Blackreach was a dwemer city built underground in the northern center of Skyrim. It is a vast cavern filled with entrances to other ruins and elevators to the surface of Skyrim. The cavern is covered with lights on the ground so the mages could see easier while the roof of the cavern is lit up brightly by large glowing mushrooms. Also, scattered across Blackreach are small veins of a or that would be able to make a soul gem. In the center of Blackreach is a large grouping of buildings around a large orange glowing orb hanging from the ceiling. This was the silent city.
The Silent City was the new base for the mages from Winterhold who now call themselves the Dwarven Inquisition. It took a little work to clear the Falmers out which woke Vulthuryol. With the threats handled, The mages used the Debate Hall to debate actions. They use the Hall of Remination as their experiment and studying hall. The near by War Quarters were a dorm to the Dwemers and served as a dorm for the Mages too. After a little fixing, they were able to fit and organize enough beds. it was only temporary that they would use the War Quarters since it was small. They also have a new alchemy station thanks to Sinderion's previous research lab.

Astien was, of course, getting himself into trouble. He had mouthed off to one of the newer mages, as he tended to do, and was currently getting lectured. The Mages who had been there much longer than the rookie were backing away, not that he noticed. Astien's powers tended to flare up when his emotions did, and seeing as he had so much magicka to spare...
Well, the results didn't tend to be pretty.
Astien was trying to keep a grip on his temper, and moved to walk away, when the man grabbed his shoulder and told him that he wasn't done talking yet. "Just because you're the Archmage's Apprentice doesn't mean you can do whatever you want! You need to learn to behave you little brat!" Astien really, really couldn't take another moment of this lecturing, finally losing hold of his temper as his magicka flared up, eyes brightening and flames licking at his hands and flaring up around his arms. The man jumped back as a circle of fire flared around his feet. The bright flames weren't harming Astien, but they would certainly harm anyone else who touched them. "Can't you just shut up already? You're annoying me you stupid brute." He really had no respect for the new Nord that had irritated him, especially due to the fact that he had just tried to remain calm through a five minute lecture on respecting his elders.
──────────────────────────── ☆☆☆─────
Oh Odd Child: And there goes Astien, getting into fights with new members that don't know to leave him alone. I doubt he'll be blamed for it thought, because Astien didn't really start it.

Seregon Gajasha ══════════════════════════════ Magicka isn't just about power Seregon sighed as he heard Astien yelling from a distance. Seregon picked up the pace in his walking. Just as he thought the boy had started a fight with another nord. His hatred for nords are really going to start getting in the way of controlling his powers. Seregon aimed his staff at Astien to drain the magicka out of him until his flames had disappeared. Seregon walked up to the boy and knelt down "How would you like to hear a story?" He asked calmly. Hoping it would distract the boy from the newcomer. Lucky him, Seregon had known the boy for so long, he wouldn't have to worry about the boy attacking him. Astien's attention was wrenched away from the Nord when he felt something start to drain on his magic. His flames spluttered and died as he whirled around to see Seregon. Astien's focus now elsewhere, it helped the flames stay extinguished. He still had plenty of magicka left after being drained of some of it, so at least he wasn't tired. The edge in his amber eyes vanished when Seregon approached and knelt down in front of him.
The offer of a story did indeed distract him as Seregon thought it would. Had it been anyone else, he probably would've refused, but Seregon's stories were the best. "...Alright Lizard," he agreed, focus now totally on his Mentor. The Nord mage he had been arguing with looked rather stunned that he talked like that to the Archmage as well, though made no move to tell him off this time and instead used the time to leave and get well out of Astien's range.
──────────────────────────── ☆☆☆─────
Oh Odd Child: I wonder if he would be a touchy-feely kind of person, like piggyback rides and occasionally tackle glomping Gwen. Because that could be fun. Plus I've been thinking it might help him kind of 'feel' the magicka of others, like see if they have any and such? Dunno if mages can do that though... Hrm....

Seregon Gajasha ══════════════════════════════ Magicka isn't just about power "Lets head back to the hall" He told Astien with a smile. He stood up and gave a quick look at the new mage "He's more then a apprentice to me." He walked off and beckoned Astien to follow. He walked through the base to the Hall of Debate, where the first floor was a row of benches facing toward a stage with a small pedestal.next to the stage as a stair way that rode long the wall to a second floor. The second floor had only one room, Seregon's bedroom. Seregon lead Astein to his bedroom. Seregon had one double bed, a dwemer desk filled with notes, a enchanting table, and a alchemy table. "Okay..." He let out a sigh as he dug through his desk. "This story is about hatred." He dug through is desk and pulled out a document on current day Morrowind. "Morrowind use to be a great place." He pulled out a sketch of how Vvenderfell use to look. "However, Red Mountain erupted and the army of Black Marsh invaded. They invaded because their hatred against the Dunmer for enslaving our people." He placed the sketch back and pointed to a painting of current day Vivec City, Morrowind's capital. it was in ruins from the attack on them after the several disasters. "It's not much of a story but a lesson. It shows just what hatred does especially if you have great power." Seregon knew this probably wouldn't entertain the boy considering t wasn't a story. He'll come up with one later. Balance and control is key (OOC: ) Location: Silent City Company: Astien

Astien trailed after Seregon as they entered his room, sticking near his Mentor as he searched through his desk. He looked at the intricate details of the sketch he was shown, the city looking lively and liveable. It was a big difference from the painting on his wall, of the ruined capital city. A capital ruined by hate. The Dunmer had enslaved the Argonians, and had been attacked by them during their time of weakness and need. All that was left was ruins. A lesson in how hate only caused pain and destruction, especially if it consumed those with a lot of power. Power he possessed.
"That wasn't a story Scales," huffed Astien. That was most definitely not a story, that was a history lesson. Still, at least he had listened, which was more than anyone else would've gotten. "And I still don't like Nords." Oh well, at least Seregon had tried. Even better was that Astien had understood what he was trying to tell him, even if he really didn't take it to heart.
He had deep-seated issues with Nords, issues that stemmed from being raised in a Nordic orphanage and being mocked constantly for his magical powers. The Adults never did anything to stop it, and instead scolded him whenever he had used his powers. It was a wonder he hadn't accidentally burnt the place down sooner. Still, he would have to overcome his issues with the 'brutes' eventually.
Just not today.

Oh Odd Child:Astien is either going to find the compaions interesting (if he figures out they're werewolves, he's pretty smart), or hate them on sight.
Also, would he know/have figured out that Gwyn was a vampire? (mages aren't terribly judgy, so I didn't know if he would want to hide it or not), becaue if he knows then he could call him 'Fangs' or somesuch nickname. He would call the werewolves mutts I think.

Seregon Gajasha ══════════════════════════════ Magicka isn't just about power Seregon smiled. At least he listened. "Fine, lets find a story book then." Seregon got up from his chair and walked to the dwemer wardrobe. The wardrobe was filled with books considering that he only wore two sets of clothes. He just switches them out when the other one needs a wash. "Okay..." He said to himself "What do we have here?" He dug through the pile of books. Running into both copies of The Lusty Argonian Maid. He quickly placed both on the top of the dresser and looked back at Astein to make sure he didn't see. How did those two get in his collection? Eventually he ran into Kolb and the Dragon. He walked to his desk and made some room. He read out the pages to Astein while he made the choices. However, Seregon changed the protagonist's race to a orc so he wouldn't hate the book that much. Balance and control is key (OOC: Damn creepy book. How you get there? You pick the choices you want him to do. Well, he could have noticed the fangs but not know what a vampire is just yet. Astien was much more interested in this book. It was about slaying an evil dragon, and he even got to make his own choices! It started with an Orc named Kolb, who was sent forth by his Chief to keep his village safe. He was told to go through the mountain pass to reach the Dragon, so he set off. He carefully walked along the narrow trail and came upon a wisemans camp. They shared a meal and the kind man told him two ways to get to the dragon. He chose the path through the marsh, which may not have been a good idea seeing as he came upon a wailing spirit!
Astien took a little longer to decide what to do on that choice than others, thinking through what he had learned of the things. Not much, but he knew that attacking one without magic wouldn't do much, if anything. He opted to throw some coins at it, and it worked! The spirit vanished and he was free to continue on his way! It was almost cute, how much thought the boy was putting into his choices now. Astien was almost to the lair now, but there was a tempting tavern nearby. Even so, Astien was far to excited to get to the dragon and decided to pass it and head up the mountain. Luckily for him, seeing as Kolb would have died had he entered the tavern.
So up the mountain Kolb went and he encountered a sleeping dragon! From the stories of the dragon born he had heard in the orphanage, he could guess what he had to do. Kolb went for the dragon's neck, managing to saw off it's head and return to his village victorious. "Yes!" Astien grinned, clearly happy that he had managed to beat the dragon. He did love it when Seregon read him stories, he had a way to make them come to life, and it was even better when he had books like Kolb and the Dragon that Astien could participate in as well.

Seregon Gajasha ══════════════════════════════ Magicka isn't just about power Seregon gave a smile at Astien. Thank goodness he liked the book."Okay. That's it for story time. I have to do a bit of work..." He paused to think of who could handle the boy for a quick moment. He used Gwyn's curse to blackmail him into babysitting the powerful kid. However, Gwyn wasn't in Blackreach right now. Maybe Astien could entertain himself if Seregon did some quick work. "You can handle yourself for now. I'll only be gone for a quick second to find some soul gem veins." He said as he placed the book back. He took the two books from on top the wardrobe and placed it at a shorter shelf where Astien use to not be able to reach. Too bad Seregon was too busy to realize that Astien had grown tall enough to reach it. "You can help yourself to the books just don't cause trouble or else you're grounded." Grounded on Astien's terms mean his magicka being drained and being stuck in the room where Seregon would be studying to pass the time. With that said, Seregon left the Silent City and began his journey to mine out ores. Occasionally running into falmer that weren't a problem due to his lightning and healing magick. Astien pouted when Seregon threatened to ground him if he caused any trouble. Groundings were the worst! He hated being left without his magicka, and the fact that he either had to stay quiet or study only added to the punishment. Oh well, at least he would be back soon. Until then he could read, and he did have his eye on two certain books...
He walked over to wardrobe and looked at the books on the shelf above him. He had gone through a growth spurt recently, so if he stood on his tip toes he was able to get a grip on the two books his mentor had tried to hide from him. He tugged them down and flopped onto the edge of Seregon's bed, setting them down next to him so he could get a better look at them. The titles were a little odd though, what was a Lusty Argonian Maid? A lizard that cleaned? Maybe an adventuring lizard that cleaned!?
He bet it was a good story if his mentor had it, and flipped open the very short first book to the first page and started to read. It was written in a play format, and was actually quite confusing. Astien tried to read it, but he just didn't understand! What kind of book was all about polishing weapons and cleaning? Who had that much fun cleaning anyways, it was boring! These people were weird!
He decided to give the second book a try, only to find that it was no better! Baking? Really? These had to be the most boring books ever written! Besides that, he really didn't understand a lot of the words they used. Still, he didn't bake so that was probably why. Astien was still confused though, why would his mentor have such boring books? Did the Lizard like to bake in his spare time?
Oh well, he didn't want to get caught with these books out, even though his mentor had told him to read. He put the second one back where he had found it and slipped the first one into a pocket on the inside of his robe. It was a small book, so it didn't show. Besides, he wanted to ask Fangs about it when he got back.

Gwyn Morredor _______________________________________________ Hello, I am Gwyn, A few mages carrying the weapons joined them as the elevator descended after Gwyn pulled the lever in the middle of the elevator. As the cogs in the corner turned and lowered the platform, the mages presented the weapon. A crossbow that had been enchanted with drain health, A sword that extended and shrank to switch from sword to dagger, A pair of gauntlets that had four blades at the end, and dwemer shield made from the shell of a sphere guardian that was enchanted to shock whoever struck it. They explained the weapons believed use and that they hadn't had the skill to use them. "Now, we have intel that there is a tower near by (Reeking Tower) with Falmer camp at the bottom and Frostbite Spiders inside and above the tower. A simple extermination task with minimum risk." Gwyn explained as the elevator came to a stop "After that, we'll head to the Silent City's Debate Hall to rest" He casually walked off the elevator. It was hard for him to see in the dark so he used his Vampiric Sight to adjust his eyes, causing them to light up. Most of the mages passed it off as a night sight spell. This part of the Blackreach hasn't exactly been conquered by the mages so it wasn't lit up with torches or magical lights. You will follow my orders! (ooc: ) Location: Elevator to Raldbthar .

The fighters trailed after Gwyn as the decided who would use what weapons. It didn't take long for them to choose- their ranged fighter got the crossbow, their speed fighter the sword/dagger, the power fighter got the gauntlets, and Eiruki took the shield. Their eyes looked like wolf eyes in the darkness, bright gold and formidable as they scanned the area for enemies.
It didn't take long to find the Falmer, the wolves could smell and hear them from a distance. The falmer could, of course, hear them as well. They weren't very stealthy with their armor on after all. The wolves pulled out their weapons and, after a moments planning, quickly exterminated everything outside of the tower. They worked in groups of two , often swapping members between them. Eiruki protected the member with the crossbow as he fired, killing anything that got near. The duo with the sword/dagger and gauntlets simply tore through the enemies they came across, exterminating them.
With that taken care of, the group switched and headed into the tower. This time Eiruki was in the fighting, slamming falmer with her shield and finishing off the stunned creatures while the speed and power fighters worked together to thin out the group of enemies. Multiple crossbow bolts would kill off any ranged fighters from a distance, as well as any spiders that got close. All in all, it was a rather impressive sight.

Gwyn Morredor _______________________________________________ Hello, I am Gwyn, Gwyn gave a smirk at the work they were doing. They did a rather excellent job at the extermination. Gwyn handled the stragglers in private because he used his draining spell to finish them with the exception of one especially unfortunate one which had the blood drained out of his body. Once the job was finished, they rondevou outside the camp a followed the stone road to the Silent City. a few weak falmer here and there. Trying to regain their habitat. Near the city, he turned off his vampire's sight since their were enough lights on the ground to see where they were headed. He lead the group through the city while some mages kept a eye on them. The groups eyes seemed more normal once they were in the well lit city, though the mages still kept a firm eye on them. Probably because they were well armed companions. Once they reached the debate hall the group sat opposite of Gwyn to tell him what they thought of the weapon. They each stated their own experience, starting with the crossbow wielder. The weapon had worked well, though they did have some concerns that it would require specially fitted bolts and possible oilings to keep it running normally. The gauntlets, as it turned out, could retract the blades to a fitted space above the knuckles. The sword/dagger didn't seem to vary in thickness or strength when it was used, though the hilt thickened when the sword retracted. Eiruki's shield had worked like a charm, though she did request that some sort of non-conductive fitting be placed on the inside. "It gives me a shock as well when something hits it, though it's not very painful, just a bit numbing."
The Harbingers attention was suddenly diverted from the Vampire when she heard footsteps coming towards them. They seemed rather light, even for a mage. Like a... Child?

Astien perked when he heard the voices coming from downstairs, their sound amplified from the shape of the debate hall. He headed down almost immediately once he heard Gwyn's voice among them, darting down the steps with an energy he always seemed to possess. If Gwyn was back that meant he could ask him questions about that book! Besides, Scales only told him not to get into trouble, and he had read a book, so he assumed he could do whatever he liked now as long as he didn't stir things up.
So he darted into the main room, only to visibly stiffen at the sight of the Nords, who in turn looked wary of him. "Fangs, why are there a bunch of brutes here! No one ever tells me these things," he grumbled, clearly unhappy, but he really did need Gwen. He wasn't about to ask a question in front of these brutes though, so he simply snagged the end of Gwen's robe and tugged him out of the hall and outside, but still nearby the debate hall. "Anyways, I got a bunch of questions for you, since I can't find Lizard anywhere."
