Danny hummed as she hung her prom dress up in her closet, putting it to rest finally after a long time of staring at it and thinking about how pretty it was. It really didn't take much to entertain the ghoul.
Oh but Yin hadn't seen the dress at all! That was so sad. So so sad. Come to think of it, she hadn't seen Yin in quite some time- not even at prom, even though she knew he had gone. She picked out the suit after all! ... Well her mummy did, but that was besides the point.
After a short skip to the monster dorm, only to find out he wasn't in, there were only two places she could think he'd be. The gym, and Alex's dorm. The gym was farther away, so she decided to check Alex's dorm first.
She always hated the undead dorms though. They were so jackin' cold! Ugh, but oh well. Yin needed to see her dress. It was DIRE. She knocked on the zombie boil's door. "Alex is Yin in thereeee?"

Alex was getting ready to go in to work, and since he had left his work clothes in his room the afternoon before instead of changing at Yin's place, he had found himself back in his incredibly messy dorm, pulling off the clothes from the night before and throwing them on the floor before going into his closet and pulling out the appropriate attire. He'd just managed to finish buttoning up the vest over top of his shirt when a knock came at the door, and before he could even wonder who in jack's name might be stopping in, a Danny's voice rang out.
Frowning a little to himself, he reached into his closet and pulled out a black tie, before taking a couple of shuffling steps forward and pulling open the door. The room beyond Alex was a disgusting mess, bones and garbage and clothes littering the floor, and the smell was probably atrocious.
"Hello, Danny!" He said, offering her a warm smile, even as his eyes flicked down towards her tail. A lot of his pets had come to investigate who was at the door, probably hoping for more food handouts, but upon seeing the fire demon, many of them fled back into their nests of rubbish.
Undead creatures could sense the fiery danger, perhaps, or maybe they were just shy.
"No, Yin isn't here. He doesn't really like it down here very much. Too cold for him." He explained, while pulling the tie around the collar of his shirt and tying it up, adjusting it appropriately. "Do you need help finding him? He's probably at the gym or out jogging." Not that Alexander really had time to go on a weremantis hunt, but if it was some kind of emergency...

Danny frowned and said, "Awww man." She kicked the ground a little and turned around.
"I wanted to show him my prom dresssss," she whined, "You hogged him the whole timeeeee." It was playful, not accusing. She really had no problems with Alex.
She blinked a few times, staring off into space for a second, and then said, "Huh. What'd you do with him the whole time anyways?"

Alex was a little taken aback, pausing as he bent down to retrieve his shoes from his closet floor and blinking at the ghoul. Had he hogged Yin for the whole of prom? But..but he had gone off dancing with his friends and left Yin to his own devices! Well, Danny didn't really sound like she was angry with him, so maybe she was kidding around.
Wait, what had Alex done with him the whole time? It seemed like they had done barely anything at prom at all. One dance, a picture, some food. Oh, and a confession of love. That had been a little embarrassing.
"Weee, uhhh..." He struggled to answer her question, grabbing a hold of his shoes now and straightening back up before moving out into the hallway and closing the door behind him.
"Well we danced, and we ate some food...we had a picture taken, and then I guess we just...left and went back to his room for the night." He was probably leaving that last part wide open for Danny to make any assumptions that she wished without even realizing it.

"Sounds kinda like me and Rikki ... we didn't get a picture though." She slumped a little. She'd wanted one, but Rikki was too embarrassed. It was a cute side of him though, so Danny didn't mind.
She shrugged and said, "Sounds like fun." Unfortunately for Alex, Danny had no assumptions to make because she did the exact same thing. Only Danny and Rikki had probably made out a little more than Alex and Yin.
Danny had to admit she was a little curious about one thing. "Are you guys uh ... doing okay?" she asked vaguely. "Like ... I never see you guys holding hands or anyhting lately." Her hand on her chin, she was on her own train of thought now. "Actually, I don't even think I've seen you guys kiss. Is that weird?"

"It was fun." He agreed with an easy smile, assuming that she still meant prom and not anything that happened afterwards, because afterwards had been decidedly not fun at all.
Her question took him by surprise, and he was just about to open his mouth and tell her that they were absolutely fine, when she continued on, and his mouth snapped shut, and then he just stared at her.
Why. Why, Danny. Alex had been in such a good mood.
"We hold hands." He finally muttered, his tone slightly defensive. As for the kissing, well no, she wouldn't have ever seen that, and likely never would.
Is that weird?
"I--I don't think Yin would like me talking about this..." That was only partially true. It was Alex who didn't really want to talk about it. He didn't see how talking about it could possibly help.
"But ya, no, Yin doesn't like to do things in public. It uh..it upsets him." Because that totally explained the sheer lack of anything happening behind closed doors as well.

Oh my Jack. It upset Yin to do things in public? Her head reeled with all the times she'd hugged him and climbed on his back for piggy back rides and ...
Oh jack she must've been killing him!
"Really? Oh Jack I have to tell him I'm sorry ... I didn't know he was in such pain!" Danny said, biting her thumbnail. She was such a horrible friend. First she got Roch a terrible birthday present, and then she found out she was causing Yin pain every time she hugged him.
The world was going to end.

Pain? Well, mental pain perhaps, but certainly nothing physical. "Oh no, don't worry, Danny, I think it's only when I do it that he feels uncomfortable." Though honestly it was a little bit upsetting for Alex to see that the demon ghoul could get away with all those things in public when he couldn't. Only a tiny bit though, not enough for him to actually make a big deal out of it. He and Yin had already talked about it once, anyways, so he understood why things were different for them.
"Just uh..maybe back off a tiny bit? Just in case I'm wrong." Okay, maybe he would use this to his advantage and say something. Nothing wrong with that, nope.
Subject change time? Sure why not! "So how are you and Rikki doing, then? Everything okay with you two?" Not a big leap from current topic of conversation, but at least he was trying to take the focus off of him and Yin as he slowly began to shuffle away from his dorm room.

Danny nodded. She would indeed back off the touching and feeling. If it made Yin uncomfortable, she would do it for her friend! Honestly Danny had no idea she was being manipulated.
"Rikki? He's ..." Danny kicked the ground absently, both hands locked behind her back. "His mom has been really mad at him lately. I don't really know why, but he's been studying a lot lately." Truthfully, he was failing a class and his mom was pissed, but Danny didn't know the details and didn't want to.
She looked back up at Alex and said, "It's okay! I get to see him during club time ..." She smiled. Any Rikki was an okay Rikki. "But I'm more worried about Yin now! How can you guys like kiss and stuff if it upsets him?" Probably not what Alex had expected nor wanted her to say, but Danny was just trying to puzzle through it.

"That's great! Well, not the part about Rikki's mom. That kind of sucks." Alex knew all too well the feeling associated with dealing with an unimpressed parent. His own mom gave him grief over his inability to act responsibly when it came to money.
"I could probably help him with studying, if he needs it." Why not? He was already helping another student get caught up! That idea completely died in his mind, however, when Danny went back to questions about Yin. Oh she was worried about him? How nice and thoughtful of her
"You really don't....there's nothing to worry about!" He might have sounded slightly exasperated at this point.
"Look, okay, we don't kiss." Except for the one time Yin had let him, then that had been it. "We hardly do anything. Sometimes he'll hug me, and more often he will let me hold his hand though I know he doesn't really like it most of the time and...." Oh s**t, no! Was he actually talking about this?
"And I just....well, it's okay because I understand. He wants to just...take things slow." Painfully slow. But even that didn't really explain why Yin didn't enjoy the few things that they did do, and Alex didn't really think he could explain it if he was asked.
Anyways, there it was. He'd opened up....sort of. You happy now, Danny?

"That seems ... sad," was all Danny had to think about the predicament apparently. She couldn't imagine not having Rikki kiss her or cuddling when they were watching a movie or ... well a lot of things. She figured she'd still like him- it wouldn't change Rikki after all- but it would be ...
Sad.
She bit her lip and then said, "Well I dunno. Would you still like him even if he never touched you 'er anything?" She was comparing it to her own little imagination box to try and make sense of it. "I think it'd be sad ..." Sad sad sad.

"I knew what I was getting into when I agreed to be his bonded, and he knows what's expected of him as a boilfriend." Alex decided to leave out the part where he often wondered why Yin had agreed to it when most of it seemed to make him uncomfortable at best.
"It's not sad. It's just..." What was it? Was there even a word to describe it? Alex's hands found their way into his pockets as he shuffled along. "He makes me happy, and I think I make him happy, regardless.
"No, that's not the part that makes me sad. The only thing that makes me sad is the thought that...he'll just never have the same feelings for me that I have for him." Again, Alex was beginning to feel incredibly awkward even having this conversation.
"Of course I'd still like him. I still like him now, don't I?" He forced himself to smile, even of this stupid conversation had just dredged up some depressing thoughts.

And then Danny laughed.
"Alex have you MET Yin?" she said in between laughs, amused by the idea that Yin wouldn't feel strongly for Alex. "You said it made Yin uncomfortable, but he's still holdin' your hand and stuff! Of course he really loves you gosh."
She smacked his arm, maybe a bit stronger than the average ghoul would, and said, "'Course his feelings~~ are as strong as yours. Man you can be DUMB sometimes." This really was the kettle calling the pot black. She shook her head. Stupid Alex man! Even Danny could see it.
Still, she had to feel for the guy. "Just stick with him yeah? He tried to eat Princess Eva the first time they met y'know? Look where they are now!" It was no secret that Yin loved his rabo more than ... well anything.

She was...She was laughing at him! And while he stopped his steady slow shuffle to just stop and stare at her, the words she spoke...well, they actually made a lot of sense. Love advice from Danny could make sense. Who would have seen that one coming?
He grimaced away from the hit on his shoulder, even if it hadnt really hurt that much. "I'm not that dumb." he grumbled, mostly to himself as he lifted his hand up to rub at said shoulder, before offering the ghoul a pretty large smile. It would have been a lie to say what she had just said to him hadn't lifted his spirits in a much needed way.
"Thanks, Danny." He said, "I think I may have needed that. And I plan on sticking with him, so don't worry about that either."
He then paused for a moment, mulling over this latest bit of information before laughing himself. "He tried to eat Princess Eva? No way!" He just...really could not believe that. Yin really did love that rabo more then anything.

Danny nodded sagely, like she knew some prized info that Alex didn't know- info that was bound to save the universe.
"Yup. His mouth got all watery it was really gross," she said (though Danny probably thought it was gross just because of the water, not the drooling). "And he asked me if he could eat her."
She nodded again and said, "But I mean they're like inseparable now. He probably likes her more than he likes you and me combined. So just give him time, kay?"
