness. Then two demons had appeared, one an insect-like demon, the other an elfish goblin demon. Then, the bug had pointed towards Kiki-Jiki and the two of them started spouting useless insults towards him that Kiki-Jiki honestly did not care about. After the useless drivel that the two demons before him had started to drive onto his nerves, Kiki-Jiki had lunged at the elfish demon, tearing at her neck with his fangs. Quick surprise turned into shock and anguish as the elfish demon had tried fruitlessly to ply herself away from Kiki-Jiki's grasp. But, as all were naught, she had died in the mouth of Kiki-Jiki, the juicy pulse of life draining into his throat. The insect demon, snobbing at the fact that her "friend" was just weak and that she would not end up in the same position that the demon he just killed was, lunged towards Kiki-Jiki, sadly missing true to the strike as he had bitten off the hand that was to strike him. Through a quick chomp and swallow, Kiki-Jiki thrusted his claws at the insect demon, plunging through another one of her arms and ripping it off. With a scream of pain and agony, the demon began to retort again, calling him a beast and an animal. And it was true, Kiki-Jiki was an animal, but it was no matter, as he went to claw out the insect demon's last two limbs. As he had fallen into what was the insect demon's trap, she had blasted him with darkness, hoping to turn the tides. But all it served was to surprise her as Kiki-Jiki emerged from it, unscathed and tearing the last of her arms off of the demon. Terrified at this point, the insect demon took to flight, stealthily encased the arm with darkness incase Kiki-Jiki were to follow after. And indeed, he had followed suit, and with launching up to have the final kill, and was met with a fist formed of darkness to the face. But, instead of being knocked down, he instead shattered around it as he had grabbed ahold of the demon's wings, and with it, grounding her with him on top. And with that, Kiki-Jiki's delivered feast began, with a lively and disabled insect demon, tearing through succulent meat tender to the bone. A feast that Kiki-Jiki thoroughly enjoyed and thought the fight worthy of such.

The trench was quiet. Unusually so. It almost felt wrong. And still, the woman reveled on the piercing silence; the creak of old furniture and the voice of phantoms that weren't there anymore. In such a short time the 8 headed serpent had lost heads one by one...it was surprising they still stayed above water. Whatever happened though... Yelizaveta Ivanovna cared not. Their leader would place the pieces on the game board... and soon they would know their new roles. There was no mistake on their trust (if it could be considered that) in him...He had promised absolute freedom...and they would have it. Waiting for their time to strike was what they were to do now...

And Liz was a patient woman.

The cup of coffee was burning hot...but it felt nice on the icy fingers that held it. The aroma was strong and fragrant, unlike anything in that place. It had been inhabited for so long, it smelled stale...old...dusty. If she could give it a color...she'd say it was gray. Still...it was the closest she had to a place she could call her own... pushing aside all the sentimentalism that came with the word. A sigh escaped cold lips as the cup pressed closer, taking a sip from the strong beverage. The bags under her eyes were darker than ever, just as her mood. Yet, her impassive face showed nothing of the sort as the white haired Russian drank her coffee...the snow curls cascading down her back and face... If only she had her ribbon to keep it in place.

Alas, she had lost it so long ago... just as she had lost all the ******** she could give.

The silence trailed on for what seemed to be an eternity. For those, it could actually be such a span. But then, a crack could be heard as the sound of shattering glass heralded in the most recent of the Orochi heads. Observing all the surroundings about him, he then noticed the other head that was about, minding her own business. He had been told before that his allies may have smelled like food, but if he were to crave for a taste, it would be the last he would ever have, so Kiki-Jiki kept his hunger to a minimum and his fangs sheathed.

Observing the apathetic-ness that the head exuded reminded the demon eater of a past that he wished to long forget. Shaking his head and removing such thoughts, he moved closer to the woman, the fragrance of the coffee quickly coming to his nose. Once he gotten close enough to be able to get a worthwhile handle of her smell, he took one good inhale, keeping to memory the scent. "Ki-shi-shi-shi-shi-shi~ Greetings, fellow head." The demon eater expected not much of a conversation from what he had offered, but if there was any response at all, he would be able to have a small amount of her voice to keep to memory. But in the back of his mind, the scent smelled similar. But to what exactly, he would be picking at for at least a while.

The shattering noises broke the peaceful silence and the train of thought the woman was having...but still, there was no indication of her moving. Almost as if she had been deaf to the ruffling and moving around the trench. Sip by sip, she drank her dark coffee, and it wasn't until the presence of the other inhabitant of the place stood beside her, and took a loud sniff...did icy violet hues turned to him with no expression whatsoever. "... ... Did you just smell me?" The Russian dismissed his greetings entirely, focusing on the rude and just weird action. Not that something like that wasn't completely unthinkable before with Alexander or the Korean Zombie about. Still, that didn't take away the offense away. She wasn't a flower or some appetizer you could savor.

"Don't do that again." And with a monotone and one last dull look his way, did Liz turn back to her thoughts and beverage, not caring to start a conversation with the newest addition to the team. She wasn't there to throw him a welcoming party...or to make him feel at home. They were part of the same team, yes..but that didn't mean she would socialize with him.

Izaya Amatsu

User Image "You're DEAAAAAAAAAADDD!!!!" Suddenly a refrigerator came flying, over Liz's head and straight towards teh weird...person sniffing a-hole who was speaking to her. "You some kind of smelly freak, huh!? You want to die, HUH!? Kill, kill, kill, kill..." Though Izaya kind of...wasn't even in the room, a sense of killing intent pervaded from nearby, and it was clear that if he had to come in there, things were going to turn bloody. And smashy. And smashy bloody. So he had better not do that again!

As Kiki-Jiki had hovered nearby the stoic Russian, her objection of his way of identifying his allies led only to a chuckle. But before he could draw a response to her rejection of it, his senses were drawn to a quickly moving object that aimed for him. Easily moving out of the way, Kiki-Jiki glared at where the fridge had come from, and the kill-happy person who sent it. "Ki~shi~shi~shi~ I smell to identify you all. Since we each don't care about the others to recognize further." Kiki-Jiki rebuttaled as his attention was now split between the two heads, one with complete indifference, and the other ready to attack at a given's notice. And he was ready if either one of them were to go after him.
