It was finaly warm enough outside to actually spend the day at the park. While there still was a cool breeze as it was not quite spring yet, the sun was out and provided enough warmth if you basked in it. Sciz had decided to take Lian out to the park so he could play on a real jungle gym instead off all the furniture in the house. While he had managed to secure everythng in the house, keeping him from re aranging things out of bordem was proving more difficult. Sciz walked over to a bench and dropped the bookbag and the cooler down on it.
"Here we are, go ahead and explore but stay near by." He sat on the bench with a flop.
"How far ish near by?" The little panda boy kicking up dirt in Sciz's general direction.
"As long as you can see me, you're close enough. Just stay away from the road and play nice with others." He pulled some headphones from the bag an relaxed a bit. "Come back if you're hungry or need something." Sciz reached out and ruffled the blonde's hair.
"Ah stop it." Lian ducked under his grasp. "you sit here un be laaazy, I go haf fun." He jutted his tounge out at Sciz and kicked him playfully in the leg.
"Just go then." He lightly pushed Lian with his foot. Lian moved out of the way making a face at Sciz again. Lian turned towards the jungle gym and looked it over. The moneky bars looked like a good place to start to him and headed over to them.

((Keanu can label a pheonix, ogre, griffin, hypogriff, but he doesn't know what normal animals are. Oh well...))
"KEANU THAT IS NOT A-!' The yell was lost, and unfinished as the boy swung the bag he'd been carrying as he spun, eventually toppling over from the weight, and with him went the bag. There was the sound of something crunching, most likely the sandwiches, and chips she'd packed in it, and then Keanu saying something was wet. Oh yes... That boxed juice. "Oi vey..." girl murmured, rubbing her eyes a moment. She'd opted to get Keanu out for the day, even though she had work to do. Though it was due to the fact the boy was acting like a monkey, and not a cat. He'd have torn up the house had she not brought him out. Though she still planned to work... Or hoped to. Her arms where burdened with her own bag of food, now the only edible one most likely, as well as folders she'd snagged from her desk to work on. It didn't seem like much was going to get done at this rate though.
Large blue eyes looked up at her innocently, as the boy picked up the slightly dripping bag. "It's still good I think... They're in plastic, so not dirty!" He called, nodding. That wasn't the problem... But he was back to hurrying along toward the green expanse with it shining metal bars, and what not. Not the least bit concerned he'd squished a lunch, and Miffy his toy that she'd packed in that bag was going to be Very Berry flavoured. Oh well, such was the life of a five year old, naive, innocent, and adorable. That's how they survived.
The woman followed after, calling out to the boy as they reached some benches. He stopped, glancing at her as she began to explain. "Alright, Keanu you like to be able to play, so... I'm going to stay here, at this bench, and as long as you promise to stay in the park, meaning you won't cross any streets, or go with any strangers. You can do as you wish until I call you. Of course you need to be nice, and polite to others." She said, setting her files on the bench. "...And safe." She added, glancing at theboy who had set down the bag, and was already beginning to back away as she spoke. "...Promise?" He nodded rather enthusiastically, and darted off with that, obviously on some mission to explore every corner as usual. She sighed, pulling out the paper, and giving the damp bag a quick look. "...I'll deal with it later." She mumbled, before pulling out her pencil, and going to work.
Keanu needed no second bidding to dart off toward the nearest thing that sparkled in the light. Ah not quite treasure, but he could train for his adventures on it! He'd worn his dragon t-shirt that day, the colors briant against his white, and black coat. As he passed the first structure, he gave a quick scan of the area. "What to train on first..." He mumbled, pausing on something he didn't have anything like at home. Kind of like a tree you went across? He flicked an ear thinking. "I'ma need strong arms to fight, so I need to train there." He said to himself, darting toward the structure with all the grace a five year old could muster. He might still be a bit of a clutz, a graceful clutz, but at least people understood him now. As he reached the structure, he paused spotting something... Odd... Well colorful? Yes, colorful. It wasn't a cat, but it had a long tail. And it was red. But no it wasn't a fox. Because it had black on it, but... He crossed his eyes trying to think of what it was. Ears like a bear? He pursed his lips, and shook his head. Eh, it was a thing. That's it! The red thing was a thing, and that answered that. Of course Raja had said to be polite though... So he had to say hello to the thing, right? Right! "Why hullo there Mr. Thing, I have not seen you before!" He called, placing both hands on a bar to start hefting himself up, eyes still on the other as he did so.
What was that thing anyway?

(( lol xD i know of his affectionate name for Nero ))
Lian was about ready to climb on up onto the bars on the other side when he heard some one adressing him. He knotted his brows and turned to look to see who it was. There wasn't any one here a moment ago, but he did find a boy who was taller then him and had a tail like him too. Well he was grey in color and had spots all over but that didn't matter. Lian's brows lifted as he looked at the newcomer, his tail twitching slightly. "Thing?" he points at himself. "I not a 'thing'." He sounded rather confused as to what exactly the leopard boy was inferring about him. "I just got here, my dad said I wus messing his stuff up so he brought me here." Lian decided to wait on the ground since Keanu was already up on the bars. The boy had called him a thing, but as Lian thought about it, he didn't know what the other was either.

((See, you'rs is much nicer. Keanu just labels what he doesn't know. That way he has a name for it. He doesn't mean anything really.))
Paws clung to the bars pulling himself up to the top, and reaching out for the first one that would leave him dangling as the other replied. Hmph, he certainly WAS a thing, what else could he be? He grabbed the bar, and let his feet fall from the step bar he'd been on, and kicked his feet a bit before swinging one arm to the second bar, and holding on tight, while replying. "H- Buh... I... Don't... Know... What..." There was a long pause as he went silent when he almost fell, and had to concentrate on clinging to the bar, feet flailing in the air a bit, his tail twitching back, and forth agitated. He had to be strong. Had to. He was a hero. "You... Are... So... You're... A... Thing!" He managed to finish the sentence before his hand slipped on the bar, and he fell the few feet back to the ground.
He didn't cry when he landed on his bottom, just grimaced, obviously annoyed with himself. He'd have to practice until he could do it right. His ears perked as the other spoke more, about his father. "Huh, mum did the smae. she's off working on her papers, and said I could play anywhere in the park until she called for me." He replied, grinning, and pushing himself up, before dusting the few bits of dirt off his rear end. "She's busy with work a lot, but she doesn't want to tell me what she does. I bet she's some sort of heroic warrior, and she's reading all the requests she gets. But she doesn't want people to know, so she doesn't talk about it." He paused. "But then again... She never lets me do anything fun when she's around..." He mumbled, biting his bottom lip softly, before shaking his head. "Eh anyway. I'm Keanu. Future hero in training. I'm going to slay big bad ogres, and bad monsters someday. Not the nice ones like Nero Monster, but the bad ones who hurt people." He nodded. Oh yes, he'd do so many good deeds in the future, he'd become famous. And everyone would be happy. It would be just perfect.

((but Keanu is adorable that way xD; ))
Lian watched Keanu carefully as he tried his luck at the monkey bars. Now looking at it, he wasn't sure if his arms where long enough to catch the other bar in order to cross. He wiggles his toes in the mulch and dirt. Lian had managed to get out of the house with only his jeans that were obivously too big and a jacket. "I guess so..." He cocked his head to the side an though about it but Keanu crashing interrupeted his thinking. The little panda even winced a bit knowing how much it hurt to fall on your butt from a few feet.
It was his turn now. Grabbing the cool dirty bars he pulled him self up onto the second bar for standing on. "Oh dats really neat, I'm not sure wut my dad does." He stood up on the bar while leaning against the side one. Well it was now or never, he thought and leaped for the bar both hands ready to grasp it. "He usually is just around the house or talks to some lady..." Lian had managed to grab the bar which he was now dangling from. "He told.. me that he... was a guardian.. of a place." Inbetween talking and gasping he lifted himself untop of the bar and sat there. He looked down at keanu and dangles his feet and tail. Lian really wanted to travel across but he was pretty sure he wouldn't make it.
"You're a hero!? Dats really neat." He hooked his legs on the bar and hung upside down to look at Keanu easier. He had done this several times on the banister at home much to Sciz's dispeasure and lecturing. His father couldn't yell at him if he couldn't see Lian do it though. "I wish I could be a hero..." Lian crossed his arms poating a bit. Though in that postion he probably looked more funny then serious. "Ah who's Nero monster?" he relaxed his arms and just let them dangle down while the blood rushed to his head.

He walked out from under the bars as the other prepared to go across, speaking as he did. He nodded a bit as the other spoke of his father, and watched with interest as he pulledhimself on top of the bar. Interesting, a much better way to cross. But it didn't offer more upper body strength, and a hero needed that. He had to train, yes. Earlier was certainly an indication of that bit. "Ah well, I bet your papa does some really neat thing! Adults like to hide the really neat secrets from us, right?" He called, his tail waving back, and forth happily. "What kind of lady does your daddy hang around with? There's some other guys around my house that are older than me. They're kind of odd, but usually nice. Haruki has neat books, it's where I learned about being a hero!" He continued, watching with interest as the other hung himself upside down. He'd have to try that one. Maybe he'd climb on the other side to test it out. "It told me about all the neat things, and I bet anyone can be a hero if they try. That's why I'm training. Making my arms nice, and strong so I can fight the big ogres bare handed."
He pulled himself up the first few rungs of the opposite side of the bars before grabbing the first one, and after a bit of swinging helplessly, he managed to pull himself up onto the top. He could already mentally hear his mum berating him for this in his head, that was... If she saw it. He hooked his feet over the edge, before mimicing the other, and hanging upside down. He blinked a few times before bursting out laughing. "The world looks silly when you're not rightside up!" He called, pointing to a tree that was upside down. "It looks like a bit green ice cream cone!" He called, letting his arms hang after that. And turning his attention back on the conversation. Hero's had to be focused, right. "Ah, Nero's my friend! He's a scorpion monster, but he's very nice. His tail is funny, and he's got extra arms, but their not quite arms, and... You have to meet him sometime, he's fun!" He called, glancing at the ground. Yep he was high up, Raja would be having a fit if she knew. But she toldhim he could do what he wanted as long as he was nice, so it was ok. He glanced back at the blond, red creature. He still didn't havea name for it, ah well, it knew fun things to do with the bars. Even ifit didn't make his arms stronger.

Lian watched Keanu with interest as he mimiced what he did. "Well theres this blue haired lady he leave wit some times." He looked over at the tree the leopard boy had mentioned and blinked. He never thought of it that way. Though now that Lian looked at it, the tree did resemble icecream and the thought made him laugh. Who'd want green icecream? " I guess some times I hide and listen when they talk. It sounds important but they use alot of words i dunno." Lian had suddenly remember that the boy had told him his name and Lian forogot to tell him his. His dad would have ruffled his hair for that if he was here. The panda glanced over to the benches for a second just to make sure he wasn't storming over wat that very moment. "Oh I forgot, my name's Leeuh, or just Lee, which ever's easier." Yet again he had introduced himself in the practiced manner Sciz had drilled into his head. Speaking of which the blood rushing was making his fingers start to tingle not to mention the ground beneath started to spin a bit. "Whoah.." His riinged tail wrapped around the bar like a safty line as he pulled himself back up. He didn't know what that feeling was but it wasn't plesant.
"It was be cool being friends with a monster." Lian shook his head trying to get the dizzy sensation to go away. His fingers had already stopped tingling as he gripped them on the metal bar. "Whats an ogre?"

He listened as the other spoke about some lady with blue hair. Blue... Maybe light like Tsuya's? But Tsuya was another boy, not a girl. Hmm, there wouldn't be any connection with that. And snooping around while they talked? With words he didn't know. "I bet Haruki would know the words. Haruki reads a lot." He chimed in, not thinking about the fact the red furred boy wouldn't know anything about his own housemates, or better yet those left to babysit him most of the time. Along with Tsuya of course. But they usually only worried about what plan he was going to come up with, as if he was that bad. He blinked back to attention as the other suddenly glanced off, over in another direction, and followed the movement. Just some benches with people? Hmm... Nothing all that interesting... Still no one could say what others saw. The last time Keanu had tried to explain that ogres where cool, and not frightening to Tsuya the older boy had simply shook his head, repeating that they where big, and scary. All in the eye of the beholder, wasn't that what his mum sometimes said?
He blinked as the other spoke, introducing himself, and nodded. "Lee, ok I got it." He said happily, repeating in his head a few times so to stick it in that place with all the others. Forgetting names was bad. As he was doing thiis the other mumbled something before pulling himself upright. Which didn't make much sense to Keanu, as the sensation hadn't yet begun in his hands. Certainly soon, but not at the moment. Instead he simply nodded to the others words, ignoring the fact the world swayed a moment more than it should as he began speaking. "Yes, but only the nice ones. Bad kinds will hurt you, so pick your monsters carefully." He blinked as he held up his hand curling his fingers. There where all tingling, like he'd been sitting on them, or something. He frowned, moving them more, but the feeling didn't pass, and soon he felt as if his head was too heavy. Shaking it quickly, he pulled himself up, thinking only to clear it of the feeling, which began to pass as soon as he was upright. Whoa indeed.
He glanced up at the next question, grinning. Even if his head was still a bit wonky, he was eager to explain all the neat things he'd learned from that book, and it was important knowledge. What if you met one, and didn't know what it was!? You'd be in trouble when you tried to make friends. "An ogre is a big person. And I mean big! The size of a big, big house! And it's very, very primitive," A word he'd learned from the book, andhad to ask Haruki about. "so it doesn't speak very well. They have one eye sometimes, but usually those are called a Cyclops, which is like an agre I guess. Kind of like a Cat is a cat, and a snow leopard is a snow leopard, but they look alike." He added tha bit, just because he understood it. Raja had explained it a few times. "So an agre is big, and very strong. And it sometimes uses a wooden club. And some have odd skin colors, like..." He thought a moment. "Just odd." He nodded. Obviously he needed to review a bit more. He still sometimes mixed up his creatures, but he knew in general. "So they're bad though. And you don't want to meet one, Lee. Not unless you're a hero, because heros fight the bad ogre's, and stuff!"

"I'll be careful when i luk for monster friends."Lian nodded. Though he thought about it for a moment. "Aren't da mean ones the cool looking ones? I'd like to be friends with a cool looking monster." He crossed his arms and nodded firmly. Yes, the cool looking ones where better after all, and if they're scary thats even better!
"Ooh ogres sound intersting, i'd like to atweast see a picture of one." His ears drooped a little bit but then pricked back up quickly. "Have you ever seen an ogre or a monster?" Lian looked hopefully at the older boy, maybe he'd seen one and he could tell him about it. "Or any kind of neat creature?" He wasn't allowed out of the house much by himself and hasn't had the chance to really explore outside unless his father was near by.

He nodded. "Yes, gotta be careful of em." He called, before frowning at what the boy said next. Oh no, that would not do in the least. "Uh... But if the cool ones are bad, it means they aren't nice. So they shouldn't be your friends." He paused, glancing off before quickly returning his attention to the blond. "And~ Nero looks kind of cool, so not all cool monsters are bad. So choose a nice cool monster, yea?" He swinging his feet a bit where they dangled, having forgotten he was to be training. Well he wasn't the most attentive child sometimes.
"Well... I've never seen a real one. But in the book I've seen lots of pictures. They have pictures of all sorts of neat monsters." He replied, thinking, and trying to recall some of the others. "A Lamia is a neat one. It's human, and dragon sort of..." He scratched idly at one of his ears thinking a moment. "Yeah, I wish I'd seen something neat. But I haven't managed to find them yet. Just Nero monster." He replied, frowning. "Mum, she doesn't like me going on adventures too often. That's why. I haven't been able to travel enough to find them yet." He perked though, raising the hand from his ear to the air, as if making a declaration. "BUT! I WILL!"

"Hmm I guess I could." He idely scratched the back of his head while thinking about it. "There probably are alot of cool looking nice monsters then. I hope I meet one though." Lian grinned a rather toothy grin.
"Why not sneek out? I do it when Skiz isn't looking sometimes.Though I.." He looked down looking slightly embarassed. "... never go farther then backyard or a neighbor's yard." He looked back up with a smile on his face though. "Well atleast you've tried and you know what a bunch of em are. Maybe I can get my dad to get me a book or something." his tail swished back and forth.

((We're still waiting for Keanu to realize he CAN'T take care of himself yet.))
He nodded. "See, you can get the best of both worlds without dealing with the mean monsters. Because a mean one would probly attack you anyway. It wouldn't make a good friend." He added, shrugging, and learning forward on the brs to look down toward the ground, seeming to be pondering if he should just slide down through the bars. As interesting as talking was, he couldn't hang upside down anymore. It made him feel dizzy, and lightheaded. so his legs weren't getting stronger, and he needed to be training. It was time for another structure. And the glinting mess of bars that made up the jungle gym where calling him. That would work on arm stregnth, pulling him up. And legs too since he was using them to boost. Balance perhaps? Yes, the bars wheren't so thick right? Well that decided it then, the Jungle Gym it would be.
He glanced up again as the boy made a suggestion, a sheepish grin crossing hiw own face. "Sneak out?" He laughed, glancing up. "I've tried... Someone usually catches me. My room is on the top floor, and Halla is often out at night. I get caught before I can get too far..." He mumbled, sighing. "Mum just doesn't think I know how to take care of myself." He added, rubbing his head a bit. "But I'll show her that I do, and she'll let me go find them then." He called, smiling suddenly, before shifting his legs, and leaning forward to grab the bar in front of him before letting his bottom half slide off the bar. He'd have fallen if his fingers weren't still clutching the other bar, and so he swung a few times forward, then back until he released the metal, landing more gracefully than he had the first time, and smiling up at the younger boy. "This is all one step toward that though. I have to be strong so mum sees how big I really am!" He added, grinning happily, and stretching slightly. "So I can't take a break from training! I'm going to the jungle gym." He stated, and took a few steps before glancing at the other boy. "You wanna come with, Lee?" He asked, taking a quick hop backwards toward the structure he'd mentioned, eyes on the other to see if he was coming. Training would be more fun with someone else, right?

"Hm?" Lian looked over to the jungle gym that Keanu was talking about. He must have missed that when we was running up to the playground or he would have gone there instead. There were so many different things to do on it then the monkey bars. "I'll train with joo. Hold on." He looked over the side to see how far down the ground was and decided it'd be better not to jump. Instead he grabbed unto the big side bar and shimmied down it once he was at the edge. Lian let go when he was closer to the ground, landing a bit unblanced he stumbled a bit. "Okay lets go." He brushed the dirt off his pants.

The boy hadn't exactly waited for the younger, more brightly colored one. He'd turned, and been about to run over, but had simply walked slowly, watching over his shoulder. Keanu might have been a bit wrapped up in his own plans for the future, but he didn't mind a buddy around to chat with while he worked. As the other hit the ground, he gave a slight nod, dismissing the need to move slower now, and darting over toward the shining metal structure. Much better, this he could practice climbing on, for those big mountain climbing hunts, and balance. That was important for roaming around in ancient ruins where things might fall out from under you. A very good structure indeed.
Reaching the thing, he quickly grabbed the highest bar he could reach, and pulled himself up a bit, snagging his feet under a lower bar to help get up. It wasn't hard really, anyone with a little strength could do it, but eventually they'd tire out. So this was endurance training as well. A smile flickered on the boy's face. Well as long as his mother didn't come to get him before then. It faded only a moment before he glanced at the other boy. Perhaps, making a game of this. Even though Keanu didn't need one to keep busy, and at this for far longer than was normal. A game... Perhaps to hunt for something. He let his gaze waver over the area around, searching for something that might produce a worthy thing to journey for. Nothing. Well he'd find it later. Then he'd know. He glanced at the other kid again, pulling himself up another rung as he did. "Hey... Let's be explorerers... And hunt for something. This is just the first mountain we have to get over." He called, glancing at the structure, "And then we'll have to journey through something tricky to get to the treasure, right?" he added, lifting up a foot to another higher peice of the metal structure in preceding to try, and get higher up.

Lian jogged over to the other structure behind Keanu since he was behind. He stopped at the foot of the structure and looked up at it. Well this certainly was a lot bigger then it looked from the monkey bars. Reaching up he was a bit miffed he couldn't grab a bar as high as Keanu could since he was shorter. Not to be deterred, Lian jumped for it and clung to the bar. He had to pull himself up afterwards to put his feet on the bar so he could stand and reach the next one.
"Explorers? I've never been an explorer before." He pulled himself up a couple more bars. Lian had started to get a hang of climbing up the vertical bars on this one. "A mountain? that sounds hard.. lets do it." He grinned and nodded his head.
