- Henry "Hank" Pym was a brilliant young scientist who began as an early High School Graduate, enrolling at New York University at 16. Since then, his knowledge has risen steadily in many scientific fields. Late into his Undergraduate Degree, Hank was engaged in heavy research with his Professors when he discovered what became known as 'Pym Particles,' which enabled the changing of shape and size of certain objects.
Pym Particles were incredibly unstable at first, but slowly Hank perfected them until he tested the formula on himself, with immense success. Many of Hank's successes had already garnered success and fame for him in the scientific community, but Pym soon realized that he could become incredibly famous and possible wealthy if he shared his Pym Particles as well. Deciding the particles were far too valuable, he instead kept them a secret so they would not fall into the wrong hands.
After a short time, Hank finally realized there was a way for him to utilized the Particles and created a one-of-a-kind suit which could make his body both grow and shrink in size, dawning the alias 'Ant-Man.' In the year since he began in this form, Ant-Man has faced several villains but still has a very long way to go before his is full-fledged hero. One day, he hopes there will be no need for costumed crusading. All this fighting helps nothing in his eyes, so he is somewhat unsure of whether he is doing the right thing sometimes.
