 Without much to do, as his siblings were all being watched over by his older sister Chazama or other lionesses of the pride, Gxila was left to his own devices. Of course, he too was suppose to be under the 'watchful' eye of his sister, but it was easy enough to slip away when she got overwhelmed by his sisters... probably the twins. Kania could be so annoying some times! And Kayin! Don't get Gxila started on Kayin. But then, he thought most of his siblings were annoying most of the time, mostly because the little black cub wanted to do what he wanted to do and nothing else. Well look where it got them. They were stuck with Chazama and he was out on his own. He turned around to stick his tongue out in the direction he had come from, before prancing off in his original direction.
Where would he go now? The possibilities were endless! ... As long as he didn't get caught by another lioness. Humph, they were nosy, and it wasn't even any of their business. Gxila'ize continued on this path until he found a really cool bunch of rocks that looked like they'd be fun to climb. They were tall, steep, and jagged looking, but all Gxila could think about was how awesome it would be to be at the top of them. Heh! He could be king of the rock! Without any further prompting the spitfire cub crouched down, wiggled his shoulders like he saw his mother or sister doing, and leapt at one of the smaller boulders near him. He was almost met with success too, but instead tumbled back down in a heap after scratching at the side of it and being unable to pull himself up. "Stupid rock, he grumbled, picking himself back up to glare at it. There had to be a way up there.

 Felo huffed and dragged his paws in frustration as he thought about the last couple events. Every single time he tried to get away from his siblings, something got in the way. First, there was the meat bag. Uggg, remembering the bird's rough feathers with that leathery skin had Felo snarling. Just...gross. That thing should not be allowed to walk around freely. It could damage others' eyes just lookin' at it. There wasn't much he could do about it since the bird's lion was an adult. Not that Felo actually would touch the thing. It might be infectious. So, he was left to return to his family. His second attempt to find peace had him tumbling through some logs. Not his most graceful moment, but he would never admit it. Unfortunately, he fell in front of a young lion. Talk about embarrassing! The shear fact that he fell in front of her and treated him like a child had Felo fluffed up to at least twice his normal size. No..no...He needed to calm down. A fluffed up Felo was not an image he wanted to present. Hopefully, now he would be successful and find something entertaining to do. His inner monologue kept his attention else where and he wasn't aware of where he was going. He paused a moment to take in the area. He spotted a couple lionesses lounging on some rocks a bit away. They were far enough not to be a problem. Of course, somebody always seemed to have eyes on him. It was infuriating. He didn't like to be a spectral when he couldn't control what they saw. Though, what was in front of him was a pile of rocks. They were rather large and could do something for Felo. He strolled up to them and examined their worth. However, he only had a second to look before some thing vaulted on the rocks from the other side, scaring Felo to death. He yelp, very undignified, and retreated from the area. A quick glance back told Felo that the thing was a cub. He halted and spun around to glare at him. How dare him scare Felo like that! Oh, Felo did not like surprises. He padded towards the cub and spatted, "What do you think you're doing?" Obviously, there was something wrong with his brain.

Ack! They were just so high that Gxila couldn't possibly get up there himself. At least not from this angle. The black cub lashed his tail out behind him, his round ears flattening. If there was only something he could stand on to make himself taller. He may have gone on with these thoughts, except he was startled by a yelp from the opposite side, and the black male back-peddled, his fluff standing on end. He hadn't realized anyone else was in the area!
Before he could do any investigating of his own, a little blonde fellow came strolling up to him, spitting words at him. Gxila had never seen this guy before, but that didn't stop him from laughing. "Climbing", he said between breathes. The laughter calmed only to make way for a smug grin, as the black cub drew himself up, jabbing a paw at the other cub's chest. "That wasn't you who squeaked, was it? Sounded like a girl." Granted, Gxila had been surprised too, but he hadn't squeaked.
Nonetheless his problem was solved. His smug grin turned genuine as he realized he could use this guy to his advantage. Hey! Stand still so I can climb these rocks." Yup, using the blonde cub to stand on would make him the perfect height for climbing. Gxila wasn't exactly thinking about what the blonde cub might want to do, or even that he may have said something hurtful, his attention was once again on the rocks.

He looked down his nose as he waited for an answer. The laughter confused Felo until he realized he was laughing at him. How dare this little twerp laugh at him! His upper lip twitched as a hint of his sharp teeth peeked through the gap. Felo's claws dug into the ground as the cub's laughter continued to infuriate him. He fluffed up and spat, "I did not sound like a girl," at the mention of the girly squeak. Ohhhh~ how Felo wanted to rip off that smug grin. It took all his strength to keep himself grounded. Though, he wasn't one to physically fight. No, that was far too barbaric. He will get back at this cub for making fun of him through different means. His ears flattened and a hiss escaped his clinched jaws as the cub prodded his chest. The muscles in his face contracted in agitation. Felo so wanted to claw him right now, but he held back. He repeated in his mind to wait and keep calm. Well, he was waiting, but the calm part wasn't there. However, when the cub told him (like he'd listen) to be a stepping stone, Felo's mind began to race. Oh, now this was interesting. Maybe Felo wouldn't have to resort to fighting. His fur started to relax and his snarling face shaped into concentration. Yes, yes. Felo will play the part of the stepping stone (which he would never do under any other circumstance) just to get a little pay back. He'd have to sacrifice a bit of his pride to have a mountain of rewards. However, Felo was still upset at the cub's earlier comment so the venom still lingered in his voice. "Fine, I'll allow you to use my services as long as I get to come to." Felo had no intention of climbing the rock, but he didn't want the other cub to know that he was planning to slip out from under neath him. Yes, a little bit of incentive on his part should convince him to step on Felo. He padded up to the lower part of the rock and hunkered down in anticipation of the added weight. "Just don't break my back, fatty."
