Personality:
This girl is what many would consider… different. Her name is Madeline Dombrowski, although the only person who knows that information is her father, who uses her nickname regardless. After all, he is the one who gave it to her.
Chesh, as she is most often called, is a self-assured and selfish individual, thanks in great part to her sociopathic tendencies. She demands loyalty of those she considers friends, but will only return the favor on her own terms and to her own benefit. She has never entirely recognized the concept of "stress." Although she has known irritation on more than one occasion, for the most part, Chesh's mood dial has two settings: happy (in her own strange, conniving way) and angry. Those who have crossed her will soon learn of their transgression and likely wish they hadn't. The teen holds grudges hard; if you lose her trust, it will not be regained.
The seventeen year old is wildly observant; she is capable of accurately picking apart a person with a few sideways glances. Because of this innately annalytical nature, Chesh knows well how to push people’s buttons, but she doesn’t seem to realize the toll that her perceptions can take on those around her. Or… perhaps it is more likely that she simply doesn’t care. Better yet, that it fascinates her, noting the extreme range of reactions that she is capable of drawing out of people.
Chesh has been known, on more than one occasion, to hand out drugs, especially those that possess hallucinogenic qualities. Many of the people around whom the seventeen year old grew up (primarily her father's friends) have access to these substances, so while she does not have a constant or even consistent supply, she takes them when she can. Chesh is a Class A mooch. Her confident and outgoing personality makes her quite capable of convincing people of many things.... be it to lend her some money, food, a couch to sleep on, or, in this case, drugs. Then again, Chesh has never been opposed to stealing either. But the seventeen year old is intelligent; she would never swipe enough of anything to get caught.
Having hallucinogens in her possession is like being handed a ticket to her favorite show. She adores watching the journeys that people undergo and takes great pleasure in hearing their wondrous tales afterwards. She, however, would never take the substances herself. Chesh, as it turns out, is completely terrified of not being in control of her own mind.
This young lady is also known to be quite playful. She is a self-proclaimed flirt, but again, she will shamelessly do just about anything to get what she wants. She has feminine wiles and knows how to use them. That self-confidence is an uncommon characteristic within most teenagers, which makes her even more of an enigma, and which tends to draw weaker-willed people towards her. She likes to think of herself as the “Lion on the Island of Misfit Toys”, she herself being the biggest misfit of them all.
Of course, these are primarily internal characteristics, things that would not be recognizable to the average on-looker. To most perceiving, Chesh is an optimistic and charismatic girl who knows how to have a good time, and knows even better how to make sure those around her are enjoying life just as much as she is.
Appearance:
Chesh has pale skin and dark hair. Her hair is cut in a very angular fashion, with many straight edges. A streak or two of color (predominantly blue and purple) add a bit more spunk to the already unique style. As far as proportions go, the seventeen year old is quite average. She’s approximately 5’6” with curves to speak of, but none to brag about. Her low-maintenance style and fearless attitude make her seem like a bit of a tomboy, but she also possesses a well-defined feminine side.
History:
Elizabeth “Lizzy” Smith and Richard “d**k” Dombrowski were neither especially well educated nor especially well off. They were not highly respected by their peers. Their love was not especially unique.
When Lizzy turned eighteen, she moved in with d**k, who was then twenty-five. When they found out that they would be having a baby, d**k had to beg the teenager to keep the child.
The entirety of the pregnancy was rough. The doctors told Lizzy, only a few months in, that there was no heartbeat and that she would surely miscarry soon. A few weeks later, they found they were mistaken; there was, in fact, a heartbeat. The following months continued as such, with both physical and emotional ups and downs for Lizzy, d**k, and their baby-to-be. In order to make light of the difficult situation, d**k nicknamed the child “Chesh,” in honor of Lewis Carroll’s famous cat, who was able to appear and disappear at will, just as their baby girl seemed to do within her mother’s womb.
After several false labors, Lizzy gave birth to a surprisingly healthy baby girl only three days before she was originally due. Immediately thereafter, d**k proposed to his daughter’s mother, hoping to make an honest woman out of the girl who had borne his child. But Lizzy was not ready for married life, let alone motherhood. She fled the coop at the first opportunity, leaving d**k alone with the infant girl. Fortunately for the child, if Richard Dombrowski was anything, it was loyal. He named the girl Madeline, in honor of his own mother who had died when he was young. In retrospect, it would seem more like a formality than anything, giving the child a true name, as she would never be anything but “Chesh” to him.
Today, Chesh and d**k live together in a small trailer park just outside of Teufel Town. They don’t see much of one another. d**k makes a decent living working construction. A good portion of that money, however, is put towards alcohol and bad company. Chesh appreciates that he pays the bills. d**k appreciates that his daughter is low maintenance. They get along fine, but the seventeen year old certainly considers herself to be the adult in the relationship. Although Mr. Dombrowski’s pride would not allow him to admit to such a fact, he would never attempt to deny it.
Family:
Richard “d**k” Dombrowski [42] – Chesh’s father, with whom she lives. The two of them get along fine because they are both low maintenance and primarily keep to themselves. Chesh thinks herself to be far more intelligent and mature than her father… and she is correct in thinking so.
Elizabeth “Lizzy” Smith [35] – Chesh’s mother, whom she has never known. As Lizzy was young and unprepared for either married life or motherhood, she left soon after her daughter was born. Somewhere in the world, she is married with two small children.

Type of Magic: Chesh is capable of conjuring a completely fabricated world around a single individual. Much like a drug-induced hallucination, the world itself is pulled from the victim’s subconscious. It is thus entirely incapable of harming him/her physically. However, one should never underestimate the power of the mind.
The strength of Chesh’s power is determined primarily by the mental strength of her victims; if they are calm and in control, the seventeen year old can only create hallucinatory flashes. However, if their emotions are running high (be it through excitement, fear, sadness, or any powerful emotion), she gains more control and is capable of fleshing out more of that world.
Outfit: Chesh tends to stick to neutral color bases which she will then embellish with color. Nothing she wears is too fancy, although she does her best to turn the thrift store finds into something unique. She is not afraid to be what others may consider “scantily clad,” having a great deal of confidence in her body. She wears what she considers to be comfortable. For example, one outfit might comprise of a sleeveless, jewel-colored top over a colorful bra with dark, neutral shorts and candy-colored converse.

Chesh is a very interesting girl with a solid history and backstory! I do have one question, but only the one. How does she afford and obtain drugs, especially if she just intends to pass them around? Does she charge for them? Is she a dealer? It sounds like she just gives them to people, and since her father spends most of their money, how does that work for her?

When I say that "she has been known, on more than one occasion, to hand out drugs" it is not to imply that she has a constant supply of hallucinogens on her. In fact, she gets her hands on them fairly infrequently, but when she does, it's like a special treat; like she's being handed a ticket to her favorite show.
Because of the Dombrowski's lifestyle and the people around whom Chesh grew up, she has a lot of connections to drugs. A lot of her father's friends are users, so if they come around the house to share, she'll stow away what she's given or steal. These particular people (the ones who associate themselves with her father) don't usually get their hands on the super pricey stuff, so if a small amount goes missing while they're under the influence, they don't usually take notice. Usually, they just assume they either consumed or handed out a little bit more than they'd thought. The seventeen year old would never swipe enough to get caught.
Chesh is also a Class A mooch. Being the ultra-charismatic and confident person that she is, she can convince people of a lot of things... whether it be to lend her some money, food, a couch to sleep on, or, perhaps, some drugs, if she's in the mood to play that game.

Chesh is a very unique character in our roster indeed, and I'm more than excited to see how she interacts with other characters! I deeply enjoyed how you incorporated the Cheshire Cat into all of her concept, as well, and I'm also particularly intrigued by her deeply psychological wish.
