Basically, this guide will help introduce you
to essential battle mechanics. Remember:
Only teens and adults can battle!

Only teens and adults can battle.
Teens have 75 HP by default while Adults have 100 HP by default.
Teens will roll 2D8 when attacking. Adults will roll 2D10.
Elemental effects are reflected by small bonuses or damage reductions.
Losing a battle ends in death. Not permanent death! Just the fun kind.
When you die, your body dissipates, and you come back as an egg!
Don't worry about growth reqs, though; you automatically grow to your original state.
Egg takes 12H, Infant another 12H, and then 24H as Teen or you stop there!
You can ignore this IC penalty, or use it to start RPs with previous stage art!

This is a battle card. Above, the diagram explains what each section of the battle card means.

this thread to be linked here if you would like to pay 4k to have one made for you! Otherwise, the .psd is available for your use.

Do not use this card template outside Sleepless without express permission.

Weapons provide additional combat boosts.
They come in two types: distributed and unique.
Distributed are often depicted as pins or accessories
which the user then activates during fights
and the pin transforms into their weapon.
Unique weapons have their own art,
but like the name says: there will only be one!
You do not need a weapon to fight.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxDistributed weapons are available in the MCM.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxUniques are only earned through events,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxand sometimes customs. They're rare!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAdults will have them far more often
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxthan teens will.

Achievements mark specific goals.
Battle-related achievements mark progress in battle.
Mostly they're fun collectibles!
Occasionally, they'll have special combat-boosts
or they'll grant unique elemental abilities.
These will have IC and OOC implications!
