Zatarra stretched his legs. It was his first day alone with his mom. His brother and sister were with their dad and his mate--Ellilal, but Zatarra had chosen to stay at home with his mom so that he could spend some time with her alone.

He was quiet like her and his colour was so very similiar. He had his father's wings and spots. If it wasn't for the wings, he'd have thought that Banzai might be his dad. It was...confusing to say the least when his mom had explained everything to him. It was a lot to try to wrap his head around--he had three dads and one mom, but he was only related to one of them. His mom had some missing family, and he could go back and forth between his parents. He had four siblings on his dad's side and two on his mom's mate's side.

He shook his head trying to clear his thoughts as he came up to his mom. He nuzzled her neck gently, "Momma. What are we doing today?"

Zatarra wiggle excitedly. It was his choice! He didn't know what he wanted to do though, but it was exciting to have the opportunity. He struggled to come up with an idea, but he didn't know really. "I don't know momma, I just want to hang out with you. Can I maybe show you how I glide? I learned to glide, not fly yet. I want to...but it's been a little slow."

He was smaller in stature like his mom, and he found the act of gliding soothing. He was almost not sure if he actually wanted to learn to fly--it didn't seem far in some ways since his mom couldn't or Banzai. But...he had wings, and he should use them and he could keep up with Itzel and Azland.

Even Banzai was gone today, it was nice to just have his mom to himself even if he felt a little more open and less protected with only the two of them there. He was so use to everyone being around all the time.

Zatarra loved when his mother called him Za. Anything sounded beautiful and magical on her lips. He hadnt' yet mastered saying his name quite the same way she did--with a sense of power and wonder. He wondered if it was a talent that only his mother had or was it all mothers?

He took off running a few steps, his hooves skimming the ground as he gave a mighty flap. He felt his feet pulling off the ground and he gave another flap as he pulled his legs further up.

Exteneding his wings fully, he let himself glide. He tilted the feathers at the edges to drift slowly back to earth. He hadn't gone far up or very far, but he loved the feeling.

"Mom! Mom! Did you see?"

Zatarra knew that his mother was acting strange, but he hadn't understood why. But now, he did. She knew that one day, he would leave. He'd told her so often that he wouldn't--but she had told him time and time again that it was natural to leave when one was older. He had to follow his heart. He knew that it would be a great pain to her, a great loss--but she said that it was necessary to let go of something that you loved and let it fly free.

He flapped his wings slightly and settled them by his side, "What is it mamma?"

"Why would she want to do that?" But he knew, because of Gallahad. Gallahad had come to his mother lost and without purpose, and she had gave him one. She had been his saving grace, giving him something to do when he was down and out. They had formed a bond, and he was like a pesky brother. At times, they had been the only family each other had. And now his mate wanted to bond to him, to share that familiar bond--to share a connection and travel. It was so if something happened wherever he went, he would have someone.

"So Chastity wants to bond to me?"
