Bade & Opth: Initiative Roll (Invented Revolutionists)

Opth took to the air, circling above the cliffside weyr, searching for any signs of where the Resistance Invaders were coming from. Below Bade had just run out of the caverns, taking the external stairway to the flat clifftop. The dark haired woman sheilded her eyes, taking a moment to admire the beauty of her crimson soaring high above. ~ Anything yet my love? ~

~ No signs so far Mine. They can't be far but I can get no co-ordinates or hints from them. Do not worry! We will find them and put an end to their tyranny! We will take our rightful places with force! ~ In her exuberance she swooped through the air, the thrill of their fight bringing an almost lustful glow to her ruby hide.

Adi and Mazamath, Initiative Roll

This was horrible. Adi had thought things were bad before, with the leadership of the Weyrs attacked and murdered, then the in-fighting, then Thread, but now...now there was war. The wherhandlers had risen up and taken the Weyrs by force - by force! They'd hurt people, killed people. It was completely terrifying, and far beyond anything she had ever imagined.

She had no idea how to even process and deal with it. Her first response had been to cry, then cry some more, until she just felt numb. It was the only way she could even begin to function.

Mazamath was worried about her. His was not like His at all. He didn't want to fight or even patrol; he wanted to tend to his, to spend his time and energy soothing her, but they didn't have the luxury of time. They needed to win back their home before there would be time for such things.

The blue glided through the air with his rider on his back, surveying the area. A flash of red caught his eye, the telltale hide of a crimson, and he sent, Who goes?

Bade & Opth: Idle

Opth's aerial acrobatics came to am abrupt halt as she caught sight of the blue. She bugled, at one time he might have been a potential suitor for her, right now she couldn't be sure. ~ Opth! Are you friend or foe?~ At the last word she bared her fangs, her eyes bright. Not knowing who was on their side or not made her patrol touchy but she at least knew better than to attack an ally. The blue had his rider as well. For the time being he was safe from her claws. She deliberately neglected to mention her rider far below them.

Bade caught Opth's end of the conversation, scanning the skies herself to see who her dragon addressed. Against the blue of the sky it was difficult to see Mazamath at first. Her shoulder's tensed, not many riders had joined their cause but she knew she wasn't the only one. From the ground she waited with held breath for Opth's confirmation.

Adi and Mazamath, Idle

A potential suitor, former or current, the blue was not. He didn't like to spend his energy on Flights, and could only be urged into attempting them if his rider had a particularly compelling reason for him to participate.

That depends, he returned, circling slowly down, On whose friend you are. Do you answer to the Weyrs, or to the whers?

He touched to the ground, allowing His to dismount. If this did turn ugly, he didn't want to endanger her by fighting with her on his back.

Bade & Opth: Idle

Opth circled lower, not leaving the air but distrusting this unknown so close to Hers. She tossed her head back proudly. ~ We do not Answer to the whers. Though our interests may lie alongside theirs. ~ There. Her side was declared, now it was up to him to reveal his own for better or for worse. She had a suspicion though that this would not end peacefully.

On the ground Bade listened to her half of the exchange. The proud notes in her dragon's voice giving her a hint as to what was being said. She stayed clear as the other rider dismounted, still unclear as to their intentions.

Mazamath, Attacking Opth

With His safe on the ground (or at least, safer than she would have been on his back), Mazamath listened to the crimson's answer and made a mournful sound before throwing himself back into the air. He truly didn't want to fight this other dragon, but what the whers and their allies had done wasn't right. They had to be stopped!

The blue sped towards her, ready to use his claws.

Adi, Idle
((Forfeiting her initiative, 'cause she's a wuss. xP))

"Maz..." Watching her dragon fly off to fight another, Adi swallowed hard. Oh, this was terrible, so terrible - she didn't even want to watch! She wanted to close her eyes, but then she'd wouldn't be able to see that Mazamath was okay, and and she needed to know that he was okay. Be careful!

Opth: Attacking Mazamath

Her suspicions were correct as Mazamath launched himself at her, his claws raking trails into her hide before she had a chance to dodge. She gave a hissing draconic grin and spun in the air, taking a swipe at him as he passed by.

Bade: Attacking Adi

Bade strode up to the other girl where she stood watching her blue. It was almost to easy. She wasn't even considering her own safety! Bade shook her head with a small laugh. "Your funeral darling..." She reared back and aimed a high kick at Adi's head.

Mazamath, Defending Against Opth

He was not pleased when he managed to get his claws into the other dragon; rather, it was a distasteful feeling, a sense of repulsion. This was not what they were supposed to do. This was not what dragons were meant for!

But what choice did he have? He couldn't hide and rely on others to fight for him, without giving what help he could to regain their home. Then His was attacked, and the crimson slashed at him with wicked claws. Mazamath roared, trying to fend off the blow as best he could.

Adi!

Adi, Attacking Bade

Even though the crimsonrider laughed and spoke before striking, Adi was caught by surprise. She stared wide-eyed as a foot sped towards her face, and reeled back when it connected. That...that had hurt! She'd never been actually, physically hurt by another person before, and it was shocking.

Adi! Mazamath's voice cut through the confusion. Fight back! You must fight back!

With a wretched sob, she threw a wild punch at her attacker. It went against everything she was, but her bondmate was right. They had to fight. They had to survive.

Opth: Attacking Mazamath

Opth roared along with him and feinted as her first blow was blocked. She would drive this weakling from the skies! But first she would toy with him. ~ Scared? ~ She taunted, her teeth bared in challenge.

Bade: Attacking Adi

Her head cracked to the side as Adi's wild swing found it's target. She brought a hand up to her face, touching her lip with both fingers and tongue, tasting the salty sting of blood were her teeth had cut into the flesh. She laughed again and nodded appreciatively. "Not bad..." She lunged forward, using her body's momentum to return the favor.

Mazamath, Attacking Opth

Disappointed, Mazamath answered. No, he was not afraid of the other dragon, but he was afraid for His. Adi was not a fighter, and even if by some miracle she were to defeat the other rider, he feared what the effects would be. Violence was not in her nature, and he could feel her horror not only at being attacked, but at her own retaliation.

He could only hope that if he were to deal with the crimson, her rider would cease her attacks on His. To that end, he struck out with his claws.

Adi, Defending Against Bade

Adi cringed upon feeling her fist impact the other woman's face, and was quick to pull her hand back. She didn't know how to punch properly, and her hand stung with the pain of it. The crimsonrider's laugh sent a shudder through her, and as she lunged forward to hit back, Adi threw up her arms in front of her face in an attempt to protect herself.
