Dragonfell... wasn't much to look at. It may have only been a couple day's travel away from Amityville, but you could see why nobody ever talked about it. The entire landscape was bleak and almost solidly white with snow and ice and the occasional bones that cracked when you stepped on them. Once or twice there may have been eyes watching from a distance, or a feeling of being watched, but if anyone was out there they didn't want to be seen. About the only real danger was sinking into a snowdrift. So far, it was kind of the opposite of adventure. All you've done is hike a circle around a mountain. Wasn't this place supposed to be, like, evil? You can barely remember the superstitious-sounding rumors. Near the front of the group, Aymet was unfolding a huge, old map that began to catch the wind like a sail. Unless he was asked, he wasn't volunteering much information about where they were going, or what had happened to him at prom. He 'needed another phylactery', whatever that entailed. Around one particular mountain there were a few Xs in red ink all around it, with one of them circled. A treasure map? "It should be here..." he mumbled, half to himself. You spot it before he does. A diagonal crevice in the rock, wide enough for several students to walk right in, and protected from snowfall by an overhang. It's definitely no ordinary cave - someone's taken the time to pile skulls on either side of the entrance. Now, that was more like it. Inside the cave was a short cliff and a huge chasm too dark to see the bottom of, taking up most of the visible space. On the other side of the void lay a set of glassy-looking blue doors. The only way across was a bridge of ice connecting the cliff to the entrance. You did sign up for action and adventure - it's probably here if it's anywhere. (( Once you're ready to proceed... )) THE ICE BRIDGE Crossing the bridge isn't as easy as it looks. The entire thing begins to shudder under the weight of so many people. You hear an ominous cracking below your feet, and all around you. The bridge is collapsing! Can you make it across? ROLL ONE 6-SIDED DIE!* * unless you have wings, in which case now is a good time to use them. If you can fly, you can choose your outcome!1-3: Before you get too far the ice shatters and you go plummeting down into the dark. [Proceed to this thread!] 4-6: Ice keeps breaking under every step but you somehow fling yourself to the other side in time! A pair of huge, almost transparent ice doors would be barring your entry, but there’s a few monster skeletons lodged in to keep it open a person-sized crack. As you pass through, you could swear you see them twitching... On the other side is a spiral staircase carved out of the rock that leads down into darkness. [Stay in this thread!]

(( Hello and thanks again for signing up for this plot! This is a dungeon adventure, so be prepared to fight! Turns/responses will be every 12-24hrs, loosely. Don't sweat it if you miss one, or if you get unexpectedly busy. You can always catch up or participate when you can. Always feel free to post reactions and conversations before proceeding to the dicerolls in the quote boxes. If at any time you've got questions, feel free to PM me (iizbot) or quote me in the main thread with your question. This is my first time running a big plot like this in TIH so please let me know if you're having trouble with anything. In order for me to keep track of what's going on with so many people, I'd appreciate if people can use certain text colors so that I can more easily find what to reply to. You can attack bosses once every round, unless otherwise specified. However, you have unlimited reactions! Please see the battle guide and learned ability guide for more information. To interact with the setting, please quote me (iizbot) and use bold red text for your action. You never know what you might learn or find! And then again, sometimes you won't find anything. You can only interact with the setting outside of battles because otherwise I am going to go insane LOL. To interact with Aymet, please quote me (iizbot) and use bold blue text for your action. Your character doesn't need to know him or ever even talk to him during the plot - he's going to be here doing his own thing. NOW LET'S RP YEAAAAAAAAAAH )) Huni Pi Petro, half of Tess, other half of Tess

The trip had been fairly inconspicious so far; the rather large group had been travelling for a few days time by now, and Leo was quite enjoying herself. She finally felt some sort of school spirit from participating in things! Although, to be honest, this wasn't really a class-related trip, but more of a help-out-a-schoolmate-with-his-vague-but-important-quest. Which was totally fine in her opinion, because helping out other people was always important; and it was a good opportunity to meet new people! Plus, well, the promise of an adventure wasn't too bad.. She couldn't quite deny that that was an attractive prospect in this whole thing too. What teenager didn't like adventure?
So all in all, Leo had been pleased as punch these last few days, even though the snow in this place was horrid. She'd had to keep to other people's footsteps most of the time to avoid getting snow all over, but that wasn't so bad in a group as large as this. She just kinda stuck to the back and voila, a nice path emerged! Yep, this was definitely an easy adventure.
Really, she could keep doing this for days. Leo, apparently, did not set high standards for when something was 'fun'. Although, well, she had expected a bit more excitement and perhaps even some battle action.
But it seemed now she'd get some of that excitement! The skulls by the cave had been a nice touch, and inside she admired the blue doors on the other side. The ice bridge wasn't too bad either! Personally she felt that things might be livening up now that they were doing something other than hiking in a circle around a mountain. Not that she'd disliked the hiking, mind.
And so she made her way across the bridge with the others. Or well, tried, because soon the thing was ominously shuddering and cracking all around them. "Oh Bloody Mary." She felt slightly queasy - that was not a nice-looking chasm. It was times like these she envied those of her peers who had wings. Still, she had to make an attempt to get past!

Petro had never been one to refuse someone's request for help. Whether it had been direct or through someone who heard someone who heard someone was in need. Which was why the tikbalang was here, thankfully dressed for warmth for once. After his escapades in Christmas Town and that treacherous Open Class involving bears, he'd learned and come to accept that there were instances he needed to wear clothes.
Shoes were still a different matter, which was why he'd opted to shift into his real form seeing as how they weren't going to be in Amityville. A wise decision as the bridge suddenly gave way beneath their feet and hooves clattered noisily on the ice. He flung himself forward, managing to squeeze through the gates at the last minute.
He wasn't sure how many of them managed to make it through safely.

((ignore the roll, Tess has wiiiiings and is carrying Legs~))
She wasn't sure what she was doing here, just that she knew this would be an instance that would force her and her lower half to work together. But to be sure, she had managed to convince her boilfriend to come along. She stayed close to the dragon boil, mildly wary of their surroundings and of the cold.
Oh Jack that bridge did not look safe. And the ominous crack proved her right. Rather than risking it and making a break for it, the ghoul severed herself, causing the wings to rip out of her back in the process. She hoisted her lower half onto her shoulders, relieved when Legs did not put up a struggle as she flew towards the other end.
"Sheridan?!" she called out.

Tyshina had not been able to sleep a wink for awhile in preparation for this trip. Since who could sleep with an adventure about to be had.
Though now that it was happening, she still couldn't believe it. It had been what seemed like a few days since she left her new campus, to travel to somewhere else new. Luckily on this adventure though, there was a large group of people accompanying her. She wasn't alone like she was back school when she explored the campus.
To sum it all up she was more excited then the day she learned her first circus trip! This was a wonderful adventure and they hadn't even really been on the adventure for to long, at least to her. Though she could have cared less, since the cold weather felt wonderful to her - and it was strange. Wasn't fire supposed to not feel good in cold? Weren't they supposed to be polar opposites? Yet she felt refreshed and even more eager to continue!
As she took her first step into the cave she noticed the skulls and a huge grin came about. "Nice, I'm liking it here already," she said under her breath with a slight chuckle as she quickly followed behind the group she was with.
It was time to cross the bridge and so with all her might she took her first step and hoped she would make it. "I can do it..." she whispered to herself as she smiled and took one more step with her other foot.

Oh boy! An adventure! Siobhan's eyes were the size of saucers, her smile reaching her ears. The banshee squealed and frolicked the whole way, burying herself in snow or simply skipping along behind the group. The cold didn't bother her in the slightest, despite her attire.
Once they found the cave she was even more giggly. This really was an adventure! She followed after the others over the amazing Ice Bridge, stopping to admire the pretty cracks as they formed and made noises.
"Woooooow! This is so coo--OOOOOAAAAAYEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!"
Banshee fell down the hooooole.

((Jericho uses fly!))
Tiamat's s**t this place was cold as balls. The thick cloak he brought wasn't helping a whole lot, but it didn't help that this dragon was chilled rather easily. But, he felt that he should be helping Aymet out. Granted, it took a hell lot of thinking for him considering the potential dangers of such an adventure. The dragon in him was kind of craving something like this though, especially since he had practically locked himself away for months.
The ice bridge made him nervous, and rightfully so as it actually began to crumble beneath them. Without hesitation, he spread his wings and flew on to the other side. There, he turned around and tried to see who else had made it. They had a fairly sizable group with them, but this was good in his mind. But that wasn't going to mean much if they lost most of them to this bridge.

((Tseng falls!))
"WHOOOOOOOO! Adventure! But sooo cold," Tseng shouted before shivering, rubbing his arms furiously. The bridge started to crack, but that didn't sound like a problem. He just tried to flip towards the ending.
He almost made it to the other side. Unfortunately, the ice where he landed cracked and he ended up falling straight into the darkness.
"AAAAH!!"

Amrita liked the cold, but this was...excessive. The longer they were in the snow it seemed that the less she felt okay. Her limbs were starting to feel pretty heavy at this point, regardless of the more winter-like clothing she had donned for the occasion. Plus, she couldn't feel her feet. Even though she was Undead, that was...kind of a big thing. She couldn't feel her feet, so she couldn't feel the difference between the safe ice, and the slippery ice. When the cracking happened she thought she'd be okay...
And, of course, she thought wrong.
With a strangled cry she slipped, falling right through the cracks after so many others.

((Shun falls too!))
It might have been a little odd to see the Reaper wearing a coat that wasn't his usual leather jacket, but Mitsu had made him bundle up a fair amount for this venture. She had even packed him a lunch. Though, he brought some other things along as well, not sure what this outing would entail.
Apparently it would involve a falling bridge. Shun didn't have a chance to really speak with Aymet, as he realized the ground below him was falling apart. Before he could shadowstep to safety, he found himself plummeting down into darkness.

Ulmuka had just been too curious about the dragon boil who fell to pieces at prom. He was glad to see he was fine but the curiosity remained when he learned that he could pitch in a hand to help him. Exotic Halloween locales? Well not exactly exotic, dreary and cold was just as nice and the strix had taken to his natural form to protect against the elements while they'd trudged through the snow. White stuck to his feathers and a bit of ice decorated his brows. At the bridge he simply quirked and watched in distress as students proceeding him fell into the depths. "AH!" He extended a wing, squawking, but when he took off to help he realized they were gone. Would they be okay? He couldn't see the bottom! Better safe than sorry. Ulmuka simply flew across the gap and shuffled through the doors. Did those skeletons just move? On the other side he patted Petro on the arm with a grin. "Safe and sound, hmm?"

(( Sheridan is FLYING )) Sheridan was untroubled by the cold, even wearing no winter clothing (he possessed no such clothing) one would wonder if he even felt the cold. In truth, the dragon found the cold, ice, and snow refreshing, reminiscent of the high mountain tops on which he'd spent his childhood and a welcome relief from the heat. As such it had taken little convinced from Tess to bring him off on this adventure. But now as he looked over the ice bridge, an brow raised, tail twitching, yeah, there was no way he was setting foot on that bridge. Lucky for him he had wings. "Right behind you." Wings spread, Sheridan took flight with a single beat, gliding across the chasm easily, taking a moment to relish the feel of cold air under his wings. Oh jack, Tro was taking the bridge! Of course he was, his friend had no wings, or at least no wings of his own. A call of 'Hurry up, Tro!', Sheridan sailed behind his friend, ready to dive and snatch him from the air should the horse boil fall. A sigh of relief as he realized he would not need to do so, turning to glide through the doorway on wing edge behind his friend and joining his ghoul on the other side. Wings folded, he settled to land beside Tess, giving her a small smile. "That wasn't so bad." ....yet

((Sibyl made it across!))
To some, Dragonfell wasn't much to look at. To Sibyl? It was incredible. It was just like home but a little creepier and with a lot less water and beaches. She didn't care about rumors, she didn't care that it was supposed to be evil, all Sibyl saw was that this place was made of ice and snow. It was made of things to play with. Slide on. Dance in.
She was a very happy ghoul right now.
She snuggled into her furry cloak and skipped alongside Aymet and the rest of the group, singing a happy little song with no real rhyme, reason or even lyrics to it until they reached the ice bridge. She blinked, looking down and watching as student after student fell through the bridge. Sibyl gasped, mittened hands flying to her face. Oh no!
It came her turn and she swallowed hard, looking all around. An idea. She needed an idea..
She clutched at her pelt for comfort, whimpering quietly.
...Waaaaaait..she's got it!
Sibyl ran away from the group, disappearing through the path they had just come from.
Where did she...?
"WHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~!" Suddenly she was back. A blubbery 3-foot-long seal with her clothes tied to her back sliding down the path. She hit the bridge, using it as a ramp to throw herself to the other side.
Like a boss.
