Hasierara opened his eyes to find himself underground. He had fallen asleep while waiting for his brother. Bukaera was no where in sight so Hasierara assumed that he never bothered to come back. He stood up and stretched his legs. He had hoped that the whole thing was a dream and that he didn't find his brother. That way if they did meet they would be at least on good terms. It was astounding how much Bukaera was like their father. They were both always 'right' and they would get pissy at anyone who thought other wise.
He peeked out the den to see if anyone was around. Without Bukaera around he had no idea where he was. He hoped that he would have a chance to meet his nephew before he went. Hopefully Bukaera didn't take him with him if he did leave the pride. Hasierara let out a sigh. Eventually his brother would grow up. Until than it would be best just to let him be. He felt bad for Ijara though. The leopard seemed to be the only one around to witness Bukaera's nasty side. He remembered how much he tormented the other slaves when they argued with him. It was difficult to imagine what a grown, much larger, adult Bukaera would do.
He left the den and started wandering the north tunnel. Quietly he admired the firefly lights that dangled. The pride was creative, he would give them that much. He wondered if the pride members mostly stayed underground or if they would venture the surface. It would be a hard life living only underground, he thought. As he traveled, he started heading downward. He went deeper and deeper hoping that the trail would lead somewhere, preferably to where ever Ekaitz was. At last he reached an area where diggers were digging into out tunnels.
"Well, I guess I should turn back and take another path." He said with a sigh. He realized that he was going to be there for a while.

Ijara was tired.
He was tired and for the first time in a long while, he was starting to feel his youth. Ever since his meeting and subsequent conversation with Bukaera, he seemed to be everywhere. Just when he thought he was alone in a tunnel, the elder leopard would be there. His smile and his words made him uncomfortable and -combined with his constant invasion of his personal space- made him want to dig himself a hole and close it behind him.
He found himself spending more time then he normally did in his den, taking comfort in the enclosed space. When he did go out, he began taking the back tunnels. It seemed to be working so far at least.
His new route led him passed one of the active dig sites and the diggers had been alarmed to see him so skittish. They had tried to get him to tell them what was wrong, but he had brushed their concerns off. No need to get them involved in his own problems. They offered to at least provide an escort to the council meeting, but he politely declined.
He had managed to make it there without being accosted, and was now on his way back to his den. As he neared his home and now his pseudo sanctuary he thought he was in the clear. But then he spotted a leopard rounding the corner and all he saw was blue and purple and he panicked. He turned and tried to bolt but slammed into the tunnel's wall, stunning him and dropping him to the ground.

Hasiera barely noticed the leopard at first. He saw him quickly turn around and run into a wall. It was odd behavior Hasiera thought as he looked at the leopard for a moment. He wondered if the leopard had tried to run away from him. Perhaps the leopard was afraid of strangers? That must be it, Hasiera decided. He kept a fair distance away from him.
“Hello brother, are you alright?” he asked. Hopefully if everything went alright he could get directions out of this place. Than he remembered something. He thought about his brother and how his brother held grudges and how juvenile he would act. There was a chance that this leopard was one of the leopards he had harassed. It could also be likely that his brother warned the other pride members of him and told them lies. Either way he decided it was probably his brother's fault for the way the leopard acted.
“Do you know Bukaera by any chance?” he asked curiously.

His head swam from the impact and he tried to blink it away. It helped marginally, but his head was still tender as he gingerly got to his feet. He tried to remember what he was doing before he hit the wall. His head throbbed from the action, but it all came back in a snap. Ijara whirled back to where he saw Bukaera, the action made his head ache and he couldn't hold back the wince. But instead of Bukaera leering at him, he found a different leopard -still startling similar- asking him if he was alright. He took a moment to gather more of his composer before answering.
"I-I will be fine... I. Thank... Thank you for asking."
He was getting a bit of his equilibrium back when the stranger asked if he knew Bukaera. Ijara froze up, not caring if it make his head throb again.
"Yes, I am ... familiar with Bukaera. More so with his son, Ekaitz... May I ask why?"

Hasi saw the leopard freeze up. He felt guilty, though he knew he wasn't responsible for his brother's actions. Buka always did what he thought he needed to. Hasi had thought it was a cry for attention when he was younger, but now he was a grown leopard. He shouldn't be treating others like play things. Someday he was sure that someone would do to Buka, what he did to others. Maybe than he would grow up, Hasierara thought.
He than wondered if this leopard was Ijara or if his brother had harassed others. "Torm-Bukaera is my brother." Hasierara confessed. He hoped the leopard wouldn't dislike him over who his brother was. "My name is Torm-Hasierara, but if you would like you can call me Hasi. I am visiting for a little bit, though my brother seems to have disappeared from the area for a little bit."
He hoped that telling the leopard that Buka left would put him a bit at ease. "I haven't really been here long enough to see how my brother's behavior has affected the members of the pride, but if he has done anything to you, please accept my apology. I know he has some problems, but I am going to work it out with him."

The ache in his head had everything disjointed. It was hard to keep a lid on his already foreign emotions, so he couldn't stop the surprise that crossed his face as the other leopard explained his relation.
"Brother? Yes, he did say that he was searching for you then." But that conversation had turned into what it did- he cut the thought short, flinching slightly. Though he did relax minutely - he didn't realize how coiled his muscles had been - when the leopard said that his brother was not in the area. This let him regather his frazzled nerves and gain back some of this normal composure. His posture straightened and he felt his normal persona return a slight bit.
"I- It is a pleasure to meet you Torm- Hasierara, I am Ijara. As a visitor, I am obligated as the Tunneler's Seat on the Council to act as your guide around the Brotherhood if you so require one." It felt so ... right to be acting in his position. It was a step in the direction of things going back to the way they were suppose to be.
But his fragile state of mind took another harsh blow as Hasi apologized for his brother behavior. His head pounded in tempo with his heartbeat, and his youth and inexperience in dealing with others finally was catching up with him. He stared at the other Torm brother with confusion. "I do not understand your brothers actions. They make me wish to curl up into a small hole and stay there, which I have almost succeeded in the most part! But it is beginning to disrupt my work. I do not understand why he is doing this. Nor do I understand how to make him stop! I have tried telling him to cease, but it only seems to encourage him further!" He looked as young and confused as he finally let himself feel.

The guilt piled up on him as the leopard talked more and more. “There is no excuse for my brother's behavior and I do not wish to explain his actions. As far as getting him to stop, I'm afraid there isn't much in the way to do. He is upset at me right now and probably will avoid me for some time. I imagine that while I am here, he will avoid coming back.” He said. Their fight was something he regretted doing. He should have handled the situation better, but with Buka there were only a limited about of what he could do to settle him down.
“Next time I see him, I will talk to him and see if I can reason with him. Once he is in a better mindset he is usually more reasonable to deal with.” Hasi explained.
“Do you think you could show me around a bit? Maybe we can talk more about my brother, if you are up for that. I need to figure out if he has gotten worse then he was when we were in our old pride. If he has gotten worse, then to get him to stop I'll have to force him to realize what he is doing.” He didn't want to make the young leopard relive the moments of Buka harassing him. Hasi just hoped that he had gotten better and controlling himself. “Did he ever hurt you physically? Like attack you with his claws or anything like that?”
Buka had at some points physically attacked others when they didn't play his game. Though it was mostly because he was edged on by the lions who controlled the pride. He hoped that the habit didn't continue on. “While I am here, I'll make sure my brother stays far away from you. I don't want to see you or anyone else get victimized by my brother.”

Ijara was left reeling at the amount of... -was it concern or kindness? Or both?- that Hasi offered him. Oh yes, the other Diggers had shown him the same, but from what amounted to be a complete stranger, Buka's own brother non the less! He eyed the tunnel leading to his den. He was certain that Buka did not know the location of his den as of yet... but if what Hasi said was true... and he did have a duty to fulfill.
The ache in his head as lessening, making it easier to think. He regained his posture and cast a net tight around his persona, hoping to keep it intact once more. "It would be my honor to act as your escort as you have need while you are in the Brotherhood." Though he hesitated when he mentioned his brother again. "What... information do you require in regards to your brother?"
He looked away down a side tunnel when Hasi asked if he had been harmed. "Nay, he has not harmed me physically." he sighed "Torm-Hasierara, I... have very few friends within the Brotherhood. Those I do have reside within the Diggers, and the single one I possessed that held high ranking has left the Brotherhood shortly after my appointment onto the Council. What I wish to say, is thank you" He looked at the other leopard "for providing an ear to listen."

Hasi's heart went out to the young leopard. He could never fully understand Buka's actions. He knew that it had been hatred and fear of rejection that fueled. him. But that was no excuse. Especially when it was affecting others outside their family. "Thank you very much. My stay won't be too long. I will probably leave once I know my brother has at least agreed to be decent toward you and the other members."
He paused. Buka wouldn't necessarily listen to him though. "If my talk with Bukaera doesn't change his attitude, you might go to your king and see if he can deal with the situation. If he is an understanding king I am sure there will be no problem. Buka might not listen to me, but if he is faced with a chance to be kicked out of the pride he might change his attitude."
"Do you know if my brother has harassed any other members of the pride? I would like to see them as well. When Ijara thanked him, Hasi couldn't help but feel guilty. He didn't feel like he had done anything worth being thanked. However he accepted and nodded his head. "If you ever need anything you can come to me. Even if it isn't about my brother." He gave the leopard a gentle half-smile.

"Know that you are welcome back if you ever wish to return." Ijara was beginning to feel more like himself then he had for a while. It was easy to slip back into his regular speech. "Though I do request that you have some discretion as to the Brotherhood's location? We like to keep fairly inconspicuous." As they walked, he pointed out the landmarks and sign markers that made up his home. These tunnels were his life.
But he stilled again when Hasierara mentioned Nahasi. "Lord Nahasi does not speak to me unless it has to do with matters of the Brotherhood, and even then I am usually his last resort unless it has to do with the tunnels." He paused a moment to think before speaking again. "But has thus far proved to be sympathetic to those in need, and did say I could come to him if I was having problems. Yes, I will seek his council if Bukera's actions persists."
Ijara shook his head "As far as I am aware, I am the only one. But I can check the records to see if anyone has logged any complaints against him." At Hasi offer he stopped dead in surprise. He blinked owlishly for a few seconds before composing himself. Ijara gave a small smile back "I think I might like that." He looked around to see where they had stopped. "Is there anywhere else you'd like to see?"

“I won't speak a word of it to outsiders.” He said with a nod. The brotherhood was a special place and he realized that. If too many rogues found the pride he was sure that trouble would follow them. He wanted to keep his nephew safe. Then he let out a sigh. He would be sure to talk to Ekaitz before leaving. It wished he could spend more time with his nephew, but he also didn't want to cause a situation with Buka. Eventually Buka would settle down, he was sure of it, and when it happened he would return to see his family.
He nodded his head. Buka didn't enjoy those in power, especially when it was lions. He would listen to the king though. Hasi hoped that it wouldn't come to that though.
Hasi smiled and shook his head. “I think I am fine, but thank you for your company. I think I will go talk to my brother. Next time I am in the area, perhaps you can show me more of the tunnels.” And hopefully next time Buka wouldn't be an issue, Hasi thought.
