Breed: Kirinflutter harpy. (Mutant hippogryph, flutter & kirin.)

Herd: Astraeus is a member of The Flock. He does not hold a rank as he is a male.
Familiar: None yet.
Personality: Born into the flock, Astraeus is loyal and dedicated to his
mistresses. He will understand that as a male his only role is one which
entails he services the mares. He accepts these things with grace and has
no desire for a life outside of this.
Astraeus is bright and intelligent, with a curious nature
that, when piqued, will not let him to rest until he's satisfied it. He considers
himself somewhat of an inventor; or a tinkerer of sorts. He's always making
or crafting new things. When he finds something new, he doesn't rest until
he's made it or until a female tells him to stop.
He has a strange fascination with the sky; the stars and the constellations
they make up; the moon and its phases; even the clouds. However, his
fascination is purely knowledge based; rather than spiritual like some
females in the flock. Thanks to this fascination, he's more happy out doors
rather than in enclosed spaces and he's quite active at night when most are
sleeping.
Astraeus doesn't believe in the spiritual. He believes in logic and what he
can see and explain himself. He keeps this opinion to himself for the most
part, not wanting to offend anyone who may think oppositely of him.
For the most part Astraeus is happy and pleasant to be around. However, he
has moments when he's suck with a project that he's not as chipper as he
could be and sometimes may come off as rude. Most mares in the flock
have become used to his ways and know he means no disrespect, but there
are a few that believe it shouldn't matter and that he should show respect no
matter what.

 Born into the Flock after they moved to their new
territory, Astraeus' bright and keen mind was something that was evident
even as a child. The Priestesses and Oracle kept close watch over him;
concerned he would have the gift they all had; a gift that only females should
possess.
As time went by, it became clear that Astraeus was no threat and that his
mind was purely logical, closed off from the spiritual world. He was left to his
own vices and as he grew up, proved himself to be very useful with his
talents. He usually always had an answer for problems put forward to him
and was able to fix almost anything and if he didn't, he simply made
something that was better than the broken object.
After the Artisan's Guild was set up, Astraeus joined and was happy to be
able to work constantly without getting into trouble. Rather than craft
trinkets, blankets and the like, he crafted useful objects such as tools,
armor and devices for storage. That wasn't to say his work wasn't beautiful.
He took pride in everything he did and it was always in perfect, pristine
condition.
Along with his intelligence and skill, his beauty made him a well sought after
stallion in the flock and he was picked by Vanya to be a member of her
harem. He stays with her, though he resides outside the cave so he can see
the stars. He is very loyal to her, Risuleri, Taarab and the children and would
do anything for them without hesitation.

 Current Plots
Can He Fix It? Got a problem? Something that needs fixing?
Or just need something new? Astraeus is your stallion!
What nonsense Astraeus is a purely logical stallion. I'd like for him to
have a run in with a member of the Flock (male or female; though if female I
don't want him to get in trouble or punished. D: ) who believes in magic,
spirits and what not.
I..Impossible Something happens that shakes Astraeus' beliefs. He
simply cannot explain it! What is it? Love? Magic? Him being wrong?
Maybe You Shouldn't Do That Astraeus has started dabbling in
making weapons and armor after seeing some of the guards. How does the
Flock react? Is he permitted so long as he's watched carefully? Are his
crafts used?
Future Plots
For You.. Astraeus has a little crush on a mare in the Flock
(whether or not she reciprocates his feelings is another story). He's decided
to make her jewelry to show his favour. His mind is puzzled when he can't
seem to get anything right and he constantly tries to make it more complex
than it needs to be. In the end, he gives her something simple and not
expertly crafted. How will she react? Will she find the fact that he tried
sweet? Or will she laugh at his attempt?
Run! His intelligent mind has piqued the interest of a
priestess. Her spiritual mind mixed with his inquisitive mind has produced a
son with what they believe to be the gifts a Priestess should have. Terrified
for his life, they try and hide him from the sisters. (( This plot only goes
forward if he mates with a Priestess or someone with a more Spiritual side.
The child will NOT leave the Flock. He'll simply be watched very
carefully. ))
