I believe the last date to submit points for the 2011-12 Club Nintendo year ends ended on June 30th, which means they should be announcing the rewards for those of us that reached Gold or Platinum status soon. While we wait, how about we guess (or hope) what they will be.
Gold has always been a desk calender, so I think it is safe to assume that it will be the same this year.
Platinum rewards have usually been good. Usually they're unique items that you can't find anywhere else. Last year, Japanese members got a cool looking Mario Pillow.

Last year, North American members got a set of pins commemorating Mario's 25th anniversary. I predict that this year's rewards will tie in with another series anniversary. The Legend of Zelda's has already passed, but the Symphony of the Goddess tour is still in progress, so maybe the soundtrack from that would be an option.
Metroid's 25th was completely overshadowed by Mario and Zelda, but a Metroid themed reward would be cool. How about a golden Samus statue?
My last (and most likely to happen) prediction is something to tie in with Kirby's 20th anniversary. Nintendo is already releasing a game collection for the Wii, like what they did with Mario.
This is wishful thinking, but it would be nice if Nintendo released the 10 GBA titles into the e-Shop, or at least gave people a chance to get them. giving them away as an option for those who reached platinum status doesn't seem like an unreasonable request. Nintendo has already proven that they can distribute free (as in, you don't use cash) games. They would just email you a code that would unlock those titles when you put it in the e-shop.
Enough of my rambling! What do you hope to get?

I apparently have Platinum status~. I think the bulk of my points came from registering my 3ds and filling out the surveys for eshop and Ambassador games. I think I racked up 800 - some points. I hadn't bothered with Club Nintendo until last year, so I'm not sure what to expect gift wise. I hope it's something nifty.

I reached platinum on May 19. ^^ Colors! 3D was the last thing I registered to get me to platinum, actually. I wonder what the prize will be this year? I liked the little Mario pins they gave out last year, those were nice...
Yes, Kirby related please! If any of you know me at all, you must know that I am a big Kirby fan. 4laugh
Although I'm perfectly fine with something Zelda or Metroid related. biggrin

I got platinum a while ago, largely because I got my 3DS this cycle and plundered all my old games for codes because I hadn't registered them before.
Also remember, points values are changing July 1st too! Some are better, some are worse (its largely the eshop surveys that are worse.) Get your surveys done!
I honestly wasn't that impressed with the American prizes last time, either gold or platinum. I think if you get plantinum you should get both, sometimes I like the gold one better sweatdrop
I like the other cool free stuff I can get with coins though. I keep hoping we'll get to buy Kid Icarus booster packs like Japan and Europe crying
That Mario pillow is pretty awesome.
God I'd be so happy if it was something Kirby anniversary related.

So these seem very Mario-centric. I hope they break the trend. I guess a calendar is nice, but I don't know why you'd want that over the platinum reward.

I think the first Platinum rewards is America were the Mario Hat and Punch Out. I remember that it was the first time I hit platinum status, largely because of the games I had accumulated beforehand.
On a separate note, I noticed that the Post Play surveys for my downloads were still 10 points a piece. I'm assuming that the point reduction only applies to the initial regestration (which I always miss anyways).

How long does it usually take for them to announce the prize for Platinum? I think I remember last year it took them only 1 day to announce it, but maybe my memory is wrong. It's been 6 days so far.

As an additional option, Games have been offered as an option

I'm not really impressed with this year's offerings (compared to other years), but I got a lot of other cool things with my 600 points, so this is just the icing on the cake. I think I might go with the playing cards.

I guess its cool they're offering free game choices in addition to the regular rewards in case you really don't like any of them.
I'm not sure what to choose... the cards honestly look rather busy and ugly. The posters are cool, but not really anything exciting to me. I'll probably end up going with the cards or Majora's Mask.
I guess you do have to keep in mind this is a freebie on top of whatever other free stuff you got with your coins. I just wish I'd been around for the Super Mario characters figurine sweatdrop
Its currently down for maintenance so I can't pick now anyway sweatdrop

Its kinda hard to tell from the picture, but someone pointed out that the cards are clear and have metallic gold and silver on them. So they're at least cooler than regular cardstock. Maybe they look nicer in person.

Well i dunno if this was from club nintendo, i don't know anyone who would send me this...
But it was a mario shirt was red and i believe has the mushroom (maybe on a pipe) and it says "ONE MAKES YOU LARGER" @_@ I thought it was the plat status gift, so i logged onto the site and it told me to pick my reward. Nothing caught my eye execpt posters.
