Thank you! I ^^ Not trying to make excuses for my laziness haha but the first one was actually just a lined drawing for someone that I felt needed a little something more that they could take or leave if they wanted. I don't usually draw lines like that then color, I usually go from sketch to color so I'm sure that's why I struggled adding dimension to it - and I didn't spend as much time as normal coloring. x3 But thanks for the advice!

Your art is very pretty! I really like the third one c:
Faces, hair, and torsos are pretty good, though I'd like to see some males. It seems like you need to work on the anatomy of your arms and shoulders. They can be tough, I know, so don't be afraid to look at references.
Your coloring is good, too, but I'd like to see more blending in your shading. Do you just do the one style of cg painting or do you do others?
Thank you! I'm actually working on a male drawing right now, not sure when it'll be finished but it's on the list..I know they are very scarce in my works but I do draw them! x3 I feel like lately I've been struggling with the upper/bust area..it always seems that I draw people's heads too large and then end up sizing them down a bit and just try to place them where I think is easiest at the time in reference to what's already there neck/shoulders~wise..and yea, I can definitely see some arm problems myself - I feel like a lot of things I do lately are far too static, that may be part of the problem.
I used to have the best roomie who would be my 24/7 reference - she totally got how things worked and I could just be like "hey I want to make the figure look like this" and she'd pose it for me so I could get the sketch down how I wanted it...i've been lazy with finding/taking photo references..thanks for the reminder! I'll try to work harder.
Thank you, coloring is probably my favorite part! x3 In regards to blending better/more..I think I may just be rushing to get things done..I feel like often I do too little and I don't have a whole lot of time at home when I can work on things..if something drags on for too long..especially for a drawing for someone other than myself I get antsy and want to finish it as soon as I can. ._. I hope no one reads any of this as excuses, I know I make tons of mistakes and am just trying to own up to them..I'm always trying to make things better, but realize that sometimes you just have to finish what you started.
As for style..what I've been doing and what's in my gallery is what I've been doing I guess..I don't really have a set out thought of "ok now I'm going to do things this way" I just do whatever comes easiest/first, so I dunno. x3;; I don't think it's a huge style change but I think my speedpaintings turn out a lot differently than the things I've posted in the thread, and I've tried different techniques coloring. If by style you mean do I draw anime as well or chibi, I'd have to say I do have a lot of anime influences (I'm not really big on chibi drawings, I've probably only done one ever a looong time ago), and most of my art on gaia when I first started here was in anime style. Eventually I just worked my way into this semi-realism/cartoony/painterly/whatever it is.
Sorry for typing a novel. gonk Thank you thought for stopping by and for your input!
