Too young to quite know what to do with her new long limbs, but too old now to be stumbling around like a filly who has just received them, Tastes Like Summer was walking slowly through the swamp, testing the spring of the ground beneath her hooves, and breathing in slow even breaths that filled her lungs with the warm, humid swamp air. She threaded her way between the trees and around bogs with careful eyes and even more careful hooves. She had no idea where she was headed, only that she was going somewhere and it didn't much matter where she was going so long as she could stretch out her legs and test her hooves. If she met any kin along the way, it would be an added bonus for she always loved to meet new kin. She rounded around a tree and was confronted by an oddly organized collection of plants that didn't seem like they would often grow together and certainly not in the neat way they were right in front of her nose. She approached on light hooves and bent down to take a closer look at the collection of plants. Starburst didn't dare touch though, especially the plants that she had never seen before. Some of them were very strange and she backed away slightly, afraid that even just breathing too long on them would disturb them. Looking around at the ground around the large collection of plants, she saw hoof prints that seemed to encircle the entire collection, larger than hers, two sets since there were two different hoof sizes. Curious, she followed one set in an entire circuit around the plants, stopping whenever a plant caught her eye before ending up where she had started. Looking up and around, she wondered how these plants all ended up here, perhaps there was a kin who had done this and if there was, she would like to meet him or her for the plants were all so varied and beautiful, the idea was splendid.

Mugwort watched the doe wander around the garden, staying well out of sight. As much as he distrusted strangers and wanted her gone, he also found her to be respectful, and rather pretty too. So he didn't disturb her, instead he fought an inner battle. On the one hoof she didn't belong, on the other the garden was more Sorr's then his and his sister allowed visitors. So long as they didn't hurt the plants. If he ran this doe off and Sorr found out she'd be mad at him, and she was already mad at him for his views on having children with an unknown buck. Mug didn't want his sister to be angrier at him.
To make matters worse watching his sister's children has made him crave his own. A goal needing an unrelated female to complete. A stranger. An unknown Kin. Perhaps Sorr was right in believing that - sometimes at least - it is okay to let a stranger in.
As the doe comes back to her starting point Mug steps from the shadows of the trees and approaches her. "Hello." He says, keeping voice and face neutral.

Starburst was examining a particularly bright flower when she was startled by a sudden hello. Bounding a few steps in a strange bouncing gait away from the garden, the doe stood on light hooves, feeling quite like a trespasser in that moment. When she finally took a good look at the source of the hello, she was caught by the buck's unusual scales. They extended all along his back and up his neck to his head. They were like a collection of rocks at the bottom of cliff, dangerous but also alluring in an odd way. Then, his color, such a beautiful pink, like the blush of the sky during the sunrise.
Captivated, Starburst took a few steps forward before stopping. It was only then that she remembered her manners and dipped her head down in greeting. "Hello."
A few quick moments later and smiling, sweetly and broadly, with minimal nervous shifting, Tastes Like Summer ventured to ask, "Are these plants yours?"
[quot="venafydan"]Not rushing you, just wasn't sure if you saw this. Take as much time as you need to reply~♥

Mug gives the doe a slight smile, despite himself. "Not exactly. This is my sister's garden, I just help her tend it when she's away." He answers. He watches the doe, knowing this is the point when most Kin would introduce themselves. But the thought of giving his name to a stranger doesn't sit easy with him. Maybe if he can get her talking she'll forget, and give him some time to get to know her first before exchanging names. "She feels the garden is soothing. To me it's more like work, digging and gathering, but it has it's uses." He elaborates. "Do you keep plants? Or pets?" he asks.

Starburst returns the smile easily, she is still nervous, but the buck seemed kind. He didn't seem to mind her trespassing much at least. She tilted her head as he talked of the... garden. What a new, strange, but wonderful concept. Gardens. She wanted to say it aloud, test the word on her tongue, but it would be strange for her to just blurt it out, so she resists and listens to the buck speak. Digging and gathering, work. That too was new, Starburst was too used to simply running as she pleased, singing to the trees, and stopping when she wanted to. She paused for a second, finding her voice, before answering, "No, I don't." She stopped again, just a brief moment so that she may answer the buck's question properly, "I've never thought out keeping plants before and I haven't come across any creature that I've considered keeping as a pet." venafydan Sorry about the double quote! Wanted to make a little change to the post~
