I'm sure spanking messed up a kid or two, but I also think it's a bit unprofessional that they never took the genetic predisposition/susceptibility and living environment into the equation. For the most accurate study that gets to the true roots of the issue, observation of family or family medical records and the living environments must also be done in addition to observing punishments.
