R:1 Era has more spells than the World R:2, but the R:X era has a whole lot of technology to go on combined with new ways to warp reality. im glad some one has replied smile and honestly i only remember little of what i've seen and all i have seen was the very beginning of the very beginning. it was about the mage character not being able to log out and he/she ran into a female warrior who kinda followed him/her. and the mage got some kinda weird blob-ish type monster from a wierd chest and something about a dream like section of the world, something about a little girl maybe? care to help me set it up and maybe hook me up with somewhere i can watch the beginning episodes of the series?

Im certainly interested though i too would like to know what version of the world would be used. R:1 where //Sign and //Legend of the Twilight was featured with or R:2 with //Roots

I'd be interested in it too. And I believe .hack//sign was about a real girl playing a male mage (Tsukasa I think was the name of said character...) being unable to logout due to being in a coma or somesuch so "he" was stuck in the game. Then "he" was getting through these glitches in the game that ended up showing "him" Aura who was like a super glitch in the system... Or something like that. I haven't seen it in forever and now they've come out with that Sword Art Online that seems to have some similarities in it such as the glitchy computer game and certain characters being unconscious and therefore unable to exit their game session... I've yet to see much more than a couple episodes of SAO in all truth, but I think they're on season 2 right now so I'm WA~Y behind on that. Either way, I'm trying to figure out how it's not a similar story to .hack other than the faerie/sprites they're using. -le shrug- Let me know if this starts up though 'cause I'll join.

If you want to go with similarities(common grounds with Narnia aside or John Carter by the Author of Tarzan before that.) to anything, go with the Potter-world as introduced to us by J.K Rowling.(The Novels, Not the Movies aside from the tasteful Music in both.)
Keep in mind I was talking about in terms of worlds with common grounds in general, not individual Arcs of events for either one, although Ironically speaking there be overlap if you wanna talk the G.U era and the final 3 Harry Potter novels in fact.
I digress on that bit and for now I ought to go look for anyone else who'd still want in, since we're like a dying breed lately.
